Funeral services for Samuel Anthony Minervino will be conducted Thursday at 8 p.m. in the Bluff City Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home. Dr. Andrew Spence will officiate. Graveside services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in New Bethel Cemetery in Piney Flats with military honors by VFW Post 6975. Those attending the graveside services should meet at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m.
Mr. Minervino, 81, formerly of Medina, N.Y., died Monday, Jan. 10, 1999, in Ivy Hall Nursing Home.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home in Bluff City.
Charlie Joseph Mobley
BLOUNTVILLE -- Graveside services for Charlie Joseph "Joe" Mobley will be conducted Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in Glenwood Cemetery in Bristol.
Mr. Mobley, 83, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.

Charles D. Morrell
Graveside funeral services for Charles Douglas Morrell will be conducted Thursday at 4 p.m. in Shipley Cemetery by Weaver Funeral Home. The Revs. Niles Kitzmiller and Gary Rowlette will officiate.
Mr. Morrell, 48, of Bristol Tennessee, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Booher, Kenny Morrell, Danny Morrell, Randy Morrell, Don Morrell, Chris Trivette, Bill Pierce, Mike Morrell and Mike Welch.

Elma Mullins
ST. PAUL -- Elma Mullins, 78, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, in Norton Community Hospital.
She was born in Wise County, a daughter of the late Emory and Sally Alva McReynolds Wright. She was a member of
Wells Chapel.
Surviving are her husband, the Rev. Carlos Mullins: two daughters, Cathy Maine of Coeburn and Linda Horne of Nickelsville; a son, Carlos Mullins Jr. of St. Paul; five sisters, Sally Long of Coeburn, Mae Huffman of Lebanon, Shirley Mulharan of Alexandria, Irene Robinette of Mosheim, Tenn., and Ruth Mullins of St. Paul; four brothers, Earl Wright and Raymond Wright, both of Coeburn and Bert Wright and Roger Wright, both of Mosheim; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Howard Reynolds and Larken Boothe will officiate.
Among survivors are grandchildren Jamey Castle, Kevin Horne, Jeremy Maine, Sonny Mullins and Heather Mullins; and great-grandchildren Brook Castle, Kayla Mays and Amber Hill.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Maine, Les Horne, Sonny Mullins, Jamey Castle, Kevin Horne, Randy Hamilton and Jeremy Maine.

Nina B. Newman
COEBURN -- Nina Marie Buchanan Newman, 80, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, in Norton Community Hospital.
She was born in Coeburn, a daughter of the late Hobart Robert Lee and Laura Catherine Bond Buchanan, and lived in Caretta, W.Va., since 1945. She was the widow of Alvin Ray Newman. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Berwind, W.Va. Chapter, where she served twice as worthy matron and held various other offices. She was a retired clerk for Trailways Bus Co. and McDowell Water Co.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Royce (Carolyn) Newman-Baker of Coeburn and Laura Leigh Newman of Walland, Tenn.; a son, Col. Donald Ray Newman of Gambrills, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Bear (Mildred) Lawson of Coeburn; a brother, H. Dan Buchanan of Abingdon; two grandsons; two granddaughters; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va., by Estes Funeral Home. The Rev. Leon Lawson will officiate.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Thursday in Douglas Funeral Home in War, W.Va.

Dustin R. Peck
HONAKER -- Dustin Robert Peck, 4, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, in
Johnson City Medical Center.
He was born in Abingdon, a son of Estil Edward "Ed" Peck Jr. and Teresa Ann Reynolds Peck of Honaker. He lived in the Honaker area all of his life and attended McGlothlin's Chapel Church.
Surviving, besides his parents, are a sister, Nora Mae Peck of the home; a half-sister, Jacqueline Hess of the home; paternal grandparents Estil Edward Peck Sr. and Eula Mae Peck of Honaker; maternal grandmother Sarah Euva Reynolds of Swords Creek; paternal great-grandmothers Myrtle Marshall and Betsy Jane Musick, both of Honaker; and maternal great-grandmother Nora Elmer Peck of Richmond.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Honaker Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Jerry Rasnake, Dennis Street and Ray James Sims will officiate. Burial will be in Reynolds Cemetery on Kent's Ridge.
Pallbearers will be great-uncles.

Margie K. Stidham
POUND -- Margie Geraline Kiser Stidham, 62, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at her home.
She was a daughter of Ester Lucille Kiser of Pound and the late Verlie Eugene Kiser, and was a member of Mount Zion Old Regular Baptist Church.
Surviving, besides her mother, are her husband, Clyde Stidham; three daughters, Elaine Roberts, Vickie Boggs and Kim Stidham, all of Pound; a son, Clyde Stidham Jr. of Pound; four sisters, Jackie Branham and Christine Countiss, both of Pound, Burma Ball of Council and Betty Motes of Clewiston, Fla.; two brothers, Garland Kiser of Pound and Larry Kiser of Wise; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in Sadie Baker Memorial Chapel of Baker Funeral Home in Pound. Elder Donnie West will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Pound.
Mrs. Stidham was also preceded in death by a sister, Ester Lucille Kiser.
Among survivors are sons-in-law James Roberts and Gary Boggs, both of Pound; and daughter-in-law Betty Stidham of Pound.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home, where a service will be held at 7 p.m.

Mr. Stump, 62, of 401 Seminole Road, Bristol, Va., died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Charles David Thomas Jr. will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. in Cold Spring Presbyterian Church. Dr. Andrew Spence will officiate. Burial will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Thomas, 80, of 321 Cold Spring Church Road, Bristol, Tenn., died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, in NHC Healthcare.
He was born in Sullivan County. He was a retired sales representative with Wholesale Electric, a former real estate agent with
Brown Agency and a lifelong member of Cold Spring Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon and elder. He also participated in many phases of church work. He was a member of Bristol Civitan Club and a 50-year member of King Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Ruth Lowe Thomas; four daughters, Julia T. Gray Buchanan and Kathy Thomas, both of Bristol Tennessee, Ann Thomas Lewis of Fredricksburg and Charlotte LeCroy of Marietta, Ga.; a brother, James C. Thomas of Bristol Tennessee; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Among survivors are grandchildren Charles Lee Gray, Betsy Lewis Moreno, Marcia Lewis Percival and T.J. LeCroy.
Pallbearers will be Dale Thomas, Joe Thomas III, Scott Thomas, Danny King, Kenneth King, Brock Fleenor, James Graham and Charles "Chuck" King. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Fred Greear, elders and deacons of Cold Spring Presbyterian Church, S.D. Hale, Lewis King, Claude Brown, Jim Eller, Jimmy Rock, David Leonard and Bud Davies.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday in the church.
