BRADWELL On October 9 (peacefully), of Yohden Court Lodge, Blackhall (formerly of Ludworth). George, aged 93 years, beloved husband of the late Maisie, brother of Linsley, Peggy and the late Jack. Winifred (Freda), aged 97 years, beloved wife of the late Robert, a dearly loved mother of Tony and John, also a much loved grandma of Anna and Laura. Friends please meet for service at St. John's Methodist Church, Whitley Bay on Monday, October 20 at 1.15 p.m., followed by interment at Earsdon Cemetery at 2.00 p.m. Floral tributes may be delivered to Co-operative Funeral Service, Algernon House, Whitley Bay.

CARLINGTON Phil, aged 70 years, of Cockfield, passed away peacefully on October 16. Beloved husband of Lilian, much loved dad of Paula, Stephen, Philip, Dene, Sue and Craig and a devoted grandpa. "Sadly missed by all family and friends". Funeral service at Cockfield Methodist Chapel on Thursday, October 23 at 10.15 a.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Friends please meet at the chapel. CONE Harold (Harry) Gordon, of Melsonby (formerly of Junction Road, Norton), peacefully at home on October 15. COX (nee Fullerton) Margaret, of Newton-le-Willows (formerly of Tunstall), on October 12, aged 93 years. Dear wife of the late Sam, loving mother of Valerie, son-in-law Alan and Andrew's special gran. Funeral service at St. Patrick's Church, Patrick Brompton on Thursday, October 16 at 2.00 p.m., followed by cremation. No flowers by request but donations may be left at the church for Talking Books for the Blind and Church Funds.

DAWSON October 14 (after a short illness borne with great courage and dignity). Stan, aged 77 years, dearest husband of the late Gwen, dad of Sandra, Alan, Peter and David, grandy of Jonty, Max, Madison and Cameron. Funeral Tuesday, October 21. DENT October 12 (peacefully in hospital, after a difficult illness), of 12 Green Howards Road, Rich-mond. Thomas George, aged 66 years, dearly loved husband of Kathie, very dear brother-in-law of Evelyn and Jennie, a much loved uncle and great-uncle. Funeral service to be held at St. Agatha's Church, Easby on Monday, October 20 at 1.30 p.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please, however donations in memory of Thomas, if so desired, may be given for The Brompton Ward at the Friarage Hospital and St. Agatha's Church Funds, for which a plate will be present at the service. GILL Ronald, retired proprietor Pharmacist, late of Spennymoor, died peacefully at home in Durham after a long illness, on Wednesday, October 8, 2003, aged 70 years. Husband of Dorothy, father of Carol and Katherine, father-in-law of Tim and Richard and grandfather to Alice, Philip, Nicholas and Caroline. HAWKINS Barbara Manna (Bar), died peacefully October 16. Widow of Paul and adored wife of Tony Dixon. Hugely loved by her children Mark, Nigel and Serena, grandchildren and her countless friends.
