Freda, aged 91 years, beloved wife of the late Warrant Officer John Taggart, loving mother of Pennie, dear gran to Paul and Leigh, Emma and Gary. Funeral Friday, August 24. Relatives and friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium at 12.00 noon. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, may be sent for the Dogs Trust, Sadberge, c/o Seaton Leng and Son Ltd., Bondgate, Darlington, DL3 7JR.

TIFFANY - Lena, aged 92 years, died peacefully at Brentwood Lodge Nursing Home, Leyburn. On Friday August 17, 2007. A loving wife of the late Bill, she will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The funeral service will be held at All Saint's Parish Church, Northallerton on Tuesday August 28, at 12.15 p.m.

TONES - August 20, (peacefully, in Inglewood Villa), of Kelloe. Robert (Bob), aged 75 years. Beloved husband of Joyce, devoted dad of Robert, Pauline and Sandra and dear father-in-law of Susan, Mick and Michael, also a treasured granda of Alan, Robert, Michael, Jonathan and Lee. Would friends please meet for service at St. Helen's Church, Kelloe on Wednesday August 29, at 10.40 a.m. prior to cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations to Inglewood Villa, c/o Joyce.

TONGE - August 20 (suddenly), of Ferryhill. Richard (Dickie), much loved husband of Sylvia, loving father of Malcolm and Trevor, also a dear father-in-law of Alyson and Angela. Grandfather of Kate, Sarah, Bethany, Alex and Simon. Would family and friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday, August 28 at 3.30 p.m. Family flowers only. All are welcome afterwards at the Masonic Hall, Ferryhill.

TRENHOLME - August 17 (in hospital), of Hambleton Place, Thirsk. Lillian, aged 80 years, beloved wife of the late Reginald, loving mother to Paul, Peter, Christopher and sister-in-law to Kath, a dear mother-in-law and grandma. The funeral service will be held at St. Oswald's Church, Sowerby on Friday, August 24 at 1.00 p.m., followed by interment.

WEATHERILL - On August 21 (peacefully, in hospital), of West House, Tupgill, Coverham, near Middleham. Douglas, (Doug), aged 84 years, dearly loved husband of Margaret, very dear dad of Peter, Alan, Colin and Wendy, a much loved father-in-law, loving grandad and great-grandad. Funeral service to be held at Darlington Crematorium on Friday, August 31, at 11.45 a.m. Family flowers only please, however donations in memory of Doug, if so desired, may be given at the service for I.T.U. Charitable Funds at The Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, or c/o Richard Sanderson, St. Matthews Works, Leyburn, North Yorkshire. DL8 5EG. Will friends please meet at the crematorium.

WILSON - On August 19 (suddenly at home), of Manor Farm, Middleham and formerly of York. Sidney, aged 76 years, beloved son of Christianna and the late Arthur, sadly missed by Bernard and John. A service of thanksgiving and remembrance for Sidney's life will be held at St. Mary and St. Alkelda's Church, Middleham on Wednesday, August 29 at 11.00 a.m. A service will also be held at York Crematorium the following day, Thursday, August 30 at 2.00 p.m., prior to cremation.

WOODHALL - Audrey, of West Cornforth, (formerly of Dunston), died on August 19. Devoted wife of Billy and dearly loved by all her family. Requiem Mass will be held at St. John the Fisher R.C. Church, Sedgefield on Friday, August 24 at 1.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium at 2.30 p.m. Family flowers only. Donations, if so desired, will be given to Freemans Hospital Critical Care Unit.

WRIGHT - Bernard Noel August 15, (suddenly, in hospital, after a short illness), Bernard, aged 75 years, of Hartburn, Stockton. Loving husband of Hazel, dear stepfather of Paul, Ian, Rob and their families, also a dearly loved brother of Pearl, Marjorie and the late Peter, Dick and Doug. Funeral service and cremation to take place in The Chapel of St. Bede, Teesside Crematorium on Friday, August 24, at 2.30 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium Chapel. Family flowers only please. Donations to The British Heart Foundation.

