Travis Allen Morgan
CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- Sgt. Travis Allen Morgan, 25, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, in Camp Pendleton.
He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., a son of Allen Morgan and the late Susan Lynn Gaudy. He had lived most of his life in Buffalo. He was an active duty U.S. Marine.
Surviving, besides his father, are a brother, Raymond Morgan of Damascus; his stepfather, Peter Gaudy; and his maternal grandfather, Paul Langer of Buffalo.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with full military honors.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Farris Funeral Service.
W. Lester Necessary
BLOUNTVILLE -- Graveside services for W. Lester Necessary will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in East Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Necessary, 85, of 32 Highway 75, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, in Indian Path Medical Center.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ted Williams, Gray Taylor, Hank Green, Larry Smith, Ken Segrest, John Hardin, Jack Ketron, and friends and neighbors.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Charity Baptist Church, Oak Street, Blountville.

James D. Singleton
Funeral services for James Donald "Pete" Singleton will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Farris Funeral Chapel. Elders Leonard Barton, Darrell Davis and Danny
Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with military rites by Patton-Crosswhite VFW Post 6975.
Mr. Singleton, 72, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, in Johnston Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Cleveland, Va., a son of the late Floyd and Mada Catherine Singleton. He had lived in Dickenson County before moving to Bristol in 1977. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and former co-owner of Singleton Auto Parts. He was a member of Clintwood Masonic Lodge 66, an honorary member of the Allied Masonic Degree and of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Nina M. Singleton; a son, Larry R. Singleton of Abingdon; three daughters, Linda G. Whitt of Roanoke, and Sheila D. Mullins and Susan L. Henley, both of Bristol Virginia; two brothers, Tom Singleton of Indian Springs, Tenn., and Dewey Singleton of Abingdon; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Singleton was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debra C. Yarbrough; and two sisters, Teola Mann and Jackie Osborne.
Among survivors are grandchildren, Jack T. Olin and Wayne Yarbrough, both of Raonoke, Stephanie N. Leonard and Sarah O. "No" Russ, both of Bristol, Holly N. "Who Who" Fouch and Joseph E. Mullins II, both of
Johnson City, James D. Whitt and Jonathan D. Whitt, both of Roanoke, and Amber Singleton of North Carolina; two step-grandchildren, Kayla and Melissa Mullins of Abingdon; two sons-in-law; a daughter-in-law; and a grandson-in-law.
Pallbearers will be Steve Osborne, John Henley, Matt Fouch, Joe Mullins, Charles Whitt and Taylor Hughes. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Dotson, Joe Tate, Bill Lawson, Cecil Kelly, James Hagy and Gary Singleton.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be held at 8 p.m.

Julenna Jo Weber
CASTLEWOOD -- Memorial services for Julenna Jo Weber will be conducted Friday at 4 p.m. in Honaker Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Harlan Perkins will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Lexington, Okla.
Miss Weber, 38, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, in a Lebanon hospital.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday in Honaker Funeral Home.
Lee Roy Arnold
MOUNT CARMEL, Tenn. -- Lee Roy Arnold, 76, of 302 Kaywood, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, in Church Hill Health Care Center.
He was born in Hawkins County, a son of the late George Walter and Hattie Dickson Arnold. He spent most of his life in Hawkins County. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a corporal with the Company C BNSR. He was a member of First Baptist of Church Hill.
Surviving are his wife, Willie V. Seals Arnold; a daughter, Sharleen Hess of Bristol Tennessee; three sons, Gary Arnold, Rickie Arnold and Steve Arnold, all of Kingsport; 12 grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; and several nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 8 p.m. in
Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Church Hill. The Revs. Gary Gerhardt and Joe Byrd will officiate. Graveside services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in McPheeters Bend Cemetery with military rites by Church Hill VFW Post 9754.
Mr. Arnold was also preceded in death by a daughter, Arbuta Trussell; a grandson, Jeffery Trussell; three brothers, Will Arnold, Homer Arnold and Fred Arnold; and three sisters, Alpha A. Albright, Gertrude Arnold and Lola Ward.
Among survivors are Danny Whited of Blountville, who was like a son.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home or any time at the residence.

Roy S. Ball
CLIFFIELD, Va. -- Roy Sherman "Chuck" Ball, 69, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, in a Richlands hospital.
He was born in Tazewell County, a son of the late Roy and Carrie Lee Hagy Ball, both Tazewell County natives. He retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation and was a horseman of Tazewell County.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Nannie Ball; a daughter, Carol Course of Roanoke; two sons, Roy Darrell Ball of the home and Jerry Ball of Cliffield; two sisters, Myrtle Barnette of Belfast and Rosa Lester of Wardell; three grandsons; and three granddaughters.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff. The Rev. Buddy Herald will officiate. Burial will be in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill.
Mr. Ball was also preceded in death by a brother, Graham Ball; and three sisters, Lucille Lowe, Lillian Ball and Josephine Ball.
Pallbearers will be Pete Ball, Randall McCracken, Bill Marshall, Bill Waddell, R.J. Lester and Joe Carver.

T.L. Bledsoe
KINGSPORT -- Graveside services for T.L. "T" Bledsoe will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery by Oak Hill Funeral Home. Isaac "I.W." McNamara will officiate.
Mr. Bledsoe, 72, of 221 Glen Ave., died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, in Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center.
He was a son of the late Siller Payne Bledsoe and D.B. Bledsoe. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 3141 and had been retired for 10 years from Kingsport Foundry, where he worked for 42 years.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Edlis Faye Bledsoe; three daughters, Mrs. Jim (Carolyn) Gardner of Bristol Virginia, Darlene Bledsoe of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Ronnie (Teresa) Hall of Kingsport; two sisters, Rosa Vannoy of Kingsport and Laurie Barrett of York, Pa.; a brother, Grady Bledsoe of Okeechobee, Fla; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bledsoe was also preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha Bledsoe and Geneva Clifton; six brothers, Elmer Bledsoe, Bascom Bledsoe, Oscar Bledsoe, Grant Bledsoe, Millard Bledsoe and Patrick Bledsoe; and grandson-in-law Bryan Browning.
Among survivors are daughter Darlene's fiance, John Wilson of Ponte Vedra Beach; grandchildren Misty Mullins Browning, Tracy Mullins Templeton, Michael Templeton and Amber Mullins, all of Kingsport, Lisa Lykins, Lee Lykins and Kim Brewer, all of Bristol Virginia; and great-grandchildren Kayla Brewer, Bryanna Browning, Quaid Browning and Brandon Templeton.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday in Oak Hill Funeral Home.
