Church, prior to a private interment in Wheatley Hill Cemetery. On whose soul sweet Jesus have mercy.

MURPHY October 1, of 4 Meadow View, Sacriston. Jack, aged 68 years, dearly loved husband of Joan, a dear dad and devoted grandad to Natalie and Sean. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass in St. Bede's Church on Tuesday, October 7 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in churchyard. No flowers by request.

PASSFIELD On September 29, suddenly, of Leaholme Terrace, Blackhall. Florence, dearly beloved wife of the late Norman, also a much loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Cortege to leave residence on Monday for service at Blackhall Methodist Church at 11.00 a.m., prior to a private cremation at Durham Crematorium. RIEDER September 29, of Crook. Evelyn, aged 64 years, dearly loved wife of Roland and mother of Marc and Tarquin and daughter-in-law of Maria. Friends please meet for service in St. Nicholas' Church, Durham on Tuesday, October 7 at 11.15 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Donations in lieu of flowers for Breakthrough Breast Cancer may be given after the service. Friends welcome for refreshments at Mount Oswald Manor afterwards.

ROBERTS Dougie (late of Evenwood). Died in Victoria Hospital, Canada on September 28, aged 82 years. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Dee), father of Douglas and Dorothy, also grandchildren Heidi Genevieve and Samantha, also brother-in-law of Raymond (Evenwood), very much loved by us all. Still remembered by the good folk of Evenwood and beyond by his saying which was his 'See you on the Christmas Tree'.

STEPHENSON Tony, aged 67, passed away peacefully on September 27, in Stevenage, formerly of Spennymor. Dearest brother of Vera, Ken, Joyce and the late Madge, brother-in-law of Joe and Edna and a dear uncle. Always loved, never to be forgotten.
