Vivian Ann Davis, 52, of 1410 East Cedar St., Bristol, Tenn., died Friday, Feb. 3, 2000, at her home.
She was born in Wytheville and had lived in Bristol for the past four years. She was employed with King Pharmaceuticals and was a member of Lee Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Eddie J. Davis of New Jersey; two daughters, Angelia D. Buford and Candice L. Davis, both of Greenville, S.C.; a brother, Charles Whitten of New York City; three sisters, Hattie Bailey of Wytheville, Edna Penn of Bristol Tennessee and Deborah Whitten
Williams of Blacksburg, Va.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Robinson Mortuary.

ABINGDON -- Funeral services for Earl Washington Denton will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in Farris Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Bob McCormick and Jerry Eggers will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with military honors by Patton-Crosswhite VFW 6975.
Earl Washington Denton, 76, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at his home.
Pallbearers will be Claude Worrell, Velmer Huff, Pete Faith, Clint Asbury, Clayton Lockhart, Joe Tolliver, Emmitt Farmer and Warren Charles. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.

PINEY FLATS -- Blanche E. Dixon, 72, of 221 Dougherty Private Drive died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.

WEST SALEM, Ohio -- Funeral services for Henry Dotson will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff. The Rev. Max Linkous will officiate. Burial will be in Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery in Claypool Hill, Va.
Mr. Dotson, 85, formerly of Tazewell County, Va., died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, in Westview Manor Nursing Home.
Pallbearers will be friends.

Robert M. Evans Sr.
SALTVILLE -- Funeral services for Robert Montgomery Evans Sr. will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in D.R. Henderson Funeral Home. The Rev. Kyle French will officiate. Burial will be in Elizabeth Cemetery with military rites by Saltville VFW Post 7328.
Mr. Evans, 81, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, in Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion. He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are a son, Robert Evans Jr. of Macon, Ga.; four daughters, Margaret Hayden Shea of Chilhowie, Sheila Evans Fullen of Saltville, Teresa Greer of Glade Spring and Betty E. Call of Marion; two brothers, Will Evans and Thomas Evans Jr., both of Saltville; three sisters, Maxine
Smith of Chilhowie, Lois Kestner of Saltville and Alice Ford of Akron, Ohio; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

LEBANON -- Jess P. Ferguson, 66, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, in Russell County Medical Center.
He was a son of the late Thomas and Carrie Gibson Ferguson. He was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Jessee Ferguson; four sisters, Anna Ruth Rutherford, Virginia Morrell and Roxie McGinnis, all of Bristol Tennessee, and Mable Girard of Vista, Calif.; five brothers, Thomas Ferguson of Denver, Colo.,
Carter Ferguson of Lebanon, Kyle Ferguson of Chilhowie, Paul Ferguson of Gate City and Oscar Price of Colorado Springs, Colo.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 7 p.m. in Russell County Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Darrell Fletcher and Darrell Harmon will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Jessee Family Cemetery in
Green Valley.

Mr. Ferguson, 53, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, in Wellmont Hospice in Bristol Tennessee.

Edna "Sue" V. Houser, 57, of Bristol Virginia died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, in
Johnson City Medical Center.

RURAL HALL, N.C. -- Gladys Lee Kitts, 87, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, in Scenic View Nursing Home.
She was born in Wythe County, Va., a daughter of the late Robert W. and Mary M. Stevens Cline. He was a member of The Bible Way Baptist Church and the widow of William Cassell Kitts.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy K. England of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Cynthia Wohlford and Margaret Robinson, both of Wytheville; two brothers, Brinkley Cline of Rural Retreat and James Cline of Hurt, Va.; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in Barnett Funeral Chapel in Wytheville, Va. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat, Va.
Among survivors are granddaughter, Sherry Ann Kimel of Tobaccoville; and great-grandson, Samuel Wayne Kimel of Tobaccoville.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday in Barnett Funeral Home.
Robert E. Koehler
BLUFF CITY -- Robert E. Koehler, 78, of 373 Sycamore Drive died at his home.
He was born in Atco, N.J., and moved here from Gibbsboro, N.J., 21 years ago. He was a retired self-employed salesman. He was the widower of Cornelia Koehler and a Calvinistic Presbyterian.
Surviving are a son, Robert E. Koehler Jr. of New Jersey; a granddaughter, Karen Crockett of Kingsport; a grandson, Robert K. Koehler of Florida; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in Glenwood Mausoleum Chapel by Weaver Funeral Home of Bristol, Tenn. Pastor Larry E. Ball will officiate.
There will be no visitation in Weaver Funeral Home.
Joe L. Mason Jr.
Joe L. Mason Jr., 72, of 424 Marywood Drive, Bristol, Tenn., died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at his home.
He was born in Woodbury, Tenn., and had lived in the Bristol area for 43 years. He retired from Raytheon and was a former chemistry teacher at Tennessee High School. He received his master's degree in chemistry at the University of Tennessee and was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and the Bristol Model Builders. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps and was a member of Central Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Freda Daniel Mason; a daughter, Lee Welsford of Newtown Square, Pa.; a son, Dan Mason of Seattle; a sister, Doris McGregory of Hillsboro, Texas; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in Glenwood Mausoleum Chapel by Weaver Funeral Home. Dr. Ross Dampier will officiate.
Among survivors are grandchildren, Abby Welsford, Kathryn Welsford and Beckley Mason.
Mr. Mason was an aircraft enthusiast and an avid model plane builder.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Jones, Dick Hamilton, Hadley Pobst, Joy Taylor, "Puck" Kiser and Harold Riley.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday in Weaver Funeral Home.
