STUBBS - It is with great sadness that Geoffrey and Judith announce the tragic loss of Robin, a treasured son, grandson, nephew and cousin. Dearly loved and deeply mourned by his grieving family. A light has gone from our lives, but the love in our hearts will remain steadfast forever. Funeral Friday June, 15, at 1.00 p.m. at The Salvation Army Citadel, Shildon, followed by private cremation. No flowers by request. Donations in lieu to, The Salvation Army, plate available the The Citadel.

TURTON - Angela (nee Iddon), died June 6, a much loved mother, nana, sister and aunt. Funeral Wednesday June 13 at 10.10 a.m. at Thornley Methodist Chapel. Cremation at Durham to follow.

WALKER - June 11, of Helmington Terrace, Hunwick. John George, aged 77 years, beloved husband of the late Mary, a dearly loved dad of Linda, father-in-law of Garry, devoted granda of Emma, Elizabeth and Andrew, also a dear brother and brother-in-law. Friends please meet for service at St. Paul's Church, Hunwick on Monday, June 18 at 10.15 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham.

WALTON - June 7, 2007 (peacefully at home). Annie, aged 86 years, of Cecil Road, Barnard Castle. Dearly loved wife of the late Anty and a much loved and loving mam of Heather, Malcolm, John and Colin and a dearest mother-in-law, nana and great-nana. Sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Would friends please meet for funeral service at Barnard Castle Methodist Church on Wednesday, June 13 at 2.30 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, may be given in Church to Butterwick Hospice and G.N.A.A.S. (Great North Air Ambulance Service).

WELSH - June 12 (peacefully, at home), of Grayson Grange, Middlestone Moor. Frank (Lemme), aged 81 years, beloved son of the late Isabella and Arthur, dearly loved brother of Jenny and Ted and a dear uncle and great-uncle. Cortege leaving sister's residence York Villas Monday for a service in St. David's Church, Tudhoe Village at 9.15 a.m, followed by committal at Durham Crematorium.

WEST - June 8, (suddenly, in hospital). Peter, aged 64 years, of Coxhoe. Devoted father of Barry, Gavin, Kerry and Kimberley. Much loved and loving granda of Grant, Kayleigh, Daniel, Lee and Samantha. Funeral to take place on Tuesday June 19. Service to be held at Upminster Crematorium, Essex, 10.30 a.m.

WHITEHOUSE - June 11, suddenly, of Darlington. Kenneth (Kenny), aged 78 years, dearly loved brother of Muriel, also a dear uncle. Will friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium at 2.15 p.m. on Friday, June 15.

WILSON - On June 11, peacefully in Hallgarth Nursing Home, formerly of Ash Avenue, Gilesgate. Ethel, aged 87 years, beloved wife of the late Joe, a much missed mam, mother-in-law, grandma and nana. Friends please meet for service in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Gilesgate on Friday, June 15 at 11.30 a.m., followed by interment at South Road Cemetery, Durham.

WILSON - On June 13, in hospital, of Lowes Rise, The Downs, Durham. Jean, aged 76 years, dearly loved wife of the late William, dear mother of Nicola and Jill, mother-in-law to Paul and devoted grandmother to Stephanie, Oliver, Georgina and Al. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Monday, June 18 at 9.30 a.m. No flowers please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the British Red Cross or Cancer Research U.K., c/o Stuart Wright Funeral Service, Gilesgate, Durham.

WITHERS - Rosemarie, peacefully at home, in Richmond on June 7. Dearly loved wife of Colin, much loved mum of Sara and Clare, dear mother-in-law of Colin and a treasured granny of Emma. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Richmond on Thursday, June 14 at 2.00 p.m., followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at the Church. At Rosemarie's request, no black clothing. Family flowers only please, donations if desired for Macmillan Nurses and Marie Curie Nurses may be sent care of John Blenkiron and Sons Ltd., Victoria House, 21 Queens Road, Richmond, North Yorkshire DL10 4AJ.

WOODS - Sherburn Village Elizabeth (Betty, formerly Cook) from the family of Mather and Cook, sadly passed away suddenly on June 6. Will be sadly missed by all, particularly daughter Julie and son Michael, daughter-in-law Barbara, son-in-law David, grandchildren Jonathon, Jamie, David, Christian and Rosanne, also great-grandchildren Lily, Georgia and Charlotte Elizabeth. Would friends please meet for Requiem Mass in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Gilesgate at 1.30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium at 2.30 pm and afterwards for refreshments in the Community Centre, Attlee Square, Sherburn Village.

