Ella D. Randolph

CASTLEWOOD -- Ella Mae Dean Randolph, 72, died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, in Russell County Medical Center in Lebanon.
She was born in Russell County.
Surviving are her husband, Sam Randolph; two daughters, Edna Mae Jessee of Piney Flats and Gracie Alexander of Bristol Virginia; six sons, Charles Dean Jr., Frankie Lee Dean and Johnny Ray Dean, all of Castlewood, William Clarence Dean of Dante, Robert Samuel Dean of Rockford, Ill., and Lawrence Eugene Dean of St. Paul, Va.; two sisters, Gladys Phillips of St. Paul and Peggy Riley of Staunton, Va.; two brothers, Joe Dean and Bobby Dean, both of Castlewood; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in Castlewood Funeral Home. The Revs. Ted Phillips and John Branch will officiate. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Love Mausoleum, Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood.
Pallbearers will be grandson and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday in Castlewood Funeral Home.

Jane M. Riner

LEBANON -- Funeral services Jane Margaret Riner will be conducted Tuesday at 8 p.m. in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Lewis Weaver and Ernest Jessee will officiate. Burial will be in Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood. military rites will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. by Patton Crosswhite VFW Post 6975. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Miss Riner, 76, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, in Maple Grove Health Care Center.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Campbell, Charles Kiser Jr., Jim Kiser, Tom "Tuck" Bradley, Jack Kiser, Billy Joe Kiser and Henry Counts. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Kiser, Jorge Figueiras, Allen Combs and Ronnie Wyrick.
Castlewood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Minnie L. Roberts

Minnie Lee Roberts, 91, formerly of Leisure Park Towers, Bristol, Va., died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, in Bristol Nursing Home.
She was born in Rogersville, Tenn., a daughter of the late Ike and Effie Berdine Bevins. She lived most of her life in Bristol, retired from Gordon Garment Corp. and was a member of West Hills Christian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Hopkins of Falls Church, Va., and Jeanette Hall of Bristol Virginia; a son, Buddy Hayton of Gatlinburg, Tenn.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at the graveside in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Gary Knapp, minister, will officiate.
Among survivors is a special granddaughter-in-law, Lisa Hall.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Blevins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Janie Hammit Memorial, Inc., 1225 Janie Hammit Drive, Bristol, VA 24201.

Avin Rose

CLINTWOOD -- Funeral services for Avin Rose will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Lick Creek Primitive Baptist Church by Haysi Funeral Home. Elders Shirley Henry, Bob Mayhorn and Joel Turner will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Cemetery, Hillridge Route 1, Clintwood, with military graveside rites by Dickenson County VFW Post 8979 and DAV Chapter 35.
Mr. Rose, 77, died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, at his home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be sons-in-law and deacons of Lick Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
Haysi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Suda M. Rosenbalm

Funeral services for Suda Melissa Rosenbalm will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Mike Abel will officiate. Burial will be in Beidleman Church Cemetery. The Rev. Billy Rosenbalm will officiate.
Miss Rosenbalm, 81, of 409 Sinking Springs Road, Bristol, Tenn., died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, in Greystone Health Care Center.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Weaver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Wiley L. Williams Jr.

SALTVILLE -- Wiley Luther "Bobby Bulldog" Williams Jr. died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at his home.
He was a retired U.S. Army veteran of 33 years and a life member of VFW Post 433.
Surviving are his wife, Tressia Williams; two sons, Kenneth Williams of Massachusetts and Wiley L. Williams III of Mesa, Ariz.; two daughters, Karen Arnold of Saltville and Tara Simpson of Richmond; three brothers, Howard Williams of Saltville, Frank Williams of Honaker and William P. Williams of New Jersey; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in Williams Family Cemetery. The Rev. Shirley Carter will officiate. military rites will be by Saltville VFW Post 7328 "Hardy Roberts."
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday in D.R. Henderson Funeral Home.

Norma Jean Yacker

Johnson CITY -- Norma Jean Yacker, 53, of 126 Lynn Road, died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, in Johnson City Medical Center.
She was born in Elizabethton, a daughter of Clifford Hamilton of Elizabethton and Helen Startin of Greenwood, S.C. She had lived in Johnson City since 1992. She was an employee in grant accounting at East Tennessee State University and attended First Presbyterian Church in Elizabethton.
Surviving, besides her parents, are her husband, Irwin S. Yacker; five daughters, Deena Martin Lemley of Elizabethton, Tammy Quillen of Johnson City, Fawn Yacker of San Francisco, Zodie Powers of Vilas, N.C., and Lolly Winderbaum of Peekskill, N.Y.; her stepfather, Arley Hamilton of Elizabethton; two sisters, Virginia Combs of Greenwood and Rita Presnell of Johnson City; nine grandchildren; and two nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 8 p.m. in Morris-Baker South Chapel. The Rev. John Martin will officiate. Burial will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. in National Cemetery at Mountain Home, Tenn. Those attending should meet at the funeral home by 2 p.m. Friday to proceed to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Don Quillen, Jim Lemley, Ray Powers, Tom Warren, Charles Presnell and Lynn Myers.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday in Morris-Baker Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Washington County Cancer Society, 69 Wilson Ave., Johnson City, TN 37604, or to Safe Passage Domestic Violence Shelter, P.O. Box 162, Johnson City, TN 37605.

Alexander C. Anderson

ABINGDON -- Alexander C. Anderson, 82, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, in Johnston Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Wise County and lived in Washington, D.C., before moving to Abingdon 20 years ago. He was a member of State Street United Methodist Church in Bristol, a self-employed electrical contractor and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Leota Blanche Fraley Anderson; a brother, Douglas Amderson of Bristol; two sisters, Elizabeth Cooper of Bristol Virginia and Margaret MacLemore of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Knollkreg Memorial Park Mausoleum in Abingdon. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Farris Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Valerie A. Baker

COEBURN -- Funeral services for Valerie Anne Baker will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Kermit Evans and Virgil Musick will officiate. Burial will be in Carter Cemetery in Fort Blackmore, Va.
Miss Baker, 20, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, in Norton Community Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Castlewood Funeral Home.

Eva R. Boyd

RED ASH, Va. -- Funeral services for Eva Randy Boyd will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Macedonia Regular Primitive Baptist Church on Red Root Ridge by Singleton Funeral Service of Cedar Bluff. Elders Robert Whitt and James E. Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Simmons Cemetery on Red Root Ridge near Raven, Va.
Mrs. Boyd, 93, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, in Richlands.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
Singleton Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Margaret E. Bradley

NORTON -- Margaret Elizabeth Bradley, 78, died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, in Norton Community Hospital.
She was of the Freewill Baptist faith, a homemaker and the widow of Porter F. Bradley.
Surviving are a son, Carlos Bradley of Coeburn; four daughters, Loretta Penley of Coeburn, Frances Collins and Sue Collins, both of Wise, and Patricia Cox of Pound; a brother, Johnny Gilley of Dayton, Ohio; four sisters, Edith Keller of Lakeland, Fla., Pauline Holbrook of Haymond, Ky., Fayetta Gilley and Helen Kinser, both of Dayton; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise. The Rev. Roger Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be in Jessee Cemetery in Wise.
Mrs. Bradley was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Preston Bradley.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Sturgill Funeral Home.
