VanHORN
James Earnest VanHorn, 77, of Sandston, died Sunday, December 16, 2001. Mr. VanHorn was born in Millville, Fla. He was a Sgt. in Company K, 38th Infantry, during World War II, and was awarded the Victory and Good Conduct Medals. He was a member of American Legion Post 242. He was also a professional golfer and a golf pro at Glenwood Golf Course. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary W. VanHorn; his daughters, Juaine Paravati and Rose Mary Alexander and her husband, Bob; grandchildren, Robb, Jeff and Terry Alexander and Joey Paravati; two sisters, Ocyle Munn and Margaret Huston; also many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Laburnum Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave. Graveside service 2 p.m. Tuesday in Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

WILKINSON
Mr. William Bailey Wilkinson of Richmond passed on Friday, December 14, 2001. He was a native of Windsor, Va. and the son of William Samuel and Opher Bailey Wilkinson, and is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Carlton Wilkinson; and a nephew, Dr. James W. Mayo of California. Mr. Wilkinson was a graduate of The College of William and Mary and T.C. Williams Law School of the University of Richmond. He was a veteran of World War II with the U.S. Air Force and was retired as secretary of the Virginia A.B.C. Board. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 17, from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the Central Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bon Secours Hospice, 8580 Magellan Parkway, Building 4, Richmond, Va. 23227 or the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Va. 23060. Interment will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 18, in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk, Va.

Mrs. Narcissa Pritchard Williams of 2104 Lakeview Ave., entered eternal rest December 15, 2001. Cherishing her memory are her son, Thomas Warren Williams Jr.; granddaughter, Marjorie Vaughn; grandson, Robert Williams; cousins, Almeida Doggett, Beligavio Rojas (Skee), Lorna Rojas; and devoted friends and neighbors, among them, adopted specials, Walter Manning Jr., Joseph Briscoe, Ebony and Joyce Reid. Cornelius Benjaman Brown Sr. of 4310 Shillcutt Road departed this life Saturday, November 17, 2001. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts. Funeral notice later.

BUSH
Ronald C. "Ronnie" Bush Sr., 53, of Aylett, died Sunday, November 18, 2001 at his home. He was the son of the late John H. and Virginia Martin Bush. Mr. Bush was a convention specialist for Exhibits Inc. and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Chesterfield Ward. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda C. Bush and two grandsons, Sonny and Billy Bush. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald C. Jr. and Holly M. Bush of Chester; grandchildren, Stephen James Bush, Virginia Nicole Liming and Jacob Liming; fiance', Pamela Taylor of Aylett; a brother and sister-in-law, J. Hayes Jr. and Janet Bush of Chesterfield; and a nephew, Travis H. Bush of Jetersville. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2001 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, with the Bishop Marvin Starnes officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mattaponi Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Departed this life November 17, 2001, Mrs. Frances G. Carter of 123 S. Colonial Ave. She is survived by two daughters, Diane Y. Buford and Cynthia M. Waters of Eastern Shore, Va.; three sons, Walter B. Jr. of Tampa, Fla., Cornell S. Sr. and Wayne D. Carter; ten grandchildren, Michaelyn and Lauren Buford, Gregory Jr., Ashley and Garrett Waters, Lateisha Greene, Sherry, Cornell Jr., Darius and Jeremiah Carter; five sisters, Thelma Harvey, Dreama Thompson, Ruth Parker, Janice Jennings and Gwendolyn Glover; three brothers, Frederick Raymond and Michael Glover; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, among them, Margaret Jackson of Columbus, Ga. and Rosetta Ray of Baltimore, Md.; three daughters-in-law, Bernetta, Peronica and Gloria Carter; two sons-in-law, Robert Buford and Gregory Waters Sr.; two sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave. Funeral Wednesday, 1 p.m., Sharon Baptist Church, corner of 1st and Leigh Streets, where remains will lie in state one hour prior funeral time. Rev. Paul Coles (pastor) officiating. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family, friends and organizations assemble at the church 12:45 p.m. Wednesday. The family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

CHAICH
Betty (Suminski) Chaich of Richmond lost her battle with cancer at home with her husband at her side on Saturday, November 17, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John Chaich Jr.; mother, Rose Suminski; brother, David Suminski; aunt, Agnes Harrison; sisters-in-law, Dodie Suminski, Mary Anne Kopitke and Marge Hanlin; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in Ashland, Wisconsin on Saturday, November 24, 2001. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Bridget's Catholic Church. Betty graduated from Northland College in 1949 and taught secondary school for several years. She was a member of the TRI Club, Sleepy Hollow Garden Club and numerous other women's organizations. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Va. 23060.

