Donations, if desired, may be sent for St Teresa's Hospice, The Woodlands, 91 Woodland Road, Darlington DL3 7UA.

GARBUTT - April 14, peacefully, in St. Margaret's Nursing Home. George Ernest, aged 91 years, of Sherburn Village, formerly of Haswell. Beloved husband of the late Winnie, a much loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Funeral service on Thursday, April 26 at Durham Crematorium at 2.00 p.m. Friends please meet at the Chapel.

GARNETT - On April 16 (peacefully in hospital), of South Church. Leonard, aged 70 years, dearly loved husband of Sylvia, dearest father, grandfather and great-grandfather, a dear twin of Les and a much loved brother, also a dear uncle. Will be sadly missed by all of his friends. Cremation Tuesday April 24 at Darlington. Cortege leaves residence at 8.40 a.m. for a service in St. Andrew's Church, South Church at 8.50 a.m. Friends please meet at the Church. If desired donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis and sent to Ward 5, Bishop Auckland General Hospital.
GARNETT - April 16, Leonard, aged 70 years. Dearly loved twin brother of Leslie, brother-in-law of Audrey, dear uncle of Susan, Stephen, David, Christopher and families. Softly the leaves of memories fall, Gently we gather and treasure them all. Unseen, unheard, you are always near, So missed, so loved, so very dear.

HALL - Doris May, aged 81 years, of Victoria Road, Barnard Castle, formerly of Startforth, died suddenly at home on April 14. Beloved wife of the late George, much loved mum of Penny, dear mother-in-law to Keith, loving grandma of Jill and Peter and great-grandma to Thomas. Funeral service at Holy Trinity Church, Startforth on Friday, April 20 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in the Church yard. Friends please meet at the Church. No flowers please, if desired donations may be given on the plate provided in the Church for Holy Trinity Church, Start-forth.

HALL - April 14, of Crook. Rose Kathleen (nee Cunningham), aged 85 years, formerly an Aycliffe Angel. Beloved wife of the late Johnny, devoted mam of Kathleen, John and Joany, a dear mother-in-law, also a cherished nan to Kate, Daniel, Sam and Anna-Rose. Will friends please meet for Requiem Mass in St. Cuthbert's R.C. Church, Crook at 11.00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, followed by interment in the churchyard. All are welcome to refreshment after the service in the Farrers Arms, Crook. Safe in the care of Our Lady of Walsingham.

HANLON - April 17, in hospital. Anne, aged 62 years, dear sister of Marcella, sister-in-law to Keith and aunt to Martin and David. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass in St. Mary's R.C. Church, Bishop Auckland at 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, followed by interment in Bishop Auckland Town Cemetery.

HARRIS - Suddenly, at home, Durham Moor, Durham. George, aged 83 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Lilian, dear father of George, also a dear grandfather, great-grandfather and father-in-law. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday April 25, at 10.00 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired to, Marie Curie Cancer Care c/o, the family.

HARRISON - On April 17, peacefully at home, of Quarrington Hill. Olga (nee Stephen-son), aged 73 years, a loving wife of Alan, a much loved mam of Donna and Stephanie, a loving mother-in-law, gran, great-granny, sister, sister-in-law and aunty. Funeral service to take place on Monday, April 23 at Hartlepool Crematorium at 3.40 p.m. Coach provided. Friends please meet at home address. Refreshments afterwards at The Hawthorn Centre. Colin, aged 74 years, of Thornaby, a caring father of Anne, a dear father-in-law of John, a loving grandad of David and fiancée Ema, Andrew and wife Leanne, great-grandad of Tegan and Alfie Baden, also dearly loved by Rita. Funeral service and cremation to take place in the Chapel of St. Bede, Teesside Crematorium on Tuesday, April 24 at 1.00 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel. JOHNSON - Edward (Eddie) died suddenly at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital on Thursday, April 12, 2007 aged 77 years, born and bred in Hartlepool, beloved husband of Muriel, devoted dad of Paul and Lesley, father-in-law of Julie and John, special grandie of Holley and Gemma, grandad of Nicola and Michelle, great-grandad of Ellie Mae, Lily Grace, Bethany and baby Lexi, dear brother to Catherine and Dawn. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.

LIDDLE - April 18, formerly of Sunniside. James (Jimmy), aged 87 years, beloved husband of the late Bessie, devoted dad of Malcolm and Kevin, a dear father-in-law, much loved and loving grandad to Craig, Nicola and Andrew, also a great-grandad, dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Will friends please meet for service in St. Thomas' Church, Stanley at 1.45 p.m. on Friday, April 27, followed by interment in Thornley Road Cemetery, Tow Law. Family flowers only. Cortege leaving from son's residence Commercial Square, Brandon at 11.10 a.m. for service in the Crematorium Chapel at 11.30 a.m. Transport provided for friends. Family flowers only please.
