Would friends please meet in St. Peter's Church, Byers Green Monday for a service at 10.40 a.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to 'Marie Curie Cancer Care', 164A Front Street, Chester-le-Street, DH3 3AZ.

CASSIDY - August 29, of Witton Park. It is with great sadness and regret that Ann, Gillian and Peter wish to announce the death of their father Peter, aged 77 years, the devoted husband of the late Ethel, a dear father-in-law to John and Samantha, a much loved and loving grandad, also a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Will friends please meet for service in St. Paul's Church, Witton Park at 2.45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, followed by interment in Witton Park Cemetery. Rest in Peace

Hilda, aged 90 years, dear wife of the late Tot, a treasured mam of Les and John, also a much loved mother-in-law and grandmother. Cremation Thursday, August 30 at Durham, following as service in the crematorium chapel at 9.30 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium.

DAVEY - August 23, suddenly at Oak Lodge Care Home, Darlington, formerly of Westgate Crescent, Darlington. Mary Elizabeth, aged 74 years, beloved wife of the late Jack, much loved mam to Jayne and George, also a dearly loved sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Funeral Thursday, August 30. Would friends please meet 12.45 p.m. for service at Assemblies of God Pentecostal Church, Corporation Road, Darlington, followed by cremation.

DAVISON - (Nee Gilliland) August 22, (peacefully, in hospital), of Croft Court, Lanchester. Lily, aged 90 years. Beloved wife of the late John Francis, dearly missed by all of her family. Friends please meet for service at Mountsett Crematorium on Monday September 3, at 12.30 p.m. Family flowers only please, with donations kindly accepted by Willowburn Hospice c/o, Stuart Wright Funeral Service, Langley Park, Durham.

DIXON - August 28, of Tow Law. Jean, aged 69 years, beloved wife of Dennis, a much loved and loving mam, mother-in-law, nana and great-nana. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 3.00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4.

Alma, aged 88 years, dearly loved wife of the late Harry, a much loved sister-in-law of Shirley and aunt of Astrid and Philippa. Funeral Friday, August 31. DYE - James Ellis (Jim), Warrant Officer RAF Ret'd., aged 84 years, of Richmond, died peacefully in hospital on August 20. Dearly loved husband of Bette, much loved dad of Linda and Patricia and a loving grandad. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Thursday, August 30 at 11.15 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel. Family flowers only please, if desired, donations may be given on the plate provided at the crematorium chapel for The Friends of the Friary Community Hospital, Richmond.

ELLWOOD - Heather (nee Hope), aged 35 years, of Shirley Terrace, Evenwood, formerly of Cockfield, died suddenly in hospital on August 24. Dearly loved wife of John, loving mam of Caitlin and Sean, much loved daughter of Maureen, stepdaughter of Osy and a very dear niece and cousin. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Cockfield on Friday, August 31 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the church.

FOSTER - (Chester-le-Street) On August 21 peacefully, formerly of Bishop Auckland and Moorside. Ethel May, aged 89 years, a beloved wife of the late Thomas, much loved and sadly missed by all her loving family. Audrey, aged 67 years, dearly loved wife of Norman, much loved mum of Karen, mother-in-law of Paul, adoring nanna of Sophie, Jamie and William and dear sister of Doris. Funeral Thursday, September 6. Nancy, aged 83 years, beloved wife of the late Tom, a much loved mother of John, Rita, David and Rick, a loving grandma to Jonathon, Kay, Jayne, Peter, Christopher and Brandon and a dear mother-in-law of Christine, Nigel, Angela and Elsie. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Thursday, August 30 at 10.00 a.m. Donations in lieu of flowers may be given after the service for Cancer Research U.K.
