DISMAL, Va. -- Worley Carson Stanford, 63, died Monday, Aug. 10, 1998, in a Richlands hospital.
He was a native of Dickenson County and was a disabled coal miner.
He was a member and deacon of the Crystal Block Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Elletha Vandyke Stanford; two daughters, Mrs. Wanda Mitchell, Dismal, and Mrs. Bonnie Clifton, Haysi; four sons, Larry Stanford,
Green Acres, Va., Kenny Stanford and Terry Stanford, both of Dismal, and Timmy Stanford, Pea Patch, Va.; three brothers, Clyde Stanford, Abingdon, Chester Stanford, Yukon, W.Va., and Raymond Stanford, Chicago, Ill.; four sisters, Alma Edwards, Pilgrims Knob, Va., Ruth Harlow, Warner Robins, Ga., Sue McBurnett, Ashville, Ala., and Dorothy Rife, Richlands; and 14 grandchildren.

Harold W. Stanley
MEADOWVIEW -- Harold W. "Bill" Stanley, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1998, in Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center.
He was a native of Washington County and had lived most of his life in Meadowview.
He was a former building contractor and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Doris Stanley; two daughters, Claudia E. Stanley and Teresa S. Poston, both of Meadowview; one son, Harold D. Stanley, Abingdon; four sisters, Nellie Casey, Glade Spring, Thelma Pefferman, Arlington, Va., Dorothy Daugherty, Darlington, Md., and Virginia Hamm, Chilhowie; one brother, Harley Stanley, Glade Spring; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Carl G. Anders
ABINGDON -- Carl G. Anders, 58, died Thursday, Aug. 20, 1998.
He had lived near Abingdon all his life and was a former employee of Flav-O-Rich.
Survivors include one cousin, Marie Bailey, Bristol Virginia; several other cousins; and several nieces and nephews.

Georgia M. Beatty
DETROIT -- Georgia Mae Beatty, 70, of 606 E. Sevier Ave., Apt. 84, died Thursday, Aug. 20, 1998, in Holy Cross Hospital, Detroit.
She was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church where she was the church treasurer and a choir member.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary E. Pharr and Charlotte Beatty, both of Detroit; one son, Sean Gillenwater, Kingsport; six brothers, the Rev. William Beatty and the Rev. Richard Beatty, both of Hazard, Robert Beatty and James Beatty, both of Kingsport, Calvin Beatty, Brooklyn, N.Y., and Jerry Beatty, Kansas City. Kan.; five sisters, the Rev. Gloria Ferguson and Mrs. Virginia Hill, both of Kingsport, Mrs. Revella Combs, Hazard, Mrs. Gracie Sanford, Hampton, Va., and Mrs. Anna R. Smith, Lenoir, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Eddie E. Bozard
Eddie E. Bozard, 79, of Bristol Tennessee, died Friday, Aug. 21, 1998, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Orangeburg, S.C., and a resident of Bristol for the past nine years.
He was retired from Commercial Cold Storage, Dorville, Ga., as a supervisor, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Shelby Street Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine
Powell Bozard; one daughter, Gloria Couch, Statesburg, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Penny Santos, Riverdale, Ga.; one grandson, Scott Cary; and one step-granddaughter, Cheyanne Crawford.

MARION -- William Edward Church, 55, of Stoney Battery Road, died Friday, Aug. 21, 1998, at his home.
He was a native of Marion.

Clyde M. Cornett
Clyde M. Cornett, 76, of Bristol Virginia, died Friday, Aug. 21, 1998, in Wellmont-Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Damascus and had made his home in Bristol most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired from Burlington Industries.
He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Bays Cornett.
Survivors include four sisters, Ella Mae Cornett, Bristol Tennessee, Lillian Rice, Bristol Virginia, Barbara Long and Betty Widener, both of Damascus; three brothers, Roy Cornett and Jimmy Cornett, both of Damascus, and Albert Cornett, Bristol Virginia; one stepson, Eddie Bays, Bristol Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

James H. Edmonds Jr.
James H. "Jim" Edmonds Jr., 41, of 3301 Weaver Pike, Bristol, Tenn., died Thursday, Aug. 20, 1998, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Honolulu, Hawaii, and had made his home in the Bristol area for the past 28 years.
He was a 1975 graduate of East High School, and a member of the All Star Track Team. In 1974, he set school records for the 100-yard dash and 880-yard relay.
He was a former employee of Flav-O-Rich, Inc., and a member of Weavers Union Church.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Bishop Edmonds; his mother, Mrs. James H. (Irene) Edmonds, Bristol Tennessee; two sisters, Mrs. David (Joni) Stanley and Mrs. Steve (Judy) Wyatt, both of Bristol Tennessee; one brother, Jerry Edmonds, Bristol Tennessee; two nieces; and six nephews.

ROWE, Va. -- Larry Reevis Harris, 43, died Thursday, Aug. 20, 1998, in a Winston-Salem, N.C., hospital.
He was a native of Honaker, had resided in Buchanan County most of his life and was of the Baptist faith.
He was a disabled electrician and was formerly employed with Jewell Smokeless Coal Company and Island Creek Coal Company.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dean Davis Harris; one daughter, Candy Harris, Honaker; two sons, Kelly Harris, Honaker, and Brandon Harris, Oakwood; two stepsons, Bradley Davis, Roanoke, and Steven Davis, Nashville; his mother, Mrs. Dora Hess Harris, Honaker; two sisters, Lois Farmer, Rowe, and Judy Farmer, Apex, N.C.; three brothers, the Rev. Russell Frank Harris and the Rev. Guy Harris, both of Honaker, and the Rev. Troy Harris, Vansant; one granddaughter; and one step-grandson.
