Mrs. Gloria R. Christian of 2210 X Street died March 26, 2002. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 East Brookland Park Blvd. Funeral notice later.

COVERT
Ray C. Covert, 76, of Powhatan, died March 25, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn G. Covert; two sons and their wives, Calvin and Margaret Covert, David and Paula Covert, all of Powhatan; one brother, Edward Covert; three sisters, Arlean Bean, Shirley Irish and Virginia Hatch, all of New York; three granddaughters, Wendy Plumb and Tiffani and Erin Covert; and one great-granddaughter, Monica. The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60), Powhatan and where services will be held Thursday 10 a.m. Interment Dale Memorial Park.

COX
Elizabeth "Ann" Cox, 71, of Chesterfield, departed this life Sunday, March 24, 2002. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Justin Sutterfield. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Russell K. Cox; children, Rebecca "Becky" Sutterfield and her husband, Tom, Russell K. "Bud" Cox Jr., and his wife, Tammie and Richard K. "Dick" Cox and his wife, Patti; a sister-in-law, Odette Adkins of Hampton, Va.; grandchildren, Ricky and Klare Cox, John and Joey Shelton, Stacy Sutterfield and Megan and Chase Cox; an aunt, Doris Stinnette; and several nephews and cousins. Mrs. Cox was an extremely devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had been a substitute teacher in Chesterfield County and was very active in the PTA and athletic programs. She was also a volunteer at Chippenham Hospital. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Road, where the family will receive friends Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. and where funeral services will be held Thursday 12:30 p.m. Interment Virginia Veteran's Cemetery in Amelia, Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bethia United Methodist Church Parsonage Fund, 10700 Winterpock Road, Chesterfield, Va. 23832

EBERHARDT
Suddenly slipped into eternal rest in God's loving arms March 23, 2002, Deirdre Janeen "Dee Dee" Eberhardt of Creighton Road. Memories of her will be forever cherished by a loving and devoted son, Ryan Eberhardt; loving parents, Henry and Veronia Eberhardt; brothers, Terrance and Vincent Eberhardt; grandfather, Henry Eberhardt Sr.; eight aunts, one uncle, one niece, one nephew; a host of cousins, among them two devoted, Christopher and Cory Pleasant; many friends, among them two devoted, Brenda Holmes and Sheila DeLoach; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave. Funeral Thursday 1 p.m. at First Union Baptist Church, 6144 Derwent Rd., where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Horace Wade (pastor). Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45 p.m. Thursday. Departed this life March 26, 2002, Annie Rose Fleming of Montpelier, Va. Remains rest at the Henry W. Dabney Funeral Home, 518 N. Washington Hwy., Ashland. McCarthy, Director.

JOHNSON
J. Harold Johnson, 83, of Martinsville, died Monday, March 25, 2002. Mr. Johnson was born on October 25, 1918 in Wylliesburg, Va. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Jackson Johnson and Ola G. Lovelace. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Magee Johnson of Martinsville; one brother, Willard T. Johnson; nephew, Tommy Johnson, both of Saxe, Va. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Martinsville Exchange Club, where he was past President, and former board member of the American Cancer Society, Martinsville Chapter. He was a graduate of Wylliesburg High School and Virginia Tech. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 27 at First United Methodist Church, Martinsville. Rev. Ron W. Mateer officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Cemetery, Danville, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the King's Grant Fellowship Fund, 350 King's Way, Martinsville, Va. 24112 or to First United Methodist Church Martinsville, 146 East Main St., Martinsville, Va. 24112.

JOHNSON
Robert M. (Kiar) Johnson of 1903 Elkridge Lane, formerly of 1014 N. 32nd Street, died March 23, 2002. Surviving are three daughters, Yvonne Hatchett, Robnette Allen and Crystal Tucker; five grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two nieces and one great-nephew, three sons-in-law, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott-Lightfoot Funeral Home, 3021 N Street, where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m., and where funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Robert L. Taylor officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.

Nettie Harris Jones, age 80, of Amelia, entered into eternal rest Saturday, March 23, 2002, Amelia, Va. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Jones Sr.; and daughter, Barbara Jones, both of Amelia; sons, Lloyd Jr. and Gerald Jones of Richmond; granddaughters, Trina J. McCoy, Tomika Jones and Courtney Jones; and grandson, Daramus Jones; two great-granddaughters; a brother, Jude Harris Sr. of Amelia; goddaughter, Cynthia Harris; many other relatives and friends. Norman F. Jones, age 77, of Dundas, passed away Monday, March 25, 2002. He is survived by his son, Douglas N. Jones and wife, Sandra of Richmond; three granddaughters, and four great-grandsons; and his long time friend and companion, Cecil Gibson. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Hamner-McMillian Funeral Home, Blackstone. Interment Maury Cemetery, Richmond. Mrs. Mabel L. Kier of Richmond died March 22, 2002. She is survived by her grandson, Clarence Beasley (Shirley); great-granddaughters, Clarice and Candice Beasley; sister, Corinne Miller; nephews, Richard and Douglas Miller; nieces, Ethel and Anna Miller; several great-nieces and great-nephews. KINTNER
Bunny E. Kintner, 86, of Lesland, Doswell, Va., died Monday, March 25, 2002. She was an honor graduate of the University of Louisville and received her master's degree from the University of Chicago. She was active for many years with Fork Episcopal Church in Doswell, having served on the altar guild and as treasurer. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Alvin C. Kintner of Doswell; her daughter, Karen Kintner May of Doswell; her granddaughter, Chantal May Griggs of Richmond; and her great-grandson, Blade Griggs. MOORE
Marion Traylor Moore, 85, of Glen Allen, formerly of Lakeside, widow of Ralph N. Moore, died Monday, March 25, 2002. She is survived by her son, Ricky N. Moore; three grandchildren, Angela Sykes, Nathan Moore and Carson Moore; and her brother, Wilmer H. Traylor. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by a brother, Ben D. Traylor. Remains rest at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28 in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

POLLOCK
There will be a memorial service for Charles Allen Pollock III, who died on March 3, 2002, at St. Peter's Church, 800 East Grace St., Richmond, Va. at 7 p.m. on March 27.

POWELL
Caroline "Duvie" Duvall Powell, 78, died Monday, March 25, 2002. She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Gertrude Duvall and widow of Dr. John Williams Powell. She is survived by her daughters, Anne Powell Maiden, Susan Powell Parker and Elizabeth Powell Mayo; her sisters, Anne Duvall Dunbar and Katherine Duvall MacGregor; five grandchildren, Tracy Maiden Hobson, Sarah Elizabeth Maiden, Robert Walden Maiden, John Williams Powell Mayo and Katherine Lawrence Mayo; and a great-granddaughter, Sierra Summer Hobson. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 28 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the home of Elizabeth Powell Mayo. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 29 at 2 p.m. in Hollywood Cemetery, officiated by William Keith Nesbitt, pastoral counselor, Our Lady of Hope. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Catherine's School, 6001 Grove Ave., Richmond, Va. 23226.
