Would friends please meet in St. Charles Church, Tudhoe, Friday for a Requiem Mass at 9.15 a.m. followed by interment in Rock Road Cemetery.

JONES April 10, in hospital. Winifred, beloved wife and mother of the late Raymond and Ronald, loved granma of Gary, Graeme and Lisa, dearest mother-in-law of Betty, much loved great-granma of Ben and Hannah and a loving aunt. Funeral Tuesday. Friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium at 3.45 pm

Edward, aged 86 years, beloved husband of the late Peggy, dearly loved father of Andrew and Peter, a devoted father-in-law of Joan and Shirley, also devoted grandfather and great-grandfather. Funeral Friday. Will friends please meet at 9.30 a.m. for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium.

LASZCZEWSKI April 5, formerly of Wales Street, Darlington. Alfred, aged 81 years, beloved husband of the late Lucy, much loved father of Henry and Diane, father-in-law to Philip, grandad to Daniel, dear friend of Regina. Requiem Mass at Polish Parish Church, Manchester on Wednesday, April 16 at 12.00 noon, followed by cremation. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Polish Parish Church, 196 Lloyd Street North, Manchester, M14 4QB.

Charles Sydney (Syd), aged 68 years, of Hamsterley, Bishop Auckland, beloved husband of the late Doris (Trotter), dearly loved brother-in-law to Allan, Colin, Gladys and Pauline. Will friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium at 3.45 p.m. on Monday, April 14. Flowers may be sent or, if preferred, donations may be left at the crematorium for the Heart Foundation.

LLEWELLYN April 4 (peacefully, in hospital), of Hallgarth Nursing Home (formerly of 36 Park Crescent, Darlington). Mary (nee Stanley), aged 80 years, beloved wife of Lionel, a much loved aunty of David, Janet, Mark, Stanley, Steven and Stuart. Would friends please meet for service at 10.30 a.m. on Wednesday in Durham Crematorium Chapel.

LOOKER April 7 (tragically), of Liddle Avenue, Sherburn Village. Stuart, aged 25 years, precious son of Colin and Rita, loving brother of Alison, brother-in-law and best friend of Paul, devoted uncle of Amy and Jessica, a beloved grandson of Doreen, sadly missed by aunts, uncles and all his many friends. Stuart touched the hearts of so many people. Cortege to leave residence at 11.45 a.m. on Saturday for service at St. Mary's Church, Sherburn at 12.00 noon, prior to interment at Sherburn Cemetery. Refreshments afterwards at Sherburn Village Club everyone welcome. A light has gone out in our village.

MANN April 6 (in hospital), formerly of Eden Drive, Sedgefield. Elsie May (nee Cherry), aged 95 years, beloved wife of the late Kenneth, dearly loved mam of Ronald, Pauline, the late Peter and the late Kenny, dear mother-in-law of Ann, Ian and Jane, much loved and loving nana of Jacqueline, Wendy and John, loving great-nana of Natalie, Sean and Emma. Funeral Tuesday. Would friends kindly meet for service in St. Edmund's Church, Sedgefield at 12.00 noon, followed by private interment. 'Forever loved'. Flowers may be sent to Seaton Leng and Son Ltd., Bondgate, Darlington.

McLUCKIE Alexander (Alex) Late of Midland Bank. Suddenly, but peacefully, at home, aged 87 years. Dearly loved and adoring husband of Margaret Raine and the late Jean, remembered always with love. Bobby, aged 51 years, dearly loved dad of Michelle and Richard and a much loved grandad of Corey and Reece, loving son of Jack and a dear brother of Billy and Brian. Funeral Thursday, April 10. Funeral Mass to be held in The Sacred Heart R.C. Church 12.15 p.m. Thursday followed by cremation.

Mavis, aged 66 years, dearly loved mother of Dawn, Gordon, Nigel and the late Paul, also a loving nana and sadly missed by all family and friends. Friends please meet for service at St. Michael's Church, Witton Gilbert on Friday, April 11 at 11.30 a.m., interment to follow in the churchyard.

George, aged 72 years, dearly loved husband of Sheila, loving father of Christine, Gillian, Pamela and the late Wendy, a dear father-in-law and a much loved grandfather. David, aged 92 years, dearly loved husband of the late Emma, dearest dad of Doris, loving father-in-law of Thornton, much loved grandad of Philip, Stuart and Alison and great-grandad of Joseph. PENNINGTON April 4 (suddenly, in hospital), of Shotton Colliery. James David Evans, aged 77 years, dearly loved husband of Joan, loving dad of Linda, Susan and John, a loved and respected father-in-law of John, Marrisa and Ronnie, a devoted and gentle grandad of Mark, Gail, Natalie, Stephanie and Michelle, also a loving brother of Florie. We have lost this wonderful man but Heaven has gained an Angel. Always in our hearts and thoughts forever. Funeral to take place on Thursday.
