Shirley L. Marshall
Shirley Leonard Marshall, 70, of 1511 Tremont Ave., Bristol, Tenn., died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, in Wellmont Hospice House.
She was born in Bristol. She was a retiree of Bristol Regional Medical Center and a member of Westhighlands Church.
Surviving are her husband, William O. Marshall; three sons, Randy Leonard of Gray, Tenn., Drew Marshall of Denver and Stuart Marshall of Freemont, Calif.; a daughter, Allison Fealtman of Sunnyvale, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Wayne (Pat) Felty of Bristol Tennessee; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 7 p.m. in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor J. Samuel Rasnake will officiate. Graveside services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Knollkreg Cemetery.
Among survivors are daughters-in-law Valorie Leonard, Marty Marshall and Andre Marshall; son-in-law, Doug Fealtman; and grandchildren, Willie Leonard, Steven Carpenter, Andrew Carpenter, Rebecca Leonard, Anna Marshall, Susan Marshall, Will Marshall, Nolan Marshall and Dylan Fealtman.
Pallbearers will be Herbert Riley, Jim Street, Herman Treadway, Charles Olinger, Johnny Barnett, Bobby Wall, Sammy Rasnake and Jack Coffey. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryce Moss, Donnie Cross, Walt
Williams and friends and neighbors.
The family will receive friends following the funeral service Saturday in the funeral home and other times at 124 Pershing Ave., Bristol, Tenn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Westhighlands Church or Wellmont Hospice House.
Nettie R. McClain
Entombment for Nettie Rouse McClain will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Mountain View Mausoleum Chapel.
Mrs. McClain, 75, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at her home.
She was a lifelong resident of Bristol Tennessee, a member of Walnut Hill Presbyterian Church and a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Glen McClain Sr.; a son, Glen W. "Billy" McClain of Bristol Tennessee; a daughter, Shirley M. Leek of Bristol Tennessee; three sisters, Dorothy Whitaker and Evelyn Camper, both of Bristol Tennessee, Shirley Hazard of Columbia, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Ed Crook and Dr. Kyle Barr officiated.
Among survivors are sisters-in-law Gerelda Rouse of Morristown, Tenn., and Virginia Rouse of Bristol Tennessee; daughter-in-law Niki McClain; grandchildren Glen W. McClain III, Matthew Leek, Tracey
Brown and Jason Leek; and great-grandchildren, Corey Taylor and Courtney Leek.
Mrs. McClain was faithful to her church, was a loving wife and her favorite hobby was quilting, where she made special quilts for her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friends.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Glen McClain III, Matthew Leek, Jason Leek and Barry Brown; a nephew, Frank Fraley; and a friend, Jeff Doyle.

Graveside services for Gladys
Jones Morton will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Glenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Morton, 85, of Bristol Tennessee died Monday, Feb. 2l, 2000, in NHC.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Arnold, Phil Parris, Jim Smith, Bob Alvey, Dr. Phil Longus, Harry Whisnant and Brandon Whisnant.

M. Louise Musick
M. Louise Musick, 85, of 412 Merriwood Drive, Bristol, Tenn., died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at her home.
She was born in North Wilkesboro, N.C., a daughter of the late Lewis and Willie Johnston Franklin. She had lived in Bristol since she was a young girl, was a graduate of Tennessee High School and the widow of S. Jack Musick. She was a member of Fellowship Class of State Street United Methodist Church, where she had worshiped for almost 69 years.
Surviving are two sons, L. Wayne Musick of Bristol Tennessee and Kerry A. Musick of
Johnson City; a brother, Donald Franklin of
Johnson City; four grandchildren, Alan Eugene Musick, Eric Wayne Musick, Tommye Jacquelynn "T.J." Musick and Jean Marie Musick, all of
Johnson City; great-granddaughter, Angelique Eliza Musick; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at the graveside in Glenwood Cemetery by Oakley-Cook Funeral Home. The Revs. Fred Dearing and Jane Nelson will officiate.
Mrs. Musick was also preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
Among survivirs are daughter-in-law Mary Ellen Musick; sister-in-law Anne Franklin; granddaughter-in-law Justine M. Musick; and brothers-in-law Wilson Suggs and William "Bill" Zaros.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Manuel Nunley
Manuel Nunley, 81, of Southside Avenue, Bristol, Tenn., died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at his home.
He had lived in Bristol for about 50 years and was retired from Magnavox in
Johnson City. He attended Fellowship Chapel and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he was a prisoner of war.
Surviving are two brothers, James M. Nunley and William M. Nunley, both of Abingdon; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Lester MacKinnon and Scott Price will officiate. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery with military honors by VFW Patton-Crosswhite Post 6975.
Among survivors is a special friend, Lois Goode.
Pallbearers include nephews. Honorary pallbearers include Edward Nunley, Bert Martin, Kenneth Taylor, Jerry Cornett and Fred Nunley.

