BIG ROCK, Va. -- Lois Genieve Lester Jackson, 66, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, in Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Buchanan County, a member of Kelsa Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and a former employee of Grundy Magic Mart. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Britt Jackson; six daughters, Brenda Wolford and Renae Jackson, both of Hurley, Teresa Charles, Oakwood, Wanda Kay Adkins, Bedford, Va., Vickie Hurley, Salem, Va., and Denise Prater, Big Rock; two sons, Gary Jackson and Timothy Jackson, both of Hurley; her mother, Ollie Hoderfield Lester, Niagara Falls, N.Y.; three sisters, Margaret Jackson, Hurley, Ester Crissman, Catharpin, Va., and Linda D'Antonio, New York; four brothers, Steve Lester, Florida, Phillip Lester, Canada, Eddie Lester and Rick Lester, both of Niagara Falls; 20 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

GRUNDY -- Barnes Robert Looney, 85, of the Slate Creek area, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, in Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Buchanan County, was affiliated with Vansant Baptist Church and a graduate of Honaker High School. He was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beulah Ratliff Looney; a daughter, Mrs. Bill W. (Carol Looney) Keene, Grundy; a son, Robert Kent Looney, Bristol Tennessee; a sister, Marie Looney, Grundy; two granddaughters; and two grandsons.

Myrtle A. Milton
CASTLEWOOD -- Myrtle A. Milton, 96, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, in Russell County Medical Center, Lebanon.
She was a native of Russell County and the widow of E.H. Milton.
Survivors include five daughters, Virginia Volpe, Fort Walton, Fla., Hazel Popp Bradley, Eva Million and Anna Worley, all of Castlewood, and Debbie Gibson, Kingsport; two sons, John E. Milton, Morganton, N.C., and William G. Milton, Castlewood; 29 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. -- Frank Louis Potter, 92, formerly of Big Stone Gap, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, in Casa Grande.
He was a native of Wise County and a graduate of Big Stone Gap High School.
He was a retired, long-term employee of the Westmoreland Coal Company, and a long-time member of Big Stone Gap Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Little Potter; a son, Louis L. Potter, Glendale, Ariz.; a daughter, Mrs. Bud (Fonda L.) Anderson, Casa Grande; two grandchildren, Donald L. Anderson, Fairport, N.Y., and Gregory J. Anderson, Casa Grande; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret B. Sinclair
SALTSBURG, Pa. -- Margaret B. Sinclair, 66, of 722 Indiana Ave., died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, in Latrobe Area Hospital, Latrobe, Pa.
She was a native of Bristol Tennessee, had lived in Saltsburg since 1970, and was a homemaker.
She was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea, a life member of DAV Post No. 36, Vandergrift, Pa., and the American Legion Post No. 57, of Saltsburg.
Survivors include her husband, John Sinclair; a daughter, Jessie Sinclair Anderson, Moween, Pa.; four brothers, Thomas Perkins, Virginia Beach, Va., John Perkins, Mesquite, Texas, Jimmy Perkins, Kingsport, and Charles Perkins, Bristol Tennessee; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will be held Friday in Saltsburg.

ABINGDON -- Polly I. Widener, 48, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, in Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon.
She was a native of Russell County, had lived in Washington County most of her life and attended High Point Baptist Church, Meadowview. She was the widow of Ralph Widener.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Ann Widener, Abingdon, and Virginia Erin Widener, Damascus; a son, Jeff Widener, Damascus; her mother, Martha Ison, Kingsport; three sisters, Margie Stevens, Salisbury, N.C., Sally Widener, Emory, Va., and Mary Ison, Linwood, N.C.; two brothers, Junior Ison, Kingsport, and Ernest Ison, Church Hill, Tenn.; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

Edna M. Bem, 71, of 101 Grable Road, Bristol, Va., died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Konnarock, Va., had lived in Bristol Virginia for the past 15 years and was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Konnarock. She was the widow of Charles William Bem.
Survivors include two daughters, Katherine Bem-Elkins, Bristol Virginia, and Rhonda Gollhardt, Zephyrhills, Fla.; a son, Charles William Bem Jr., Bristol Virginia; a sister, Grace P. Toms, Luverne, Minn.; three granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

LOCUST GROVE, Va. -- Mrs. Dorothy M. Alley Clark, 80, formerly of Richlands, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, in a Fredericksburg, Va., hospital.
She was a native of Yukon, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil Alley, and her second husband, Kenneth Clark.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lois DeLongis, Locust Grove; three sons, Tommy Alley, Gloucester, Va., Ersel Alley, Clayton, Del., and Danny Alley, Brooklyn, N.J.; an adopted son, Paul Morgan, Virginia Beach, Va.; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

LEBANON -- Mrs. Eula Kate Garrett, 84, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Russell County, a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church and the widow of Woodrow Garrett.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Cox and Kathy "Bird" Garrett, both of Lebanon; four sons, Kenneth L. Garrett, Harold O. Garrett, Roger A. Garrett and Gary M. Garrett, all of Lebanon; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Terri Lenore Allison Gaynair, 37, of 6625 Dorchester Road, formerly of Big Stone Gap, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, in Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, N.C.
She was a native of Welch, W.Va., a graduate of
Powell Valley High School, Big Stone Gap, and attended Randolph-Macon Womens College and Mountain Empire Community College. She was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include her husband, Tech. Sgt. Robert Gaynair, USAF; a son, Andrew Grant Gaynair; her parents, Freddie and Linda Allison, Big Stone Gap; and her grandmother, Mary Allison, Big Stone Gap.
A memorial service will be held Saturday in Summerville, S.C.
