WAKES September 9 (peacefully in hospital, after a short illness patiently borne), of Lyne Road, Middlestone Moor. Michael (Mike), aged 55 years, dearly loved husband of the late Joan and partner of Freda, a much loved dad of Louise and Michael, a very dear son of Elizabeth and a dear brother. Would friends please meet in St. Paul's Church, Spennymoor Tuesday, for a service at 9.15 a.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium. Friends are invited to Byers Green Club afterwards for refreshments.

WEST September 9 (suddenly), of Newton Aycliffe. James (Jimmy), aged 74 years, beloved husband of Eva, loving dad of Pauline and Alex and a much loved grandad of Emma, Craig and Danielle. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 17 at St. Clare's Church 10.30 a.m., prior to cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations may be made in lieu to St. Clare's Church.

Marjorie (nee Tanton), aged 81 years, beloved wife of the late Harry, much loved mother of David, dearest mother-in-law of Laura and a devoted grandmother of Freya and Blake. Friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium Chapel on Friday, September 12 2.15 p.m., followed by cremation.

Service at 2.00 p.m. on Monday, September 15 at Great Broughton Methodist Church, prior to private cremation. Donations, if desired, to either the Methodist Relief and Development Fund or the Alzheimer's Society, c/o H.W. Carter Funeral Service, 10 East End, Stokesley. TS9 5DP. Ella, aged 87 years, beloved wife of the late John George Alderson (Jack), a much loved mum of Barry, dearest mother-in-law to Linda and a dearly loved grandma of Andrew, Helen and Christopher. A Service of Celebration for the life of Ella to be held in St. Mary's Church, Hutton Magna on Friday, September 19 at 11.30 a.m., prior to interment. Will friends please meet at church. Family flowers only. Donations in Ella's memory may be left in church for church funds.

ALEXANDER September 18 (suddenly at home), of Selby Close, St. Helens, Bishop Auckland. Charlotte (Lottie), aged 82 years, beloved wife of the late Johnston, a much loved mother, mother-in-law, gran, nanna and sister. Would friends please meet for service and cremation at Darlington Crematorium on Thursday, September 25 at 1.15 p.m.

ALMACK September 9 (suddenly, in hospital), of Green Lane East, Sowerby, Thirsk. Les, aged 75 years, beloved husband of Peggy, loving father of David and Wendy, a dear father-in-law, grandad and great-grandad. The funeral service will be held at St. Oswald's Church, Sowerby on Thursday, September 18 at 12.30 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to the Air Ambulance.

BAILEY Ronald On September 15, of 30 Thames Road, Peterlee. Ron, aged 72 years, dear father of Edwin, Kevin, Robert and the late Valerie, also a devoted grandfather. BAINBRIDGE September 17, of Aycliffe Nursing Home. Isabel, aged 78 years, loving mother of June and Julie, a loving grandmother and great-grandma. Will be sadly missed by all. Alice Maisie, aged 89 years, a much loved sister of Lydia, Kenneth and Sheila (sister-in-law) and the late Colin, also a very dear aunt and great-aunt. Funeral Friday, September 19. CARR September 14, tragically in Wyoming, U.S.A. Michael, aged 53 years, of Horden. Loving husband of Nicola, much loved dad to Paul and Peter and devoted son to Philip and Irene, brother to Helen, grandad, son-in-law of Jim, uncle, nephew, cousin and special friend. Frankie, aged 76 years, loving husband of Muriel, a much loved dad of Alan, Yvonne and Angela, dear father-in-law of June, Robert and Derek, also a loving granda of Nicola, Billy, Terri-Leigh, Shaun, Jade, Paige and Rebecca and great-granda of Lauren and Sophie, also a dear brother and friend to his extended family.
