CLEVELAND, Va. -- Funeral services for Ethel Hubble Wallace will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in Russell County Funeral Home Chapel in Lebanon. The Rev. James Massie will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Wallace, 89, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, in Russell County Medical Center.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Mike Wagoner, Jason Flora, David Wallace and Daniel Wallace and other family members, Stan Wagoner, Dave McGill, Ty Canipe and Dan Wallace.

Lee Roy Whisman
MARION -- Funeral services for Lee Roy Whisman will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Seaver-
Brown Chapel.
The Rev. Mike Sage will officiate.
Mr. Whisman, 78, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, in Orangeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Orangeville, Pa.
He was a son of the late Marion and Virginia Whisman.
He was a former truck driver and managed a Texaco station for Hidlay Oil Co., retiring in 1983.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Stout Tennesen Whisman of Berwick, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Patricia Polk of Berwick; a stepson, Russell Tennesen of Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister, Catherine Peake of Maryland; a brother, James Whisman of Marion; eight granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Among survivors is sister-in-law Pauline Whisman of Marion.

Services for Nickolas V. Barb Sr. will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in Mountain View Mausoleum Chapel.
Mr. Barb, 90, of 6150 Yukon Drive, Bristol, Va., died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.

RURAL RETREAT, Va. -- Brenda R. Bear, 52, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, in Smyth County Community Hospital.
She was a daughter of Daisy Riggins of Pulaski and George Riggins of Newbern.
She was an employee of Smyth County Community Hospital.
Surviving, besides her parents, are her husband, Billy Bear; two daughters, Melissa Musser of Rural Retreat and Stephanie McCleese of Austin, Texas; two stepsons, Scott Bear and B.J. Bear, both of Rural Retreat; two sisters, Joyce
Brown of Dublin and Linda Cox of Pulaski; and a grandson.

Brown Chapel. The Revs. Eddie Beck and Neville Mozingo will officiate. Burial will be in Roseweood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat.
Among survivors are son-in-law Michael Musser of Rural Retreat; stepdaughter-in-law Anita Bear of Rural Retreat; and grandson Garrett Musser.

CLINTWOOD -- Funeral services for Clyde Bise will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Peuther Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

The body will be taken to the church an hour prior to services.
Burial will be in Bise Cemetery, Route 1, Clintwood.
Mr. Bise, 75, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, in Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center.
Pallbearers will be nephews and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Ayers Shortt, Arthur Mays, Ralph Stanley, Clarence Carty, Bob Cussins, Marshall Hughes, Bobby Stanley and Jerry Robinson.

Jones Cowden, 68, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was of the Baptist faith, an executive secretary and the widow of Charles L. Cowden.
Surviving are a daughter, Violet Y. Turner of Seattle; a son, Charles E. Cowden of Newport News; a sister, Annette Sluss of Coeburn; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in Hagy Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Cowden was also preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Marie Cowden; and a son, Myron Lee Cowden.

Mrs. Dixon donated her body to Quillen Dishner College of Medicine.
