BEESTON - Ethel (nee Scott), aged 83 years, formerly of Crook, passed away peacefully, at home on April 1, surrounded by her family, a wonderful mother to Alison, Alicia, Aileen, Adrian and Andrew and loving nana to Jonathan, Natalie, Eve and Grace. Funeral service and interment at Wilford Hill on Thursday April 12 at 2.40 p.m. Family flowers only please, if desired, donations to Cancer Research. Enquiries: C. BLACKBURN - John, aged 68 years, of Eppleby, died suddenly on March 31. Beloved son of Elizabeth, a much loved brother of Tilly, Billy, Jean and Brenda, a dear brother-in-law of Mick, Tricia, David and Tom, a dearest uncle of Janice, Viv, Peter and Joanna, also husband of Ann. Funeral service at St. Cuthbert's Church, Forcett on Friday, April 13 at 1.15 p.m., followed by private cremation. Will friends please meet at the Church. Family flowers only please, donations if desired for The Great North Air Ambulance may be sent care of John Blenkiron and Sons Ltd. Funeral Directors, Victoria House, 21 Queens Road, Richmond, North Yorkshire DL10 4AJ.

BRADLEY - On April 2, peacefully at home in Darlington after a short illness. Arnold Bryan, aged 78 years, a beloved husband of Elaine, dearly loved dad of Andrew and Suzanne, a dear father-in-law of Stephanie and Simon and loving daddad to Nicholas and Rebekah. The funeral service will take place at Lowson Street Methodist Chapel on Monday, April 16 at 12.15 p.m., prior to cremation at Darlington Crematorium. Donations to Cancer Research if so desired, may be sent to Lloyds Bank, Skinnergate, Darlington.

BROWN - Doris March 29, peacefully in hospital. Doris, aged 95 years, of Wellburn House, Stockton (form-erly of Green Rise, Byers Green). Loving sister of Greta, Alma and the late Annie, a dear aunt, also a dearly loved daughter of the late Mary and William. Funeral service and cremation to take place in the Chapel of St. Bede, Teesside Crematorium on Thursday, April 5 at 2.00 p.m. Friends please meet at the Crematorium Chapel.

BROWN - March 30 (peacefully, in hospital), of Darlington. Stanley (Stan), aged 64 years, will be sadly missed by family and friends. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday April 11 1.45 p.m. at Darlington Crematorium. Friends welcome, please meet at the Crematorium. BURRELL - Evelyn April 4, of Croft House, Shotton Colliery, Evelyn, aged 97 years, a dearly beloved wife of the late William, a much loved mother of Eileen and Billy, also a treasured grandma and great-grandma. Treasured and devoted husband of Rhoda, a much loved dad of Michael and Rachel, a loving granda of Robson and Mia, dearest brother of Gerald, Christine and the late Les and a dear brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. Would friends please meet in The Bethel I.M. Chapel, Half Moon Lane, Tuesday for a service at 1.30 p.m. followed by interment in York Hill Cemetery. Family flowers only. CLAUGHAN - April 5 (peacefully in hospital, surrounded by her family), of Central Drive Middlestone Moor. Marina (nee Hopwood) aged 71 years, a devoted wife of Mac, a dearly loved and adored mam of Mary and Fred, a loving mother-in-law, a much loved grandma of Natalie, Conor, Elle and Ben, great-grandma of Grace and a dear sister and aunt. Would friends please meet in St. Paul's Church Wednesday for a service at 1.45 p.m., followed by a private interment. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be left in the collection plate for Church Funds.

CLELLAND - Bridgette Catherine, aged 55 years, of Barton, died peacefully in hospital on April 4. Dearly loved wife of Alastair, much loved mother of David, Rachel and Graeme. Requiem Mass at St. Joseph and St. Francis Xavier R.C. Church, Richmond on Thursday, April 12 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment. Friends please meet at the church. COOK - Violet Mildred (nee Dale), aged 86 years, passed away on Monday, March 26 of Sherburn, North Yorkshire. Beloved wife of the late Henry Cook, much loved mother of Sheila and Ken, mother-in-law of Pete and Linda, grandmother of Paul, Daniel, David and Hayley, great-grandmother of Toni and James. Service and cremation at Woodlands Crematorium, Scarborough on Wednesday, April 11 at 1.20 p.m. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers to Alzheimers Research. A dearly loved wife of Don, a loving mam of Phil and Kath, a much loved nana of Kelly and Kirsty, a dear sister-in-law of Ann and her family. Will be sadly missed by her many friends. Funeral service to be held at Darlington Crematorium on Wednesday April 11, at 10.45 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations if desired for Ainderby Ward Fund, Friarage Hospital. The family invite you to join them after the service for refreshments at North allerton W.M.C.

DENNIS - (Roker) Peacefully, but suddenly in hospital on March 30, 2007, aged 59 years. Andrew (Andy), a very devoted son of the late billy and Sadie, a loving brother of Pam and Bill, a dear brother-in-law of Barry and Geraldine and a much loved uncle of Tony and Michael. Will friends please meet for service at Sunderland Crematorium on Thursday April 5, at 3.30 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to The Multiple Sclerosis Society. A collection plate will be provided at the crematorium. Friends are kindly invited afterwards to The Hastings Hill, Chester Road, for refreshments. DUNN - March 31, (peacefully, in hospital), of Shildon, (formerly of Bishop Middleham). Charles (Chuck), aged 74 years. Beloved husband of the late Pat, a devoted dad of Chris and Bev and a dear father-in-law of Lisa and Ian, also a cherished grandad of Victoria, Christopher, Millie and Joseph. Would friends please meet for service at Darlington Crematorium on Tuesday April 10, at 1.15 p.m. Chuck will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all family and friends.
