DOHERTY
Marion Loyce Wright Doherty, 100, of Richmond, died February 27, 2002. She is survived by a son, Frank J. Doherty Jr. of Greensboro, N.C.; and two daughters, Maxine D. Winn of Midlothian, Va. and Margaret D. Kelly of Manchester, Conn.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Edward's Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Dr., Richmond, Va. 23235. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

EDMONDS
Margaret Grizzard Edmonds, age 84, of Richmond and formerly of Brunswick County, died February 28, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Atwell Edmonds Sr.; and a son, Louis Atwell Edmonds Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Ann Billups of Midlothian and Mary G. Capps of Raleigh, N.C.; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday 3:30 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Lawrenceville.

FOX
Frances Beasley Fox of Richmond died February 26, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Paul H. Fox; daughter, Susan F. Fox-Hill and son-in-law, Col. Richard M. Hill; and a niece, Linda Beasley Pinney. Mrs. Fox was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Richmond, Tuckahoe and Windsor Farms Garden Clubs. She served on the Women's Committee of the Richmond Symphony, and also was a member of the Richmond Woman's Club. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2002 at First Presbyterian Church, 4602 Cary Street Rd., Richmond, Va. 23226. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Music Department, First Presbyterian Church, 4602 Cary Street Rd., Richmond, Va. 23226, or Brain Tumor Research, Division of Neurosurgery, MCV, P.O. GIBSON
Nell H. Woodlief Gibson of Richmond died on March 1, 2002. She was the widow of Stephen P. Gibson and was also predeceased by her parents, three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include two brothers, Aubrey Woodlief Jr. and Bervin Woodlief, both of Wake Forest, N.C.; four sisters, Joyce Tilley of Rocky Mount, N.C., Lavoy Adams and Clina Wheeler, both of Durham, N.C. and Nadine Bradley of Winston-Salem, N.C. She is also survived by her special adopted family, Steve, Patti and Jackie Miller. Mrs. Gibson was a native of Wake Forest, N.C. and a long-time resident of Richmond. She was a former member of Leigh Street Baptist Church and a long-time active member of Elkhardt Baptist Church. She retired from the Travelers Insurance Co. after 35 years of service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday. Interment 12:30 p.m. Monday at Dale Memorial Park. Flowers are accepted, or memorial donations may be made to Elkhardt Baptist Church or Leigh Street Baptist Church.

HALL
Edward Lee Hall, age 61, of King and Queen, Va., died March 1, 2002 at his home. His mother, Adelaide L. Hall preceded him in death. Mr. Hall was a King and Queen County Supervisor for the Shanghai District and an Art teacher at the Coventry Elementary School in York County. He was a Deacon of New Hope Memorial Baptist Church and a member of the King and Queen Ruritans, Dragon Run Steering Committee. Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Sandra H. Hall; a daughter and her husband, Susan H. and Keith W. Haden; two sons, Charles L. and his wife, Melissa A. Hall and Timothy E. Hall. Grandchildren are Lacey E. Haden, Russell L., Chelsea L. and Joseph T. Hall. He is also survived by his father, Russell L. Hall; and stepmother, Mildred N. Hall; two stepsisters, Martha Ray Hare and Nancy S. Johnson; a stepbrother, Bill South; two aunts, Lillian Montgomery and Lula Miller. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, at the New Hope Memorial Baptist Church, Shackelfords, Va., with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Vincent Funeral Home, West Point. HALSTEAD
Anna Carroll Halstead, 85, of Richmond, formerly of Charleston, W.Va., passed away March 1, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman R. Halstead Sr.; and two sons, Kelly E. Halstead and Franklin (Sonny) Workman. She is survived by one son, Herman R. Halstead Jr.; three daughters, Mary Jane Phillipson, Pearl H. Quick and Betty H. Hunley; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers. Remains rest at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., where a funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2002. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2002 in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, W.Va.