YOUNG - August 15, (suddenly), of Ferryhill. James, (Jimmy), aged 83 years. Loving husband of the late Margaret, much loved father of Pauline, Alan, Anne and Kevin, dear grandad and great-grandad. Friends please meet for service at Ferryhill Village Methodist Chapel on Wed-nesday August 22, at 12.45 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium 1.30 p.m.

YOUNG - In hospital on August 23, of New Acres, Ushaw Moor. Ernie, aged 81 years, dearly loved husband of Louie, much loved dad of Elizabeth and Christine, a dear father-in-law of Royston and Nigel and a devoted grandad of Katharine, Peter and Jennifer. Friends please meet for service in St. Luke's Church on Tuesday, August 28 at 2.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. No flowers by request. Donations to St. Luke's Church, Ushaw Moor. All welcome at Mount Oswald Golf Club afterwards.

ADAMSON - (nee Hence) Anne Elizabeth (Nancy) died August 5, 2007 peacefully in her sleep aged 80 years. Loving wife of the late Thomas, mother of Amanda and gran to Grace, Frederick and Louis. Funeral takes place on Friday August 31, 2007 at 2.30 p.m. in the Milton Chapel, Chilterns Crematorium.

ALLAN - Ivy Eileen (nee Goldsbrough), peacefully at home on August 11, 2007, aged 87 years, a dearly loved mum of Malcolm, mother-in-law to Caroline, grandma to Libby and Peter and a dear sister of Monica. Funeral service to take place on Monday August 20 at 11.45 a.m. in the Chapel of St. Hilda, Teesside Crematorium. Would friends kindly meet at the Crematorium. Family flowers only please.

Agnes Mary (nee Quinn), aged 94 years, beloved wife of the late Lionel, much loved mam of Sheila, Ellen, Lionel, Pauline, David and Peter, a dear mother-in-law also a treasured nanna, great-nanna and great-great-nanna. Requiem Mass at 10.00 a.m. Saturday August 18 at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Coundon, followed by interment in St. Joseph's Churchyard, Coundon. R.I.P

Elsie, aged 87 years, beloved wife of the late Frank, dearly loved mother of Maureen and Kenneth, mother-in-law of Dave and also a much loved nana, great-nana, sister and aunty. Funeral Wednesday, August 22. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass in St. William's Church at 12.30 p.m., followed by interment in the West Cemetery.

ANDERSON - John On August 13 peacefully, at home. John, aged 19 years, of Coronation Avenue, Fishburn, a beloved son of Ian and Jackie, sister Kate, fiancee Lauren and grandparents Stan, Thelma and Nita. Funeral service to take place on Monday August 20 at St. Catherine's Church, Fishburn at 10.00 a.m., prior to interment in Fishburn Cemetery. Friends please meet at Church. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to Macmillan Nurses or Teenage Cancer Trust. ANDERSON - John I will hold you in my heart more gently than any feeling. I will keep you on my mind more lovingly than any thought. Long after this day is over and far beyond each kiss ... in the 'always' that lies ahead and the 'forever' that will be, I'll still be loving you. Your broken hearted fiancée Lauren.

ANDERSON - John You were always our son-in-law, even though you never made it down the aisle. Your courage and dignity were an inspiration to us, you changed our lives so much and we will never forget you. Chris and Jane, Abbie, Tom, Bethany, Jack and Charlie.

Janet, aged 61 years, a dearly loved wife of Peter, much loved mam of Sandra, Julie, Tracy, Lynne and Michelle and a loving mother-in-law, nana, sister, sister-in-law and auntie. Funeral Monday, August 20. Friends please meet for service in St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church, North Road at 12.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium. R.I.P

Ron, aged 81 years, of Liddell Close, Newton Aycliffe, beloved partner of Florence, dearest dad to Pam and Sandra and step-dad to Amanda, Hedda and Bridget also dear grandad to Shaun, Zoe Ann, Sophie and Natalie and great-grandad to Hayley Jade. Funeral Friday, August 17. Would friends please meet 1.00 p.m. for a service at Durham Crematorium. No flowers by request. Donations if desired to Cancer Research.
