Major Geoffrey Mortimer, beloved husband of the late Norah, dearly loved father of Timothy and the late Joanna, also a much loved father-in-law and loving grandfather of Rebecca, Georgina, Claire and Matthew and a great-grandfather of Molly. Funeral Monday, November 12. Friends please meet for service in All Saints' Church, Blackwell at 1.00 p.m., followed by cremation.

Ada, aged 83 years, dearly loved wife of Allan, loving mother of Judith and Allan, also a much loved mother-in-law, gran, great-gran and sister. Cortege leaving residence at 1.05 p.m. on Friday, November 9 for service in St. David's Church, Tudhoe at 1.15 p.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium. All are welcome back to Croxdale Club afterwards.

Renee, aged 87 years, beloved wife of the late Ronnie, a much missed mam of Susan and the late Barbara and mother-in-law to Gerard and Kevin, also a dear nan to Marie, Michael and Lauren. Would friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Friday, November 9 at 10.30 am

REEVES - October 26, peacefully at home, Hallgarth Street, Durham. Charlotte, aged 25 years, loving daughter of Hazel and Michael Webster and a treasured sister of Alice. Friends please meet for service at Durham Cathedral on Friday, November 9 at 2.30 p.m. Private interment to follow in Bow Cemetery.

Rita (nee Coates), aged 77 years, much loved wife of the late Alan, dear mother of Sheila, mother-in-law of Mark and loving grandma to Sarah and Rachael. Funeral to take place on Wednesday, November 14. Would friends please meet for service at St. Mary Magdalene Church Belmont at 11.30 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Audrey (nee McCaughey) aged 82 years, the devoted and wonderful wife of Michael, a much loved and loving mam to Marie, Michael, Tony, Owen, Paul, Gerard, Anne, Francis and Theresa, a dear mother-in-law, grandma and great-grandma, also sister, sister-in-law and aunt. To be received into St. Cuthbert's R.C. Church, Crook at 6.00 p.m. on Thursday, November 8. Requiem Mass on Friday, November 9 at 10.00 a.m. Interment in the Church yard to follow. Vera (nee Walker, formerly Collin-son), aged 78 years, dearest mother of Diane, mother-in-law of Alastair much loved grandma of Jamie, Katie and Sophie, also a dear step-mother of Richard and wife Elsie and grandmother of Andrew and Jennifer. Vera will be accepted into St. Helen's Church, St. Helen Auckland on Thursday, November 8 at 6 p.m. Friends please meet for service in St. Helen's Church, St. Helen Auckland on Friday, November 9 at 2.00 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Kenneth, aged 94 years, late of Park Lane, Darlington, beloved dad of Maurice and Margaret, a much loved father-in-law, grandad and great-grandad. Funeral Monday November 12. Would friends please meet 10.45 a.m for service at Bondgate Methodist Church, Darlington, followed by interment in the West Cemetery.

STORRAR - Janie October 24, peacefully. Janie, dearly loved and devoted wife of the late David Storrar (former Veterinary Surgeon of Stanhope Road, Darlington). A Service of Thanksgiving for her life will be held at All Saints' Church, Ravensdale Road on Monday, November 12 at 2.30 p.m. At Janie's own request, her body has been donated to medical research.

STRAUGHAIR - October 27. Robert Claude, aged 86 years, of Catterick. Husband of the late Edith, a dear father of David, Raymond and John and father-in-law, grand-father and great-grandfather. Funeral service to be held at Darlington Crematorium on Thursday November 8, at 1.15 p.m.

TAYLOR-McCOLL - Lynda Caron, aged 41 years, formerly of Colburn, died tragically in Perth, Western Australia on October 22. Dearly loved daughter of Trish and stepdaughter to Matt, dearly loved daughter of Bob, much loved mum of Ricky and Jasmine, loving sister to Philip, Mandy and Louise and beloved granddaughter of Mrs. Edna Orton. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at St. John's Church, Hipswell on Wednesday, November 14 at 1.00 p.m., followed by interment of cremated remains in Hipswell Cemetery. Friends please meet at the church. Flowers welcome or, if preferred, donations for the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID) may be sent care of John Blenkiron and Sons Ltd., Funeral Directors, Victoria House, 21 Queens Road, Richmond, DL10 4AJ.

WARD - Elsie, died peacefully at home in Colburn with her family around her on Saturday, November 3, 2007. Wife of the late Tom Ward, precious and dearly loved mother of Anne, Sherry and Robin, a wonderful nana to Jody, Mellieha, Adam and Sophie, a deeply missed and much loved mother-in-law of Keith and Louise.
