Elizabeth D. Bozell

Funeral services for Elizabeth Thelma Quillen Dickson Bozell will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Chester Lamb and Jennings Dotson will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Bozell, 63, of 1133 Georgia Ave., Bristol, Tenn., died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Reece and Katherine Fultz Quillen, a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are her husband, James Robert Bozell; two daughters, Billie Whittaker and Kathy Limburg, both of Bristol Tennessee; two sons, Charles S. Dickson and Thomas Reece Dickson, both of Bristol Tennessee; two stepdaughters, Barbara Cushaw of Greeneville, Tenn., and Mary Akins of Church Hill, Tenn.; a stepson, Cecil William Dickson Jr. of Greeneville; two sisters, Opal Lee Lynch of Lafayette, Ind., and Margaret Pierce of Monroe, Mich.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Rosenbalm, Mark Duty, Tim Allen, Mike Cook, Keith Stratton, Scott Smith and Tony Akins.
Weaver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Edith G. Byington

Funeral services for Edith Gentry Byington will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Blevins Funeral Home Chapel in Bristol Virginia. The Revs. Charles Jones and Bill Pealer will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Byington, 79, of Bristol Tennessee, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, in Wellmont Hospice House.
Blevins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lessie T. Cantrell

MOUTH CARD, Ky. -- Funeral services for Lessie Taylor Cantrell will be conducted Tuesday at noon in Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home in Grundy, Va. The Revs. Doug Hess, Earl Mills and Nando Mullins Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery at the mouth of Little Card Creek, Mouth Card.
Mrs. Cantrell, 78, of the Little Card section, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at her home.
Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jimmie R. Cunningham

Jimmie R. Cunningham, 55, of Bristol Tennessee died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was a son of Bradford Cunningham of Charleston, W.Va., and the late Madeline Smith Cumningham. He was a member of Bethel Church in Elizabethton.
Surviving, besides his father, are his wife, Linda Thacker Cunningham; three sons, Jimmie R. Cunningham of Stonewood, W.Va., Christopher Cunningham of Lenoir City, N.C., and Randy Majerus of Knoxville; two daughters, Cynthia Cunningham of Dundalk, Md., and Beth Crusenberry of Lenoir City; three sisters, Pam Dukate of Scott Depot, W.Va., and Kay West and Jeanie Carte, both of Charleston; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. in Hagy Funeral Home Chapel in Norton. Dr. Willie Malone and pastor Charles Pearce will officiate. Burial will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Cunningham was also preceded in death by a sister, Paula Sue Davis.
Among survivors are several aunts and uncles.
Hagy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ollie H. Dye

CEDAR BLUFF -- Funeral services for Ollie Ellen Hubbard Dye will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands. The Rev. Toby Hubbard will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon.
Mrs. Dye, 90, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, in a Tazewell hospital.
Pallbearers will be Gary Breedlove, Cecil Dye, Rafty Dye, Eulis Bandy, Eric Hubbard and Lonnie Hubbard.
Hurst-Scott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Margarette H. Epling

BREAKS, Va. -- Margarette Hay Epling, 74, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Dickenson County, a daughter of the late Kent and Tennessee Dales Hay. He was the widow of Claude Epling.
She was a member of Sandlick Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Patsy McBride of Bluff City and Georgia Epling of Abingdon; three sons, Ken Epling of Abingdon, Jesse Epling of Clintwood and Bill Epling of Knoxville; two sisters, Elsie Childress of Abingdon and Lexie Stiltner of Popular Creek, Va.; two brothers, Ellis Bud Hay and Frank Hay, both of Warren, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Haysi Funeral Home Chapel. Elders Garnell Gilbert and Price Viers will officiate. Burial will be in Epling Cemetery at Breaks.
Friends may call at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, where a service will be held at 6 p.m.
Haysi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Noah G. Gilbert

BREAKS, Va. -- Noah Glen Gilbert, 66, of Cow Fork section, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at his home.
He was born in Tennessee, a son of the late Dailey Earl Gilbert and Louise East Gilbert. He was a member of Miller Hill Baptist Church in Lenoir, N.C., and a disabled coal miner most recently employed with Harman Mining Co. He was a member of UMWA Local Union 7025.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Elsie Rice Gilbert; a daughter, Mrs. Rudy (Rebecca) Hayes of Lenoir; three sons, Harvey Dale Gilbert of Breaks and Gregory Glen Gilbert and Ricky Dean Gilbert, both of Elkorn City, Ky.; four sisters, Edna Southwell of Wilmington, Del., and Mary Francis Smith, Sandra Williams and Doris Nelson, all of Lenoir; three brothers, Fred A. Gilbert of Atlanta and Jimmy Gilbert and Roger Gilbert, both of Lenoir; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel in Grundy. Evangelists Mike Rife and Michael Trent will officiate. Burial will be in Deel Cemetery on Bull Mountain in Harman, Va.
Mr. Gilbert was also preceded in death by a son, Scotty Lee Gilbert; a sister, Linda Glazebrook; and a brother, Hobert Clayton Gilbert.
Among survivors are daughter-in-law Diane Gilbert of Elkorn City; grandchildren David Gerald Hamby, Steven Wayne Hamby, Gregory Daniel Gilbert, Mathew Colton Gilbert, Ara Alina Gilbert and Sarai Anne Hayes; and great-granddaughter Cheyenne Hamby.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, where services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Martha Jane Hart

Martha Jane Hart, 98, of Bristol Tennessee died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, in Bristol Nursing Home.
She was a lifelong resident of Bristol and a daughter of the late David Jenkins and Martha Carmack Hart. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the graveside in Paperville Cemetery. Dr. William S. Goforth will officiate.
Surviving are four cousins.
Friends may call at Blevins Funeral Home.

Arthur B. Hess

ABINGDON -- Funeral services for Arthur B. Hess will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Honaker Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Billy Hawkins, Clyde Lambert and Benny Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Austin Cemetery in Venia.
Mr. Hess, 83, of 19604 Saturn Drive and formerly of Venia, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, in Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon.
Pallbearers will be Dallas James, Clinton Hess, Roger Combs, Delmer Hess, Dayton Hughes, Clifford Hess, Gerald Hess, Theodore McGlothlin and David Sweet. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell James, Sam Hess, Lowell Hess, Ricky Hess, Kermit Keen and Keith McGlothlin.
Friends may call any time before the funeral hour Wednesday in Honaker Funeral Home.

Mary Ellen Hill

ELMHURST, Ill. -- Funeral services for Mary Hill will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Haysi Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Danny Sluss and Finas Hill will officiate. Burial will be in Hill-Bartley Cemetery, Route 1, Haysi.
Mrs. Hill, 60, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, in Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. .
Pallbearers will be friends.

William L. Houser

Graveside services for William Lee "Bill" Houser will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Mountain View Cemetery. The Rev. Samuel Saunders will officiate. military honors will be by VFW Patton Crosswhite Post 6975.
Mr. Houser, 71, of 105 Kingsolver St., Bristol, Va., died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, in James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Weaver Funeral Home.
