SWORDS CREEK -- Mrs. Retha Mae Wyatt, 85, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, in a Lebanon hospital.
She was a native of Carterton, Va., had resided in Swords Creek her entire life, before moving to Bristol, where she had lived for the past ten years.
She was the widow of Charles C. Wyatt and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Joan) White, Lebanon, and Mrs. Charles (Loretta) Rambo, Wise; a son, Burl Wyatt, Augusta, Ga.; four sisters, Lakie Wysor, Bristol Virginia, Virginia Colvard, Bristol Tennessee, Gertrude McGlothlin, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Jean Cole, Akron, Ohio; a brother, Hoover Hughes, Swords Creek; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

CASTLEWOOD -- Virginia Cecil Blevins, 83, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, in Russell County Medical Center, Lebanon.
She was a native of Russell County, was of the Baptist faith and the widow of Willie Blevins.
Survivors include two daughters, Lora Jean Clark, Woodbine, Ga., and Kathy Shortt, Castlewood; a son, Billy Blevins, Castlewood; six sisters, Thelma Duley, Abingdon, Viledia Bush, Castlewood, Jean Wright and Hazel Marshall, both of St. Paul, Marletta Taylor and Margie Caldwell, both of Branson, Mo.; three brothers, Jimmy Bellamy and Lowell Bellamy, both of St. Paul, and Nelson Bellamy, Bristol Virginia; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Virginia M. Feathers, 93, of Bristol Tennessee, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, in The Cambridge House.
She was a native of Mountain City, Tenn., had lived in the Bristol area most of her life and had lived at The Cambridge House for the past three years.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Marthina Memorial Chapel and the widow of Fred Malcolm Feathers.
Survivors include two daughters, Lennie Brewer and Dorothy F. Shaffer, both of Bristol Tennessee; a brother, Richard Jones, Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Pearl Osborne, Beckley, W.Va.; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Beckey Edell Glover, of 1880 Ryder Church Road, Bristol, Tenn., died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.

Thelma H. Johnson
ABINGDON -- Mrs. Thelma Houston
Johnson died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999 in Johnston Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of
Johnson City, graduated from the Normal School, now East Tennessee State University, and later attended the New York School of Floral Design.
In 1991, she retired after 60 years in business in Abingdon, where she co-owned and operated Johnson's Grocery, Johnson' Hams and Johnson's Florist with her husband. The businesses became Johnson's Center and Kealey-
Johnson Wholesale Florist, where she worked with her son.
She was the widow of J. Hubert
Johnson and a member of Abingdon United Methodist Church.
Mrs.
Johnson was a charter member of the Women's Society of Christian Service, president of the American Legion Auxiliary and active in the PTA of Central School and William King High School. She was a member of the Business and Professional Womens Club, the Booklovers Club, the Blue Ridge Florists Association and an honorary life member of the Abingdon Garden Club.

CRYSTAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- Willie Mae
Brown Leab, 86, formerly of Bristol Tennessee, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, in Crystal Springs.
She was a native of Denton Valley, had lived in Oliver Springs, Tenn., before moving to Florida, where she has made her home for the past 35 years.
She was the widow of John O. Leab and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy L. Bennett, Oliver Springs, Tenn., and Earleen Maxwell, Plant City, Fla.; four sons, John D. Leab, Mulberry, Fla., Kenneth Leab, Thonotosassa, Fla., Jack Leab, Zephyrhills, Fla., and Tom Leab, Lakeland, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

CASTLEWOOD -- George C. Long, 75, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, at his home.
He was a native of Russell County, a retired miner, a member of UMWA and a member of Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lola Long; a daughter, Brenda Mowell, Bristol Tennessee; three sons, Jerry Long, Luray, Va., Earnest Long, Hansonville, Va., and David Long, Kingsport; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

William W. McCready
SALTVILLE -- Mr. William Wesley "Bill" McCready, 72, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was a member of the Plasterco United Methodist Church and retired from the Brunswick Corporation, with 34 years of service as an engineer.
He was a member of the William King Masonic Lodge No. 227 AF&AM, and a graduate of Emory & Henry College.
Mr. McCready was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Boyd McCready; a sister, Isalee Hart, Danville; and several nieces and nephews.

CLEVELAND, Va. -- Corrine Couch Puckett, 71, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1998, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Russell County and a member of the Ivy Ridge Chapel Church.

Charles R. Reece
BIG STONE GAP -- The Rev. Charles R. Reece, 58, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, in Wellmont Lonesome Pine Hospital, Big Stone Gap.
He was a lifelong resident of the area, the founder and Pastor of
Williams Cove Pentecostal Church, established in 1978, and a retired federal mine inspector. He was a member of the Virginia National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Campbell Reece; one son, Robby Reece, Big Stone Gap; two daughters, Mrs. Bob (Cindy) Mitchell, Big Stone Gap, and Charlotte Eliza(beth) Reece of the home; his father, J.C. Reece, Big Stone Gap; a sister, Mrs. Jack (Dottie) Chesnutt, Big Stone Gap; a half-sister, Shirley Poteet, Big Stone Gap; and several nieces and nephews.
