Cortege to leave the residence Wednesday, October 17 for service at Durham Crematorium at 11.00 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel. No flowers please by request.

BAKER - October 11, peacefully, of Brinkburn Road, Darlington. Dennis, aged 70 years, beloved son of the late Robert and Emma, dearly loved brother of Kathleen, Irene, Ron and the late Connie, dear brother-in-law of Arthur and June and a loving uncle. Funeral Friday, October 19. Friends please meet for service in St. Mary's Church, Cockerton at 10.15 a.m., followed by interment in West Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, may be sent for The Great North Air Ambulance Service, c/o Seaton Leng and Son Ltd., 59a Bondgate, Darlington, DL3 7JR.

Eleanor (Ella), aged 85 years, dearly loved wife of the late Ernie, much loved mam of Sandra and Barbara, dear mother-in-law of Kevin and Billy, loving granny of Dean, Shelley, Andrea, Rachel, Kelly Ann, Paul and Billie Jean, great-granny of Anna, Connor, Harvey and Nathan and loving aunt of Sharon and Carol. Funeral Monday, October 15. Friends please meet for service in St. John's Church at 12.30 p.m., followed by interment in West Cemetery.

BAMBROUGH - October 8 (suddenly at home), of Barnfield Road, Spennymoor. Sheila, aged 56 years, dearly loved mam and best friend of Paul and Jill, a very dear mother-in-law of Claire and Wayne, a devoted grandma of Olivia, also a much loved sister, sister-in-law, aunty and bestest mate. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium tomorrow, Friday, October 12 for a service and committal at 2.00 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, may be left in the collection plate at the crematorium for the families nominated charity.

BELL - Doris, aged 85 years, of Butterknowle, peacefully in the Richardson Hospital on October 7. Beloved wife of the late Edward William Bell, much loved mother of Dorothy, Eric and Michael, a dear mother-in-law, loving grandma and dearest sister and aunt. Funeral service at St. John's Church, Lynesack on Monday, October 15 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please, donations if desired, may be given for Church Funds.

Sybil Alice, aged 73 years, dearly loved wife of the late George Bolton, a dearly loved mam of Carol, Keith, Susan and Ian, also a much loved mother-in-law, sister, nanna and great-nanna. Cortege leaving residence at 10.20 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10 for service in St. Luke's Church at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment at Rock Road Cemetery, Spennymoor.

BROUGHTON - October 9, peacefully, of Cherrytree Drive, Langley Park and formerly of Wigston Fields, Leicester. Alan, aged 73 years, much missed by all his family and loved ones. CASEY - On October 9, suddenly in hospital, formerly of Durham City, recently of Ushaw Moor. Anthony, aged 78 years, beloved husband of the late Violet, stepdad to Ruby and John, grandad of Pat, Peter, Katie and John. Friends please meet for service at St. Cuthbert's R.C. Church, Durham City on Wednesday, October 17 at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment in South Road Cemetery. All welcome afterwards at The Woodman Inn, Gilesgate.

Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Monday, October 15 at 11.00 a.m.

COATES - Hilda (formerly of Newgate and Park Terrace, Barnard Castle), died peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2007, aged 96 years, in Inverness near her family. Dear wife of the late Reginald Coates (Reg) and a kind, caring and much loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to Jean and family. All her friends and relatives are most welcome to attend a Thanksgiving Service for her life in the United Reformed Church, Barnard Castle, the date to be arranged (probably November).

COCHRANE - Bill William Gordon, aged 84 years, suddenly in hospital on October 4, of Auckland Oval, Darlington. Much loved husband of Ena, dearly loved dad of David, Christine and Margaret, dear father-in-law of Jean, Ronnie and Peter and a loving grandad and great-grandad. Funeral Thursday, October 11. Would friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium 11.15 a.m. Family flowers only please.
