EIRICH
Arthur L. Eirich, 85, of Richmond, formerly of Long Island, N.Y., died Saturday, February 23, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Virginia S. Eirich; two sons, Leonard of Long Island, N.Y. and Dwight and his wife, Deborah of Midlothian; two grandsons, Steven of Cleveland, Ohio, and Chad of Midlothian; one brother, Joseph of New York City. Mr. Eirich was a member of Discovery United Methodist Church. Memorial service 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. FUTRELL
Clyde Bozeman "C.B." Futrell Jr., 43, of Beaverdam, passed away February 21, 2002. He is survived by his son, Jeremy Collin Futrell. He was the oldest son of Clyde and Saundra Futrell of Nagshead, N.C., formerly of Beaverdam. He is also survived by his brother, William Paul Futrell of Atlanta, Ga.; his sister, Debra Futrell Russell of Montpelier; his loving companion, Heather LaRossa; and her daughter, Virginia Pope; his wife, Pamela G. Futrell. Mr. Futrell was an employee of S & S Paving Co. and Regional Delivery Systems. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Reid Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment Elon Baptist Church Cemetery, Hewlett. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beaverdam Baptist Church Building Fund. DIGNITY MEMORIAL

George Douglas King Jr., 45, of Kenbridge, Va., died February 23, 2002. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer F. King of New York; his sons, Bryan C. King, George D. King III, and Matthew J. King, all of Kenbridge; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George D. King Sr. of St. Augustine, Fla.; his sisters, Patti A. King of St. Augustine, Fla. and Laura J. Wulff of Blackstone, Va.; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Julia King of New York. Memorial services will be held 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, in the Clarke Funeral Home, Kenbridge. Please omit flowers.

McGHEE
Gertrude (Scottie) McGhee, 78, of Richmond, died February 23, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Calvin C. McGhee; a loving and devoted son, Donald Wayne McGhee; two special children, Donna Sue Waller and Bill Wells; a loving god-daughter, L. Cheryl Matchunis; five sisters, Bernice S. Heisler, Bertha S. Bryant, Irene S. Morris, Jean S. Swink, and Joyce S. Crouch; and many extended family and friends. Mrs. McGhee retired from the Richmond Police Dept. in 1975 and was owner of Westover Beauty Box. Her remains rest at Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday. Interment Greenwood Memorial Park.

MOORE
Lee R. Moore, widower of Nettie N. Moore, died Sunday, February 24, 2002. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger L. and Linda M. Moore and Richard L. and Martha Moore; one daughter, Brenda Moore Holt; one brother, Jack Moore; three sisters, Annie Bee Robertson, Allene Hinton and Frances Stanley; five grandchildren, Steve Moore, Jodie Holt Byrd, Burt Holt, Joseph Moore and Tim Moore; three great-grandchildren. Remains rest at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., where services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, with interment in Goochland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

NEVILLE
Ms. Helen Patricia (Patty) Neville of Richmond, departed this life February 21, 2002. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts. Funeral notice later.

PACE
Alice Bridgewater Pace, 93, of Charlottesville, died Saturday, February 23, 2002 in a local nursing home. Born January 27, 1909 in Albemarle County, she was the daughter of the late Francis Marion Bridgewater and Florence Creasy Bridgewater. Her husband, John V. "Tip" Pace; a sister, Harriett Bridgewater; and a brother, Frank Bridgewater Sr, preceded her in death. Mrs. Pace was a retired hairdresser and was a member of the Eastern Star where she was Worthy Matron 1968-1969. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two nephews, Francis M. Bridgewater, Jr. and his wife, Anne of Crozet, and McMullen C. Bridgewater and his wife, Sarah of Richmond; and by many great nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2002 at Riverview Cemetery, with the Rev. John Wilkerson officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Hill and Wood Funeral Home. Please make memorial donations to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1490 Pantops Mountain Place, 22911.

Mrs. Lunette I. Reavis of Richmond, departed this life Saturday, February 23, 2002. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts. Funeral notice later.

RICHARDSON
Oscar "Buddy" Richardson Jr. of Richmond departed this life February 20, 2002. He is survived by his sisters, Mrs. Irene D. Brooks and Ms. Helen V. Richardson; brothers, Elder Joseph R. Richardson Sr. and Mr. Coleman P. Richardson Sr.; four sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His remains rest at the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home. After 10 a.m. Tuesday, his remains will rest at Morning Star Baptist Church, where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Dr. J.R. McCreary officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Elizabeth Chinn Sears of Richmond, died Friday, February 22, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Scott Sears, and is survived by a son, William Chinn Sears of Guelph, Canada; a grandson, Philip Matthes-Sears; and devoted extended family, Virginia and Paul Penland of Richmond and sons, Todd and Tannon Penland, Kathleen and James Pennington of Chesapeake and their children, Robyn and Timothy Pennington, Ann S. Ballard of Chesapeake; and many loving cousins and friends. A graduate of Hollins College, she was an artist, poet, composer and musician who touched all who knew her with the beauty of both her creative and her humanitarian endeavors. The family will receive friends 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, with a memorial service immediately following at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. SIMON
Dorothy J. Simon, age 88, of Richmond, Va., formerly of Charleston, died Sunday, February 24, 2002 in Richmond, Va. She was born September 13, 1913 in Parsons, W.Va., daughter of the late Walter Monroe Pearson and Pearl Agnes Jenkins Pearson of Charleston, W.Va. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ike Simon and a great nephew, Robert "Bob" Blevins. She is survived by her niece, Nancy Esposito and her husband, Nick, of Richmond, Va.; four great-nieces, Lee Ann Orifice and her husband, Burt of Richmond, Va., Dee Ann Simon and her husband, Mike of Princeton, N.J., Nancy E. Hubbard Brown of Richmond, Va., and Suzanne Hubbard of Lake Ridge, Va. She is affectionately known as Noo Noo by those who love her. Before her death, she was lovingly cared for by the staff at Beaufont Healthcare Center, Richmond, Va., to whom the family is eternally grateful. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2002, at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston, W.Va. Bartlett Burdette Cox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Alma Scott Smith, formerly of Beaver Falls, Pa., departed this life suddenly February 21, 2002. She is survived by her grandsons, DeAndre' Moon and Kyle Singleton, both of Beaver Falls, Pa.; sisters, L. Marie Shepherd and Beulah M. Scott; nine nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be conducted at the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home, 9 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2002.

SMITH
Elwood Lukin Smith, 74, of Rustburg, died Sunday, February 24, 2002 in the Medical Care Center in Lynchburg. He was the husband of the late Beatrice Bogen Smith. Born October 27, 1927 in Campbell County, he was a son of the late Rex and Minnie Morris Smith. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired from the U.S. Department of the Defense. He is survived by a son, Jeffrey Smith of Spotsylvania; two daughters, Marsha Hamilton of Midlothian, and Debbie Elliott of Richmond; three brothers, Glenn Smith of Midlothian, Sammy Smith and Wayne Smith, both of Rustburg; three sisters, Margaret Cash, Kathleen Jennings, and Nell Martin, all of Madison Heights; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2002, in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. Charles Langley and the Rev. Jeffrey Smith, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Finch & Finch Inc. Funeral and Cremation Service, Gladys, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday. The family suggests that those wishing to make memorials consider the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, c/o W.E.
