HAYWARD - February 10 (peacefully at home), of Hambleton Place, Thirsk. Dennis, aged 79 years, beloved partner of Jean, loving father to Yvonne, Leonard, Brian, Nick and Stephen and a dear grandad. The funeral service will be held at York Crematorium on Tuesday, February 20 at 12.00 noon. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to the Coronary Care Unit, The Friarage Hospital, Northallerton. Would friends please meet for refreshments after the service at the Lord Nelson, Thirsk.

HESELTINE - February 14 of Yoredale, Hawes. Joseph Jeffrey, aged 96 years, beloved husband of Rosamond and a much loved uncle of Charles, Elvier, Madeline, John, Edith and Mary. Funeral service at Aysgarth Chapel Monday, February 19 at 11.30 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations if desired for Aysgarth Chapel and the Rudson Hospital.

HEYDEN - On February 11, in the R.V.I. Newcastle. Gerald, aged 82 years, late of Newcastle, formerly of Middleton Tyas and Newton Morrel, husband to the late Jean, father to Gerald (Gerry), father-in-law to Liz, grandad to Scott and Melissa and great-grandad to James. Service Newcastle Crematorium West Road on Tuesday, February 20 at 10.45 a.m. Afterwards at the Fox and Hounds, West Road.

HILL - February 12, suddenly, of Wolsingham, formerly of Brancepeth Village. Doreen (nee Watson), aged 70 years, beloved wife of Michael, devoted mother of Jamie and Peter, a dear mother-in-law, also a much loved and loving grandmother and great-grandmother. Will friends please meet for service in Wolsingham Parish Church at 1.45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, followed by private cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may, if desired, be given for Church Funds.

HINDMOOR - On February 11, peacefully in Langley Park Care Home and formerly of College View, Esh Winning. Ada, aged 80 years, dearly loved wife of the late George, also a dear mam, gran, great-gran and mother-in-law. Friends please meet at Durham Crematorium on Friday, February 16 at 3.30 p.m. Afterwards, all welcome to Langley Park Cricket Club.

HIRD - Suddenly on Monday, February 12, at his home. John Edward (Eddie), aged 63 years, of Mellbecks, Kirkby Stephen. Dearly loved son of Margaret and the late John Clifford, loving partner of Kathleen and family. Dear brother of Joyce and Carol, a sadly missed brother-in-law, uncle and friend. Funeral service at Kirkby Stephen Methodist Church on Monday, February 19 at 11.30 a.m., followed by interment in Kirkby Stephen Cemetery. Family flowers only are requested. Geoffrey (Geoff) aged 78 years, beloved husband of the late Rhoda, dearly loved father of Paul, Lynn and Mark, dearest father-in-law of Jennifer and Billy, a much loved grandad and great-grandad, also a loving brother of Doreen, Ann and Raymond. Margery (nee Miller, of Bowburn), a beloved wife of Alan, much loved mother of David, Peter and Martin, loved mother-in-law of Sue, Heather and Kath, devoted grandmother to Richard, James, William, Duncan, David, Andrew, Kate, Jennie and Charlotte also a loved sister to Helen. JOHNSON - February 11, of Bladeside, Crook. Trevor (Sooty), aged 63 years. Dearly loved father of Trevor, Tony, Diana and Andrew, much loved partner of Jackie, also a dear brother, grandad and friend to all who knew him. Mary, aged 84 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Fred, a loving mother of Maureen and Janice, dear mother-in-law of Ken and John, a dearest grandmother of Shaun and Chris and a much loved great-gran of Ciaran. Private cremation Tuesday, February 20 at Darlington, following a funeral service with a celebration of Holy Communion in St. John's Church, Shildon at 9.30 a.m. Friends please meet at Church.

KIPLING - (nee Metcalfe) On February 9, peacefully in hospital after a long illness bravely borne. Irene, aged 57 years, of Darlington, beloved partner of Geoff, much loved mam of Kenny and Carol, mother-in-law of Sally and Liam, also a much loved nana to five grandchildren. Funeral Friday, February 16. Would friends please meet for service in Cockerton Methodist Church, Darlington at 1.15 p.m., prior to cremation. Family flowers only please. LENEHAN - (Wingate) February 2, peacefully in his sleep at his granddaughter Sharon's residence. Leo, aged 85 years, beloved husband of the late Ella, dearly loved dad of Keith, Elaine, Pauline and the late Jean and Malcolm, a dear father-in-law of Joan, Ray and Johnny, dearly loved gramps of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sadly missed and loved by all family and friends. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Thursday February 15 at 10.00 a.m. Family flowers only please. LONSLOW - Margaret February 10, of Sadberge. Margaret, (nee Blackburn), aged 59 years. Died peacefully following a long illness bravely fought. Dearly loved wife of Terry, devoted mother to her late son Robert with whom she is now reunited, treasured stepmother of Ian and Bernice, loving nanny to Jennie and Jonathan. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. MANFIELD - February 8, in the Friarage Hospital, after a brave fight against a lengthy illness. Arthur, aged 82 years, of Thirsk. Beloved husband of the late Connie, much loved father to Margaret and Anne, beloved brother to Dorothy and Elizabeth, a dear father-in-law, grandpa and great-grandpa. Funeral service to be held at St. James' Methodist Church, The Green, Thirsk on Monday, February 19 at 11.30 a.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. MARSHALL - Framwellgate Moor February 10, peacefully in hospital. Betty (nee Tupling), aged 89 years, a loving wife of the late Dick Marshall, will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends.
