Zadie Cox

CLEVELAND, Va. -- Funeral services for Zadie Cox will be conducted Sunday at 1 p.m. in Russell County Funeral Home Chapel.
The Revs. Darrell Fletcher and James Massie will officiate.
Burial will be in Russell Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Cox, 98, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, in Russell County Medical Center.
Pallbearers will be Jack Blankenship, Robert Frank Barrett, Orville Davis, Matthew Chafin, Carter Chafin and John Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Davis, George Thomas, Odell Kiser, Garland Kiser, Roger Kiser, Winston Kiser, Frosty Crabtree and Roger Meade.
Russell County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ruby S. Dillman

MARION -- Ruby Lee Smith Dillman, 94, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000.
She was born in Smyth County, near the settlement of Nebo in Rich Valley.
She was the widow of Gardner Holmes Dillman.
Surviving are a son, Rodney H. Dillman of Troutville; a daughter, Gertrude C. Fleshman of Roanoke; a sister, Hazel L. Calhoun of Oak Hill, W.Va.; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in Rader Funeral Home at Daleville.
Graveside services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Marion.
Among survivors is a special friend, Carol S. Wickersham of Troutville.
Mrs. Dillman worked beside her husband on the family farm near Marion, and her great joy was her family and her work.
In 1985, the couple sold the family farm and moved to Troutville to be near their children and grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in Rader Funeral Home in Daleville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in memory to the Botetourt County Public School Education Foundation Inc., 143 Poor Farm Road, Fincastle, VA 20490 or to a charity of choice.
Rader Funeral Home and Seaver- Brown Funeral Service in Marion are in charge of arrangements.

Margaret I. Edmondson

GLADE SPRING -- Funeral services for Margaret Irene Edmondson will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in Farris Funeral Chapel in Abingdon. Burial will be in Mountain View Baptist Cemetery.
Miss Edmondson, 72, of the Friendship community died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at her home.
Farris Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

James R. Folkner

BLOUNTVILLE -- Graveside services for James R. "Jim" Folkner will be conducted Sunday at 10 a.m. in Bethel Community Cemetery with military rites by VFW Patton-Crosswhite Post 6975.
Mr. Folkner, 54, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, in Johnson City Medical Center.
Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends, to include Raymond Scism, Alan Long, James Neeley, Mike Houser, Bob Conner, Russ Brogden, Glenn Almaroad, Steve Almaroad, Roy Almaroad, David Jones and Rick Ball.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Bethel United Methodist Church, Shipley Ferry Road, Blountville, TN 37617.
Akard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Margaret H. Graybeal

MOUNT AIRY, N.C. -- Margaret Virginia Hickman Graybeal, 60, of 559 Crosswinds Court, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, in Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
She was born in Sullivan County, a daughter of the late George Nathan and Myrtle Slagle Hickman.
She was the widow of Charles Hugh Graybeal Sr., a retired biscuit maker from Hardees on Willow Street and of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Surviving are five sons, David Robert Frederick Graybeal and Thomas Edward Graybeal, both of the home, Charles Hugh Graybeal Jr. of Mount Airy, and Johnny Allen Graybeal Sr. and James Emory Geaybeal, both of Bristol Tennessee; six sisters, Shelby Ketron and Georgia Weatherly, both of Bristol Virginia, Hazel Dishner and Lillian Leonard, both of Bristol Tennessee, Ruth Seats of Bluff City and Colene Feathers of Johnson City; three brothers, Hal Hickman, Earl Hickman and Hobert Hickman, all of Bristol Tennessee; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in St. Clair Bottom Primitive Baptist Church in Chilhowie, Va.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Graybeal was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Jane Graybeal; a grandson, Johnny Allen Graybeal Jr.; and a granddaughter, Christy Cromer.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday in Akard Funeral Home.

W.E. Hammons

SHADY VALLEY, Tenn. -- Funeral services for W.E. "Ed" Hammons will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Shady Valley Baptist Church by Weaver Funeral Home. Ministers Eddie Porter and Luke Martin will officiate.
Burial will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the National Cemetery at Mountain Home.
Mr. Hammons, 75, of 2194 Winchester Road, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, in James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Mountain Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Shady Valley Rescue Squad, Shady Valley, TN 37688.
Weaver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mark D. Honaker

ROSEDALE, Va. -- Mark Duane Honaker, 34, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, in Russell County Medical Center in Lebanon.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Honaker Funeral Home.

Charles G. Humphrey

ABINGDON -- Funeral services for Charles G. Humphrey will be conducted Monday at 3 p.m. in Green Spring Presbyterian Church by Farris Funeral Service. The Rev. Thomas Sproule will officiate.
Burial will be in Old Glade Presbyterian Cemetery with military rites by Patton-Crosswhite VFW Post 6975.
Mr. Humphrey, 83, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, in Johnston Memorial Hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of Washington County, a son of the late Garland and Marguerite Snapp Humphrey.
He was a member of Green Spring Presbyterian Church and was retired from Raytheon.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of Patton-Crosswhite VFW Post 6975 and the American Legion.
Surviving are three sisters, Hope Humphrey, Irene H. Wallace and Frances H. Webb, all of Abingdon; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Blair Keller Jr., Preston Brown, Lonnie Wallace and Paul H. Phillips.
The family will receive friends at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the church.
Farris Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Linnie Lester

JOLO, W.Va. -- Linnie Lester, 81, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home.

Bonnie L. Luttrell

KINGSPORT -- Bonnie L. Luttrell, 57, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, in Indian Path Medical Center.
She was born in Statesville, N.C., a daughter of the late Paul and Edith Stewart Hollar.
She was a medical technologist at Indian Path Medical Center and a member of Concordia Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband of 33 years, Bob Luttrell; a son, Stephen Luttrell of Asheville, N.C.; a sister, Claudia Burger of Statesville; two brothers, Lewis Cline of Statesville and Paul Hollar of California.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 8 p.m. in East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel.
The Rev. Paul F. Becker will officiate.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in East Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday in East Lawn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Kingsport Diabetes Association or Concordia Lutheran Church.

Elsie McCracken

Graveside services for Elsie McCracken will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
The Rev. Neil Long will officiate.
Elsie McCracken, 80, of 20018 Pairgin Road, Bristol, Va., died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, in Greystone Health Care Center.

Harmon C. Peters Sr.

Graveside services for Harmon C. Peters Sr. will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Peters, 92, of Bristol Tennessee died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, in Bristol Regional Center.
Pallbearers will be Paul Peters, Tommy Peters, Roy Tester, Dale Thomas, Glen Johnson and Jim Houser.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Christopher Kennedy, Dr. John Byers, Joe Ashley, Earl Rogers, Bill Hunnigan, Ed Booher, Charles Peters Jr., Charlie Fleming, Bernie Webb, J.C. Akard and Kenneth Carrier.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Cold Spring Presbyterian Church, 280 Cold Spring Church Road, Bristol, Tenn.