YOUNG - Lindsey (Trimdon Grange) On June 10, suddenly at home. Lindsey, aged 30 years, dearly loved and precious daughter of Denis and Gerry, devoted and much loved mam of Jodie, Kennedy and Reece, dearest sister of Vicky, sister-in-law of Michael. Funeral Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Lindsey at the Parish Church of St Albans, Trimdon Grange Friday, June 15 10.30 a.m., prior to interment at Trimdon Grange Cemetery. All are welcome. No Black to be worn please. Just a prayer from those who love you, just a memory fond and true. In our hearts you will live forever, because we thought the world of you.

YOUNG - On June 8 (tragically). Jayden Louise, beautiful daughter of Sarah Salmon and Jason Young, who will be greatly missed by all of the families. Private interment on Tuesday, June 19 in Shildon Cemetery, following a service in St. John's Church, Shildon at 9.30 a.m. Friends please meet at Church.

ADAIR - On May 31, peacefully at home, of Belmont. Dorothy (Dot), devoted wife of Ron, beloved mam of Kim and Susan, a sadly missed mother-in-law of John, also a precious grandma of Liam and Jack. Would friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday, June 6 at 2.00 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers to Glycogen Storage Disease, plate provided at crematorium.

AYRE - On June 2, suddenly. William (Billy), aged 60 years, beloved husband of Vera, dearly loved father to Julie and Andy, devoted granda to Sam and Sean, dear father-in-law to Jimmy and Lisa and brother to Jack, Bobby, Ronnie and the late Tommy. Funeral at St John's Church, Ashington at 2.45 p.m. on Thursday, June 7. Family flowers only. Donations for Intensive Treatment Unit, Newcastle General Hospital. Bus provided from Crook Marketplace (outside the Church) at 1.00 p.m.

BARKER-COMLEY - On June 2, (suddenly, in hospital). Dawn, of Northallerton, aged 41 years. Is dearly loved and will be missed by all her family and friends. Funeral service and cremation to take place at Darlington Crematorium on Tuesday June 12, at 1.15 p.m.

BARWICK - June 1, (suddenly, in hospital after an illness bravely fought), of Durham, formerly Annfield Plain. Lionel James, aged 51 years. Loved and adored husband of Sandra, beloved father of Gordon and Marianne, sadly missed son of Betty and the late Syd, brother of Lance, a treasured grandad, dearest stepfather of Debbie, Nigel, Graham and Craig, also father-in-law of Tony and Joe. Would friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Thursday June 7, at 1.00 p.m. Forever in our thoughts.

BELL - May 26, (suddenly, whilst on holiday in Corfu). Frank, aged 65 years, of Northallerton, (formerly of North Seaton Village). Dearly loved husband of Ann, (nee Bayly), loving father of Glenn, Liz, Mark and Rachael and a dearest grandad of Lauren, Rosie, Ewan and Alex. Funeral service to take place at All Saint's Church, Northallerton on Friday June 8, at 1.00 p.m. followed by cremation.

BLADEN - On June 4, peacefully in hospital. Arthur, aged 81 years of Gilesgate, Durham. Devoted husband of the late Rita, much loved dad of Christine, Geoff and Lynn, dear father-in-law to Chris, Colin and Christine and treasured granda of Kaye, Lisa and Jennifer. Funeral to take place on Tuesday, June 12. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium at 1.00 p.m.

BLYTHE - June 2, (peacefully), of Broom Dykes, Heighington. John, aged 83 years. Beloved husband of Freda, a much loved father of David and Judith, dearly loved grandad and great-grandad. Funeral Monday June 11. Would family and friends please meet for service in St. Michael's Church, Heighington at 10.00 a.m. followed by interment in the church yard.

BONNER - On June 1, of Nevilles Cross. Esther Vivien (nee Hett), aged 87 years, beloved wife of the late Francis Albert, loving mother of Richard and Kay, mother-in-law of Edith and Tom and a wonderful grandma to Philip and Helen, Ross, Philippa and Charlotte. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday, June 6 at 10.30 a.m. Donations for the R.N.L.I. may be given after the service. Friends welcome for refreshments at the Honest Lawyer afterwards.
