Friends please meet for service at Windlestone Methodist Chapel on Tuesday, May 22 at 12.45 p.m., followed by private cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if so desired to Butterwick Hospice c/o Bob and family.

KERSHAW - May 15, peacefully with dignity, in Darlington Memorial Hospital, of Redworth House, formerly of Byerley Road, Shildon. Margaret Louisa (Madge, nee Tweddle), aged 90 years, beloved wife of the late John, much loved mam of David, also a dear grandma of Lisa. Family and friends please meet for service at Shildon Spiritualist Church on Thursday, May 24 at 10.45 a.m., followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only. Passed through this life with a smile on her face and was devoted to helping others, but now looking forward to being re-united with John and meeting all her friends and loved ones who are waiting for her.

KING - May 13, peacefully, in Springfield Care Home, Darlington. Elsie, aged 85 years, beloved wife of the late Leslie, loving mum to Stewart and the late Paul, also a much loved mother-in-law and nanna. Funeral Tuesday, May 22. Would friends please meet 10.45 a.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium.

LEE - May 15, of Dovedale Avenue, Sunnybrow. Ellye, aged 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Rupert, loving mother of Joyce, Jim, Gerald and Robert, also a dear mother-in-law, grandma and great-gran. Friends please meet for service at Sunnybrow Community Chapel on Thursday May 24, at 1.45 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham. All are welcome for refreshments afterwards at The Prospect Club, Willington.

LIDDLE - May 16, peacefully at home with his family, in Sunnybrow. Christopher (Kit), aged 85 years, devoted husband of the late Margaret, a much loved and loving dad, father-in-law, granda and great-granda, also a dear brother and uncle. Will friends please meet for service in Sunnybrow Methodist Chapel at 11.00 a.m. on Monday, May 21, followed by interment in Willington Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be left at chapel for the Butterwick Hospice.

LISHMAN - Constance May (Connie) suddenly but peacefully in hospital on May 10, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Keith. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, May 17 in Christchurch, Great Ayton at 9.15 a.m., followed by burial in Great Ayton Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Ronnie, aged 85 years, beloved husband of Ethel, loving dad of Pauline and Julie, father-in-law of Gordon, also a much loved and proud gramps of Kendra, Simon and partner Joanne. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 22 Durham Crematorium at 11.00 a.m. Family flowers only by request. Edna, aged 84 years, a beloved wife of the late Arthur, a dearly loved mam of Brian, Anne and Carol and the late Derek and Mary, mother-in-law of Glynis, Linda, Neil and Stuart, a much missed grandmother of Steven, Tanya, Paul, Andrew, Christopher, Emma, David and James and great-grandmother to Emily, Conor and Bethany, also a dear sister to Mary-Hannah, Edward, Ethel, George and the late Ken. Would friends please meet for service in St. Michael and All Angels Church, Esh Village on Thursday May 17 at 12.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only. Donations kindly accepted for Cancer Research U.K. c/o Stuart Wright Funeral Service Ltd., Langley Park, Durham.

MATTIMOE - May 13 (suddenly), of Spennymoor. John, aged 62 years, a dearly loved dad of Chris, Diane and Den, a much loved gran dad of Amy and Bethany and a dear brother and uncle. Would friends please meet in St. Charles' R.C. Church Tudhoe Village Friday for a Requiem Mass at 11.15 a.m., followed by interment in York Hill Cemetery. Family flowers only. MAWSON - May 11, of Crook. Dulcie (nee Powell), aged 83 years, beloved wife of the late George, devoted mam of Jean, Dennis and Doreen, dear mother-in-law to Tom, Hazel and Alan, a much loved and loving nanna and great-nanna, a dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt, also a good friend to many. Will friends please meet for service in St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Dawson Street, Crook at 10.30 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. By request, any donations may be given at the church for the Air Ambulance.

MITCHESON - On May 14, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long illness. Edith (nee Young), of Shinwell Crescent, Thornley. Sadly missed by husband Jack, beloved mam of Susan, Jackie and their partners, as well as the grandchildren and great-grandchildren she was devoted to and also brother Michael and sister-in-law Gloria. Would friends please meet for service at Thornley R.C. Church on Tuesday May 22 at 12.00 noon, prior to cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only. Donations for the District Nurses who made life so much easier for Edith c/o Jackie.

