SHEEHAN - Chris, aged 61 years, at home surrounded by his loving family, most dearly loved husband of Chris, such a special dad to Judith and Joanne and absolutely adored 'Ra-Ra' to Grace, Evie, Harry, Sam and Madeleine. Chris touched so many people's lives and was a much loved brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. A private family cremation will be followed by a service to celebrate his life in All Saints' Parish Church, Northallerton at 10.45 a.m. on Thursday, November 15. All friends are invited to join us. In lieu of flowers we would be grateful of donations to 'The Ward 2 Fund' who have cared so much for Chris. Please send donations to Vicky Ellis Furniture, Field House, Yafforth, Northallerton, DL7 0QE. Chris was and always will be the 'light of our lives' and a truly special person who brought us so much happiness.

SHEPHERD - November 8, of Saxby Drive, Sunnybrow. Peter, aged 48 years, loving husband of Gail, also a devoted son, dad, grandad, brother-in-law and uncle. Friends please meet for service at Sunnybrow Community Chapel on Friday, November 16 at 2.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers for a memorial bench in memory of Peter, may be left with the family.

SHERWOOD - November 7, (peacefully, in hospital). Dorothy Miriam, aged 94 years, of Darlington. Beloved wife of the late Edwin and much loved mother of Paul. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday November 20, 1.15 p.m. at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only by request.

SIDDLE - November 8. William Taylor, of Bishop Auckland, peacefully in hospital after a short illness borne with his usual strength and dignity. Loving husband and best friend of Cynthia and the late Julia, a much loved and loving father of Alan and Joan, David and Liz and grandfather of Jonathan, James, Daniel, Rebecca, Jessica, Patrick, Alistair and Timothy, great-grandfather of Sîan and Jack. Will be sadly missed by nieces and nephews and all who met him and said it had been a pleasure to have known him. R.I.P. Will friends please meet for service in St. Andrew's Church, Bishop Auckland at 11.15 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only by request. SIMPSON - On November 13, Norman, born February 22, 1930, formerly of Durham and Northumbria Constabularies. Dearly loved husband of June, a loving and caring father of Ann, Nicholas and Deborah, much loved grandfather of Katie, Becky and Phoebe and a loved and respected brother-in-law. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday, November 20 at 2.00 p.m.

Josephine (Ena, nee Shaw) aged 86 years beloved wife of the late Pat, a loving mother of James and Margaret, a dearly loved nana of Paula and Caroline, also great-nana of Matthew, Ella and Abbie. Wife of the late Benjamin Robson, loving mother of Jean and the late Ann, mother-in-law, nana and great-nana. Funeral service to be held at Darlington Crematorium on Wednesday November 21, at 1.15 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium.

STOCKDALE - November 13, (peacefully, at home after a short illness), of Coniston Way, Carlton Miniott, Thirsk. Les, aged 80 years. Beloved husband of Peggy, loving father of Margaret, Tricia, Derek and brother to Cyril and John, a dearly loved father-in-law, grandad and great-grandad. The funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Church, Thirsk on Friday November 23, at 1.00 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made in church for local cancer support groups.

TATE - Hilda (nee Crisp), aged 70 years, of Evenwood, peacefully in hospital on November 13. Beloved wife of the late Ronald, much loved mam of Susan and a loving gran of Billy. Thomas Aquinas, aged 80 years, dearly loved husband of Betty, loving father of Paul, Geraldine, Michael, Stephen and Christopher, a much loved father-in-law and grandad and dear brother of Peter. THOMPSON - Robert (Bob) Dearly loved husband, father and grandfather to Sheila, Michael and Melissa, Richard and Kari, Olivia, Bobby, Alexander, Natalie and Sebastian. Died unexpectedly in Darlington Memorial Hospital on November 12, he will always be remembered as a true gentleman whose life was devoted to thinking of others, he will be sadly missed and always remembered by his family and many friends. WALKER - November 10, (peacefully, in hospital), of Bakewell Place, Newton Aycliffe, (formerly of Ricknall). Jean, aged 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Douglas, loving mum to Janet and Margaret, dearly loved mother-in-law to Stephen and Anthony, devoted grandma of Samuel, much loved sister to Muriel and the late Bill, also a dear aunt. Margaret Monica, wife of the late George Walton, dearly loved mother of Audrey and grandmother to Rebecca and Jonathan. WATERS - Alf, aged 79 years, of Redmire, died peacefully at home on November 11, after an illness borne with great courage and dignity and surrounded by his family.
