PALEY David Paley, formerly of Crook, Co. Durham, died peacefully after a brave battle against a terminal illness, on October 4, 2003, aged 53 years. Dearly loved and sadly missed by his family and friends. Margaret (Peggy), aged 77 years, beloved wife of the late Norman, loving mother of Michael, Margaret, Paul, Colin, June and the late David, much loved mother-in-law and grandma. Funeral Friday. Would friends kindly meet for service in the West Cemetery Chapel, Darlington at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment. Flowers may be sent to Seaton Leng and Son Ltd., 59a Bondgate, Darlington, DL3 7JR.

ARMSTRONG Ada Mary (nee Gibson), aged 86 years, of Elmfield Cottage, Arrathorne (formerly of Langlands Farm), died peacefully at home on October 14. Beloved wife of the late Gordon, a much loved mother and mother-in-law and sadly missed by her twenty two grandchildren and forty three great- grandchildren.