MORRIS - Mary (Molly) Peacefully in North Tees Hospital on May 13, aged 92 years. Devoted wife of the late Len, loving aunt of George and Brian. Sweet dreams Molly from Madge and all the family. Will be sadly missed. Funeral to take place at St. Bede's Crematorium, Middlesborough on Monday, May 21, at 2.30 p.m. Friends please meet at crematorium.

NEESAM - Leonard Aubrey (Len), aged 95 years, of Brompton-on-Swale, died peacefully at Richmond House on May 11. Beloved husband of the late Lillian and the late Mary, much loved father of Leslie, Angela, Stephen and David and a loving grandad and great-grandad. Funeral service at St. Paul's Church, Brompton-on-Swale on Friday, May 18 at 12.30 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please.

NEVISON - May 15, of Bishop Auckland. Robert (Bob), aged 80 years, dearly loved partner of Edith, also a dear uncle and great-uncle. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 11.00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23.

NICHOLSON - May 15, (after a long illness), of Bowburn, (late of Spennymoor). Douglas Edward, (Doug), aged 75 years. Beloved husband of June, devoted dad of David and a much loved brother-in-law and uncle. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium, Tuesday for a service and committal at 2.00 p.m. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired may be given to the family or left in the collection plate at the crematorium for 'Cancer Research U.K.'

NIXON - May 11. Irving, aged 69 years, beloved husband and soulmate of Valerie, devoted dad of Paula and Mark, dear brother of Derek, a good friend to many. Will friends please meet for service in St. Edmund's Church, Sedgefield at 11.00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 22, followed by cremation at Durham. After the church/cremation services, all are welcome for refreshment in The Hardwick Arms, Sedgefield. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be given to the Sedgefield Community Hospital.

NOBBS - May 10 (in hospital), of Bishop Middleham. Martha Ellen, aged 78 years, devoted wife of Derek, loving mother of Audrey, Clive and Ronnie, a much loved grandmother of Lesley, Matthew, Philip, Louise, David, Dawn and Iain, a special great-grand mother, a beloved sister of Sarah and Hazel and a treasured aunt and great-aunt. Friends please meet for service at St. Michael's Church, Bishop Middleham on Friday, May 18 at 2.30 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham 3.30 pm. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to be left in Church for Children's Society. Loving friend to many, will be sadly missed by all.

OLIVER - Great Lumley On May 10, suddenly but peacefully, at home, formerly of West Pelton. Robert (Bob) aged 75 years, loving husband of the late Rachel Mary (nee McKenzie), much loved father of Rachel, Nick, Allison and Steve, devoted grandad of Matthew, Daniel, Nicola, Natalie, Thomas and the late Hannah, also a loved brother and uncle to many. A unique lady, forever in our hearts.

PATERSON - May 16, peacefully in hospital, of Salisbury Terrace, Darlington. Hilda, aged 90 years, beloved wife of the late Danny, loving mam to Keith and Linda, also a much loved sister and aunty. Funeral Wednesday, May 23. Would friends please meet 1.00 p.m. for service in St. Matthew's Church, Darlington, followed by cremation.

PHILLIPSON - May 11, of Crook. Eddie, aged 68 years, devoted husband of Nancy, a dear brother-in-law to Jenny, also a dear uncle. Will friends please meet for service in St. Catherine's Church, Crook at 2.30 p.m., on Thursday, May 17, followed by cremation at Durham. After this service all are invited for refreshments in the R.A.F.A. Club.

PRATT - May 11, in hospital, of 59 Derwent Road, Ferryhill. Hannah (Ann), aged 85 years, dearly loved wife of the late Robert and a dear mam, nan and grannie. Cortege leaving residence at 12.35 p.m. on Monday, May 21 for a service in St. Luke's Church at 12.45 p.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium.

RICHARDSON - May 14, (suddenly), at Appletree Residential Home, Meadowfield. Hannah, aged 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Dick, dearly loved mam of Alan and Hazel, Anne and Raymond, Judith, Joan and the late Raymond and George and a much loved nana and great-nana. Friends please meet for service in The Murray Independent Methodist Church, Brandon on Friday May 25, at 12.15 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only please.