Teddy Joe Reeves
Johnson CITY -- Teddy J. Reeves, 51, of 103 Kentland Drive, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, in
Johnson City Medical Center.
He was born in Washington County, a son of Elese "Peggy" Reeves of
Johnson City and the late John J. Reeves.
He retired from the State of Tennessee Correctional Facility and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving, besides his mother, are his wife, Kathleen Hamby-Reeves; a daughter, Stacy Fowler of
Johnson City; an adopted son, Mark Reeves of
Johnson City; a sister, Peggy Stevens-Cavin of
Johnson City; a brother, Jim Reeves of Asheville, N.C.; eight grandchildren; a niece; a nephew; and two great-nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 8 p.m. in Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesborough, Tenn. Pastor Richard Ratliff will officiate. Burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Monte Vista Burial Park.
Pallbearers will be Darren Cavin, Brian Hamby, Kyle Price, Roger Crumley, Larry Crawford and Danny Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ralph Mills, Dr. Leslie Panus, Dr. Wigens, Dr. Scott Watson, Dr. Clarence Spannuth and Dr. Stanley Vermillion.

Louis E. Sowards
BIG STONE GAP -- Louis Elmo "Moe" Sowards, 68, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, in the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
He was born in East Stone Gap, a son of the late Louis and Mickey Sowards. He was employed by Big Stone Gap Asphalt for 30 years before working for and retiring from the Town of Wise after 13 years of service. He was a member of Big Stone Gap Masonic Lodge 208 AF&AM since 1978, where he was a past master. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from the 1032nd Transportation Unit, U.S. National Guard after 32 years of service. He was of the Protestant faith.
Surviving are his wife, Claudia Sowards; two daughters, Daphne Blanton and Page Kelly, both of Big Stone Gap; a brother, Jessee Vernon Sowards of Norton; three sisters, Margaret Ballengee of San Antonio, Texas, Sudie White of Benbrook, Texas, and Jane Couch of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in Holding Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Larry DeVault will officiate. military rites will follow in Riverview Cemetery in East Stone Gap. A Masonic service will be conducted Saturday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home by Big Stone Gap Masonic Lodge 208 AF&AM.
Mr. Sowards was also preceded in death by three brothers, Barney Sowards, Ralph Sowards and Fred Sowards.
Among survivors are sons-in-law Brian Blanton and William Kelly, both of Big Stone Gap.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday in Holding Funeral Home.
Grace Lynn Terry Thomas
Funeral services for Grace Lynn Terry Thomas will be conducted Friday at noon in full Gospel Fellowship Church by Weaver Funeral Home. The Rev. Phil Kestner will officiate. Burial will be in Shipley Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomas, of Shelby Street Apartments, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, in Wellmont Hospice House.
She was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area and formerly employed with Carolyn Manufacturing. She was a member of Full Gospel Fellowship and served as assistant manager at Fort Shelby Apartments, where she was also on the Resident Council.
Surviving are three daughters, Teresa McDavid, Paula Hurd and Angela Bowman, all of Bristol Tennessee; a son, Paul A. Thomas of Bristol Tennessee; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Among survivors are grandchildren Jessee Thomas, Amber Thomas, Heather Johnson, Ashley Bowman, Andrea Bowman, Alyssa Bowman and Zackrey Thomas; and special friends Nellie (Kelly) Rogers, Barbara Gentry, Marie Thomas and Judy Bruce.