CLARK
Randolph Rogers "Randy" Clark was born March 26, 1935 in Hartford, Conn. and died on Sunday, November 18, 2001, in Richmond, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents, George L. Clark and Eunice Rogers Clark. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nan Hinson Clark; his son, Wayne D. Clark and wife, Barbara of Austin, Texas; his son, Christopher T. Clark and wife, Yris and their children, Shanda and Katherin of Worcester, Mass.; his daughter, Melissa Denis and husband, Ricardo and their son, Rylan of Richardson, Texas. Randy graduated from Suffield Academy and Porter School of Design. He was a designer for 40 years. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor, his love of trains and fishing and mostly his love and devotion to his wife and family. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday and where services will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

CLARKE
Deaconess Mary B. Clarke of 16402 Scottwood Rd., Midlothian, Va., was quietly called home to rest on Saturday, November 17, 2001. She leaves to cherish fond memories, two sons, Earl C. and Alphonso Clarke; one daughter-in-law, Delphine B. Clarke; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henderson Townes; four sisters, four brothers, three sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, one aunt, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts. A going home service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 12 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 200 Old Hundred Rd., Midlothian, Va., Rev. R. Alexander Chavis, pastor, officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. After 11 a.m. Wednesday, remains will rest in the above named church until hour of service. Relatives and friends attending funeral services, assemble at the church Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. Please omit food.

CREIGHTON
George Bradley Creighton, age 72, passed away on November 18, 2001 after a long illness in Richmond, Va. He was born on June 14, 1929 in Burdett, N.Y., son of George Birge Creighton and Gladys Marie (Foster) Creighton. His wife, Juanita Graham Creighton; one son, Stanley George Creighton and Mary Ellen Helton Creighton of Aylett, Va., survive him. Three stepchildren, Deborah Jenkins, Thomas Graham Jenkins, Rev. Mark and Terrie Jenkins, all of Richmond, Va.; six grandchildren and one-great-grandchild. One sister, Ruth Creighton Palmer and Harold Palmer of Hector, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews also survive him. George graduated from Watkins Glen High School in Watkins Glen, N.Y. and State Technical in Utica, N.Y., with a degree in mechanical engineering. He retired after years of service from Gould's Pumps of Seneca Falls, N.Y. He was an active member and a Deacon of Second Baptist Church until his illness, and then he enjoyed the Grove Avenue television ministry. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, at Second Baptist Church, 9614 River Rd., Richmond, Va. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 12609 Patterson Ave, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Second Baptist Building Fund, 6914 River Rd., Richmond, Va 23229-7635 or Grove Avenue Television Ministry, 8701 Ridge Road, Richmond, Va. 23229.

Mrs. Ethel Harris Delaney, age 93, of Powhatan, departed this life on Saturday, November 17, 2001, in Richmond, Va. She is survived by her daughter, Bernice; sons, William and Percy; devoted granddaughters, Linda Taylor and Iris Taylor her caregiver; a brother, Robert Harris; five sisters, Minnie Clark, Ruth Witter, Alma Morris, Blanche Jones and Eunice Stout; sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and devoted friends. Her remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home, Cumberland, Va. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Powhatan, Rev. James E. Robinson, pastor, officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.

DRANOFF
Morris Jacob Dranoff, 78, of Sandston, passed away Monday, November 19, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn J.H. Dranoff; two daughters, Cheryl Brinkley and Marilyn Ashby of Charlottesville; two stepchildren, Charles W. Harris and Nell Lewis; five grandchildren, David Ashby, Molly Ashby, Shea Walters, Misty Brinkley and Lori Lewis; two great-grandchildren, Rebecca Walters and Jade Hash; three brothers, William H. Dranoff and his wife, Helen, Nathan E. Dranoff and his wife, Jeanne and Albert A. Dranoff and his wife, Laura; two sisters, Bertha Heller and her husband, Abe and Tillie Heller and her husband, Sam; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Dranoff was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from A&P Stores in 1985 and was a member of the Masonic Fraternal Lodge AF&AM No. 53. His remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 21 at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

DUNAWAY
Ethel Earline "Snooks" Dunaway, age 79, of Highland Springs, died Monday, November 19, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Ernest F. Dunaway; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy D. and Valrie B. Kidd Jr. of Highland Springs; a granddaughter, Lisa Kidd Mugford of Manikin-Sabot; two great-grandchildren, Winston and Hollis Mugford. Remains rest at the Laburnum Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 2110 East Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Church, Highland Springs. Interment Washington Memorial Park.

Willa (Faye) Eacho, 66, of Richmond, died Monday, November 19, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Eacho. She is survived by her son, Gene and his wife, Cathie Eacho of Sandston; two grandchildren, Jeremy and Sarah Eacho; one sister, Louise Lewis of Tennessee. Remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. A graveside service will be held 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Washington Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Henrico Vol. Rescue Squad.
