Would friends please meet in St. Paul's Church Tuesday for a service at 12.45 p.m., followed by private committal at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only by request.

TODD - September 27 (of Bishop Auckland, formerly of Evenwood). Deric, aged 73 years, beloved husband of the late Jane Alice, a loving dad of Kevin, Karen and Lesley, father-in-law of Jimmy and David and also a much loved grandad. Funeral service on Monday, October 8 St. Paul's Church, Evenwood at 10.00 a.m., prior to interment in Evenwood Cemetery. Family flowers only by request.

TOMLINSON - September 28, peacefully in Southwoods Nursing Home, of Brompton. Margaret, in her 100th year, dearly loved wife of the late Thomas, loving mother of Roger and the late Peter, dearest grandma to Robert, Philippa, John and Rachel and great-grandma to Sam, Rory and Amelia. Funeral service to be held in St. Thomas' Church, Brompton on Thursday, October 4 at 1.15 p.m., followed by cremation.

TOOKEY - Margaret, aged 86 years, of Southside, Butter-knowle, died peacefully at the Richardson Hospital on September 27. Beloved wife of the late Harry, much loved mam of Robert and Les, dear mother-in-law of Beth and Angela and a loving nana and great-nana. Funeral service at St. James' Church, Hamsterley on Friday, October 5 at 1.30 p.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the church.

TURNBULL - September 28, of Fernleigh, Green Lane, Spennymoor. Thomas (Tot), aged 69 years, beloved husband of Teresa (nee Broomfield), a dear dad of Andrew and a much loved grandad, son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle. Would friends please meet in St. Charles R.C. Church, Tudhoe Village Friday for a Requiem Mass at 11.00 a.m, followed by private interment in Chilton Cemetery. R.I.P

VART - Ralph Talbot of Ramshaw, died peacefully in hospital on October 3, aged 82 years. Beloved husband of Betty, a much loved father of John, also a dear grandfather and great-grandfather. Funeral service at St. Paul's Church, Evenwood on Thursday, October 11 at 1.45 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium. Will friends please meet at the church.

WARD - Frances Elizabeth September 23, peacefully in hospital. Frances (nee Hansell), aged 92 years, of Hinderwell, beloved wife of the late Jim, a dear aunt to Susan and a good friend to many. Funeral service took place at the Methodist Church in Hinderwell on Thursday, October 4 at 10.00 a.m., followed by cremation at St. Bede's Chapel, Teesside Crematorium. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Methodist Church, Hinderwell.

WHEATLEY - (FLT Lt. Ronald Alfred Wheatley Retired). On October 1, peacefully. Reg, aged 86 years, formerly of Lakeside, Darlington. Dearly beloved husband of the late Grace, much loved dad of Jane. Funeral Tuesday, October 9. Would friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium at 11.15 a.m., prior to cremation.

WILLIAMS - Mary On September 30, in hospital, of Ridgeway House and Granville Terrace, Wheatley Hill. Mary aged 84 years. Will be sadly missed by Barry and Allison. Mary, aged 91 years, beloved wife of the late Valentine (Val), a loving mother of Irene, Robert and Violet and a dearly loved grandmother and great-grandmother. Cortege to leave Violet's home on Monday, October 8 at 11.20 a.m. for service in St. Giles' Church at 11.30 a.m., followed by interment at South Road Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers for the Macmillan Nurses and St. Giles' Church Funds may be given after the service. Bus provided.

WINTER - John Your smile has gone forever, your hand I cannot touch. I have so many memories of the one I loved so much. Your memory is my keepsake with which I'll never part, God has you in His keeping I have you in my heart. Goodbye my Darling. Thank you for the wonderful years we had together. John Edward, aged 84 years, dearly loved husband of the late Vera, much loved father of Nigel and Tracey and a dear granda of Daniel and Sam. Friends please meet for service at St. Mary's Church, Middleton-in-Teesdale on Saturday, October 6 at 2.00 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu may be made in Church for Barnard Homes and Reeth Surgery.

WITHERSPOON - September 29, in hospital of Langley Park. Stan, aged 61 years, a dearly loved husband of Irene and a loving dad of Steven and the late Ross. Friends please meet for service at All Saints' Church, Langley Park on Friday, October 5 at 10.30 a.m. Interment to follow in Langley Park Cemetery. ANDERSON - Thomas Alfred (Tommy) aged 90 years, passed away peacefully on September 7 in Grahamstown South Africa. Dearest dad of Carole and Hugh, Susan and Gavin and grandpops of Karen, Deborah, James and Simon. Lovingly remembered by family and friends.

ARKWRIGHT - Frank September 19, at Middle ton St George, aged 73 years. Died peacefully after a long illness, loving husband of Rachel, father of Lesley, Caroline and Michael, devoted granda of five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral service will take place at Darlington Crematorium on Wednesday September 26, at 1.15 p.m. and afterwards at The Fighting Cocks, Middleton St. George. Family flowers only. Donations if desired at crematorium for ward 42 at Darlington Memorial Hospital.

Beloved wife of George, loving mam of Adrian and Stuart, also a much loved sister, mother-in-law, nanna, grandma and great-gran. BARKER - September 24 (suddenly in hospital), of Park Avenue, Coxhoe. George Lambert, aged 65 years, loving husband of Marion, dear son-in-law of Jean and the late Clive, a much loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle and friend to many. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium Friday, September 28 for a service and committal at 11.30 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, may be left in the collection plate at the crematorium for the 'Stroke Association' and 'I.T.U. University Hospital of Durham'.

BARLOW - September 22, (peacefully), at Brentwood Lodge, Leyburn, (formerly of Richmond). Irene, aged 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Harry Barlow and much loved mother of Roger. Funeral service and cremation at West Cemetery Crematorium, Darlington on Thursday October 4, at 1.15p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired for Brentwood Lodge Residents Amenity Fund (plate in chapel). Friends please meet at the crematorium.

BEECH - September 25, in Sandringham Care Home (formerly of Beech Avenue, Spennymoor). Isabella (Bella), aged 85 years, beloved wife of the late John George, a dearly loved mam of John, Maureen and Sandra, a loving mother-in-law and a much loved nanna and great-nanna. Would friends please meet in St. Paul's Church, Spennymoor Wednesday, for a service at 2.30 p.m., followed by private interment in Rock Road Cemetery.

BELL - On September 21, of Wolsingham. Arthur, aged 78 years, dearly beloved husband of Ivy May, much loved dad of Raymond, Christine, Judith and Janice, loving grandad to Andrew, Michael, Dean and Sophie and a much loved father-in-law, brother and brother-in-law. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 11.30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26. After this service all are welcome for refreshment to The Black Bull, Wolsingham.

BRIGGS - Joe, a dearly beloved grandad of Marie and Peter, Michelle and Steven, Tony, Alison and Colin, Joanne and Neil and a beloved great-grandad of Arron, Michael, Ryan, Phoebe and Emily. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts. xx
