NORTON -- Billie Jean Wright, 58, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1998, in St. John's Hospital, Detroit.
She was a former resident of the Norton area before making her home in Warren, Mich.
Survivors include her husband, Abel Wright; a son, Ewing Wright, Centerline, Mich.; a daughter, Reina Wright, Warren; her father, Ewing "Toots" Mullins, Norton; four sisters, Sue Miner, Wise, Jackie Cooke, Norton, Peggy Wampler and Margaret Estep, both of Big Stone Gap; and three brothers, Ronald Mullins, Spartanburg, S.C., Mark Mullins and Tommy Mullins, both of Norton.
Hagy Funeral Home, Norton, is in charge.

Gladys O. Beck
COEBURN -- Gladys Osborne Beck, 86, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, in St. Mary's Hospital, Norton.
She was a member of the Coeburn First Baptist Church and the widow of James Edgar Beck Sr.
Survivors include two sons, James E. Beck Jr., Coeburn, and Robert D. Beck Sr., Richmond; a daughter, Dorothy Ann Hewitt, West Minister, Md.; two sisters, Nerva Brown, Richlands, and Okla Kern, Coeburn; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Sturgill Funeral Home, Coeburn, is in charge.

Louise R. Bouton
Martha Louise Rogers Bouton, of Bristol Tennessee, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999.
She was a lifelong resident of Bristol Tennessee and the widow of Vollie Preston Bouton. She was a member of Central Christian Church, the Loyal Berean Sunday School Class and the Lucy Roberts Circle of the church. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Border City Chapter No. 162, Order of Eastern Star and the Pea Pickers Square Dance Club.
Survivors include four daughters, Jennie Katherine Bouton Ball, Bristol Virginia, Mary Ruth Bouton Henry, Kingsport, Billie Jean Bouton Shepard, Abingdon, and Martha Ann Beverly Bouton, Gray, Tenn.; two sons, Robert William Bouton, Lynchburg, and Joe Preston Bouton, Hampton, Va.; a sister, Virginia Rogers Hawk, Cary, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
Oakley-Cook Funeral Home is in charge.

WISE -- Hadley W. Clark, 75, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, in Norton Community Hospital.

Preston L. Collins
COEBURN -- Preston Lee Collins, infant son of Lee and Angie Howard Collins, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 1999, in Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tenn.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a brother, Christopher Collins, of the home; his paternal grandparents, Preston and Frances Collins, Coeburn; his maternal grandmother, Betty Howard, Coeburn; and several aunts and uncles.

Alliyah L. Dingus
Alliyah Lashay Dingus, seven months, of Bristol Virginia, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, in Johnson City Medical Center.
Weaver Funeral Home is in charge.

Mary J. Greer
Mrs. Mary Jane Roten Greer, 96, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, in Bristol Nursing Home, Bristol, Tenn.
She had been a resident of the Denton's Valley community for many years and had resided in the Holston Valley area for the past 20 years.
She was a member of the Denton's Valley Baptist Church and the widow of George Greer.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ora Booher and Mrs. Willie Rogers, both of Bristol Tennessee, and Mrs. Virginia Abel, Abingdon; three sons, Edgar Greer, Abingdon, James C. Greer, Piney Flats, and George Dean Greer, Bristol Tennessee; a sister, Oma Atwood, Sparta, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren.
Farris Funeral Service, Abingdon, is in charge.

Iva A. Henegar
SALTVILLE -- Mrs. Iva Alice Crusenberry Henegar, 76, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, in Bristol Regional Medical Center, Mrs. Henegar was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Sue Henegar Teaters, Chilhowie; a son, Bill J. Henegar, Glade Spring; two brothers, Thomas Crusenberry and George Crusenberry, both of Saltville; three sisters, Katherine Russell, Marion, Myrtle Osborne, Saltville, and Lucy Reed, Clarksville, Tenn.; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
D.R. Henderson Funeral Home, Saltville, is in charge.

Patsy M. Hess
Patsy McClellan Hess, of Bristol Virginia, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, in Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House, Winston-Salem, N.C.
She was a native of Scott County and a longtime resident of Bristol.
She retired from Sperry Univac and was a 50-year member of the Bristol Chapter No. 28 of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Euclid Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Ray Hess; a son, Charles R. Hess Jr., Clemmons, N.C.; a sister, Ella Rigole, Bristol Tennessee; a brother, Delbert Lee McClellan, Bristol Virginia; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

Joan Jackson
CEDAR BLUFF -- Joan Jackson, 64, of the Busthead section, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, in a Tazewell hospital.
Hurst-Scott Funeral Home, Richlands, is in charge.

Georgia L. Mack
BIG STONE GAP -- Georgia Louise Mack, 68, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, in Wellmont Lonesome Pine Hospital, Big Stone Gap.
She was a native of Lee County and had lived in Big Stone Gap for 53 years. She was a member of First Christian Church, Big Stone Gap.
Survivors include her husband, Mandal Mack; three sons, Steve Mack, Dryden, Mark Mack, Gray, Tenn., and Tim Mack, Seminary; two half-brothers, Otis Ely, Dryden, and Bud Vaughn, Duffield; three half-sisters, Cordia Shufflebarger and Bertha Kelly, both of Dryden, and Bonnie Bloomer, Rockville, Md.; and four grandchildren.
Gilliam Funeral Home, Big Stone Gap, is in charge.

Brittany Robinette
BIG STONE GAP -- Brittany Suzann Robinette, 16, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at her home.
She was a sophomore at John I. Burton High School and attended the Unicoi Methodist Church.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Lynda Robinette Newsome and Mark Newsome, Big Stone Gap; two sisters, Amanda Salyers, Big Stone Gap, and Julie Robinette, Wise; two half-brothers, Drew Grindstaff and Brody Grindstaff, both of Erwin, Tenn.; her grandmothers, Mary Sue Yeary, Jonesville, Va., and Betty Grindstaff, Unicoi, Tenn.; three uncles and aunts; and several cousins.

Edna E. Showalter
RICHMOND -- Edna Elizabeth Kiely Showalter, 84, formerly of Williamsburg and Kenbridge, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, in Bon Secours Stuart Circle Hospital.
She was a native of Bristol Virginia, and the widow of Dr. Henry Bernard Showalter, Kenbridge.
She was a member of Bruton Parish Church, in Williamsburg.
Survivors include a son, Henry Bernard Showalter Jr., Richmond; a daughter, Edna Lockett Showalter Van Voorhis, Berryville; a brother, Robert Vance Kiely Jr., Bluefield, W.Va.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday in Kenbridge, Va.
Clarke Funeral Home, Kenbridge, Va., is in charge.
