Elizabeth, aged 67 years (Betty, nee Caine), beloved wife of Alistair, loving mam of Michael and Nigel, a dear mother-in-law, much loved grandmother, treasured aunt and a good friend to many. Will friends please meet for service in St. Mary's R.C. Church, Bishop Auckland at 9.15 a.m. on Friday, April 20, followed by cremation at Darlington.

BLADES - Peacefully on April 17, of Stanhope. Clifford Dalton, aged 74 years. Son of the late Fred and Elsie Blades, a dear brother of Leonard and his late sister Cissie, a much loved uncle, great-uncle and great-great-uncle, a dearest friend of Ann, he will be sadly missed. Funeral Friday April 27 in The Methodist Chapel, Stanhope at 9.20 a.m. to be followed by interment in Crosshill Cemetery. Would friends please meet at church. Flowers would be gratefully appreciated, however, donations to Weardale Community Hospital in lieu of flowers would also be appreciated if so desired.

BRITAIN - John William Sinclair. April 13, (peacefully, in hospital), of Sinderby. Willy, aged 92 years. Dearly loved brother of Raymond, who will be sadly missed by family and friends. Funeral service to take place at All Saint's Church, Pickhill on Friday April 20, at 2.00 p.m. followed by interment.

BROWN - A Memorial Service for the late Pat will take place on Saturday, April 21 in High House Chapel, Ireshopeburn at 2.00 p.m. Will all friends please meet at chapel. Donations in memory of Pat may be given to the British Heart Foundation. After this service all are welcome to refreshment in The Hare and Hounds at Westgate.

BRYCE - David Martin, of Redcar, late of Evenwood, suddenly on April 11, aged 60 years, beloved husband of Marian, much loved dad and grandad, brother and brother-in-law. Funeral to be held St Peter's, Redcar on Thursday, April 19 at 2.30 p.m., followed by cremation at St. Bede's Chapel at 3.30 p.m.

BUSFIELD - April 14 (in hospital), of Front Street, Sowerby, Thirsk. George, aged 75 years, beloved husband of Brenda, loving father to David and Peter, a dear father-in-law to Angela and grandad to Kim, Carly, Daniel and great-grandad to Leila. The funeral service will be held at St. Oswald's Church, Sowerby on Monday, April 23 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment.

CAIRNS - April 12, peacefully, in hospital. John William (Jack), aged 83 years, of Thornley, beloved husband of Mary, a loving father of John and Peter a dear father-in-law, also a much loved grandad and great-grandad. Funeral service on Tuesday April 24 at Thornley Methodist Church at 11.00 a.m., prior to interment at Thornley Cemetery. Friends invited please meet at the Church. Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to the North East Air Ambulance.

CAMPBELL - Rita April 15, peacefully after a short illness, in The Hawthorns Nursing Home, of Kirkstone Avenue, Peterlee. Rita, aged 62 years, dearly loved daughter of the late John and Hilda Mary, sister of George and the late Joan, dear aunt of Shirley, Michael and Andrew and great-aunt of Christopher, Jonathan, Hollyann and Alexandra. Cortege leaving Berwick Chase, Peterlee for cremation at Hartlepool Crematorium on Thursday, April 19. Friends please accept this intimation and meet for service at the Crematorium at 1.30 p.m. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers if so desired to Cancer Research c/o Shirley.
