WOODHOUSE - William Gordon (Bill), aged 81 years, formerly of Priory Villas, Richmond died peacefully at Brentwood Lodge, Leyburn on September 9, after a short illness. Dearly loved husband of the late Betty, much loved dad of Jill and son-in-law Bill and a devoted and loving grandpa of David (and Cara), Wendy (and Dave). Funeral service at Richmond Methodist Church on Monday, September 17 at 2.00 p.m., followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at the Church. Family flowers only please, if desired donations may be given on the plate provided in the Church for Richmond Methodist Church and Brentwood Lodge.

WOODS - Florence (nee Grim-stone) aged 70 years on September 6 in Australia formerly of Hunwick. Wife of the late Walter, loving mam to Carole and John, loving sister of Doreen and a dear aunt. Rest in peace.

YATES - September 11, suddenly at home, of West Cornforth. John, aged 63 years, beloved husband of Marion, loving dad of David and also a dear brother. Will friends please meet for service on Wednesday, September 19 at 9.30 a.m. at Durham Crematorium Chapel. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired to individual's chosen charity.

YETMAN - William (Bill) On September 9, suddenly but peacefully, in hospital. Bill, aged 73 years, of Sedgefield, formerly of Peterlee, a dearly loved husband of Isobel, much loved dad of Stuart, Robert and Craig, father-in-law of Julie, Elaine and Vivien, also a dear and devoted grandad of Jack and Harry. Service and cremation to take place on Tuesday, September 18 at the Crematorium Chapel, Durham at 2.00 p.m. Friends please meet at the Crematorium Chapel.

YOUNG - September 8 (peacefully at home, in Darlington). Raymond (Ray), aged 63 years, a beloved husband of Maggie, loving step-dad of Ada and Stuart, a much loved grandad of Andrew and also a dear friend of June and Kenny. Will friends please meet for service at St. Columbas Church, Clifton Road, Darlington on Thursday, September 13 at 3.00 p.m., prior to cremation at Darlington Crematorium.

ARCHER - Clarence Ernie, died peacefully on September 4, 2007, aged 87 years, a loving husband of the late Mamie, a loving father of Bill, father-in-law of Joan. He will be sadly missed by all his family. The funeral service will take place at Darlington Crematorium on Monday, September 10 at 11.15 a.m.

ARMSTRONG - (Sherburn Village) Suddenly on August 30. Billy (Willie), aged 81 years, devoted husband of Molly, much loved dad of Kenneth, Alan and Muriel, father-in-law of Viv, Julie and Barry, also treasured grandad to Joanne, Matthew and Thomas. Funeral to take place on Thursday, September 6. Would friends please meet for service at St. Mary's Church, Sherburn Village at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment.

Jane, aged 105 years, beloved wife of the late Bert, loving mam to Patricia, Marlene and the late Pam, also a much loved mother-in-law, nanna and great-grandma. Funeral Friday, September 7. AYTON - September 4, peacefully at home with his family, of Quarry Head Lane, Durham. John, aged 83 years, beloved husband of Valerie, loving father of Alex, John, Robert and Alison, also a dear brother of May and devoted grandfather. Friends please meet for service at the United Reformed Church, Waddington Street, Durham on Monday, September 10 at 11.45 am, followed by private interment at South Road Cemetery, Durham. BENNISON - Hugh Hugh, aged 83 years, formerly of Ben-Haven, Scorton. (Prior to his retirement he was a Charge Nurse at the former St. John of God Hospital, Scorton), passed away peacefully and with dignity on Sunday, September 2 at Richmond House, following a long illness. Dearly loved son of the late Frederick and Lily Bennison, much loved brother of Basil and Arthur and the late Hilda, Freda, Howard, Rhoda and Marjorie, dearly loved uncle of Anthea, Joan and Ann and also to his relatives in Australia. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Bolton-on-Swale on Tuesday, September 11 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment at Scorton Cemetery. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please, if desired, donations may be given on the plate provided in the church for the Richmond House Residents' Comforts Fund.

Dearly loved husband of the late Susan, (nee Leybourne), dearest son of the late Laura and Stan, dear brother of Olga, dear brother-in-law of Trish and Eddie and uncle of Graham and Geraldine. Service and cremation at Teesside Crematorium Friday September 7, at 11.30 a.m, (St. Bede's Chapel). Friends please meet at crematorium. Family flowers only please.