HARRISON
Earlene Johnson Harrison of Richmond died Thursday, February 28, 2002 at the Masonic Home of Virginia. She was the widow of John A. Harrison, Winton H. Newkirk and John Bernard Spivey. She is survived by her sister, Beverly A. Johnson of Richmond; her sister-in-law, Mrs. Dallas H. Johnson of Fluvanna; four nieces, Dalene M. Landes of Midlothian, Sherran A. Haley of Ft. Worth, Texas, Sylvia M. Johnson and Virginia Lee Staton of Palmyra; seven great-nieces and nephews and two great-great-nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harrison was a retiree of Reynolds Metals Company. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she served as a Deacon, and was a member and past president of the Scottish Rite Woman's Club. Remains rest at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., where the family will receive friends 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and where services will be held at 12 noon Monday, March 4. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Masonic Home of Virginia, 4101 Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, Va. 23223 or the Scottish Rite Childhood Language Center at Richmond, Inc., 4202 Hermitage Rd., Richmond, Va. 23227.

HARTLINE
Nina Lucille Hartline, age 83, a former resident of Richmond, Va., died February 23, 2002 in Warm Springs, Ga. Her body was donated to Emory University School of Medicine. No funeral service is planned. Miss Hartline was born November 15, 1918 in DeKalb Co., Ala., a daughter of Pat and Ruth Hartline. She was retired as an occupational therapist with the U.S. Civil Service, having worked in the V.A. Hospitals of Baltimore and Richmond. She was a member of the Episcopal church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, G.W. Hartline of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Forrest Hartline of Pasadena, Calif. She is survived by a brother, W.G. "Griff" Hartline of Columbus, Ga. Smith-Steele-Meadows Funeral Home, Manchester, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.

HAWK
Elmer E. Hawk, 91, of Maidens, Va., widower of Lucille Donovan Hawk, joined his wife in heaven February 28, 2002. He was a retired electrician of duPont and a member of Mechanicsville Baptist Church. He is survived by three sisters, Edith Whiteside of Richmond, Mary Pinney of Goochland and Jean Harris and husband, Bobby of Maidens, Va.; three brothers, Edward (Ed) Hawk of Maidens, Robert Gay Hawk of Arizona and Earl Hawk of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Remains rest at the Laburnum Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 2110 East Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and where services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2002. HEBERLEIN
Maxine Mae Stenerson Heberlein, 82, of Richmond, Va. and formerly of Broadway, died February 28, 2002 at the University Park Nursing Home in Richmond. She was born September 12, 1919 in Wisconsin, and was a daughter of the late Silas and Mary Smith Stenerson. She was a co-owner, buyer and businesswoman for Tuttle and Spice in Mt. Jackson, and a legal secretary. She was a member of the Sunset Drive United Methodist Church in Broadway, and a member of the Sunset Drive United Methodist Women's group, the Dorcus Circle. She was also a member of the Vonta Club - a professional women's club in New York. On December 23, 1939 she married Edward Everett Heberlein, who died December 24, 1996. Surviving are one daughter, Clair M. Hinckley, Ph.D. of Richmond, Va.; one son, John Heberlein of North Carolina; four grandchildren. The Rev. Jeff Butcher will conduct a funeral service 11 a.m. Monday at the Grandle Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway. Burial will be in the Linville Creek Cemetery in Broadway. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Grandle Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 310, Harrisonburg, Va. 22803.

HENDERSON
Roye Henderson departed this life on March 1, 2002. The staff of the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home is serving her family.

HOLLOWAY
Robert H. Holloway, 77, of Richmond, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Annie C. Holloway; his daughter, Linda Gifford and her husband, James; two grandsons, Eddie Gifford and his wife, Colleen and Joey Gifford and his wife, Holly; one brother, Charles L. Holloway; and a host of devoted family and friends. He enjoyed his work as a plumber with J.W. Bastin and was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church of Goochland. His remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Ingram Jr. of Quinton; two grandchildren, Walt Ingram III and Michael Wayne Ingram; two great-grandchildren, Joshua Thomas Ingram and Austin Wayne Ingram; two nieces, Barbara Jean West and Faye Garrett; a nephew, Wallace Deagle. JANNER
Elias Aaron Janner, infant son of Aaron R. and Marchel Janner, Walkersville, Md., died at birth February 24, 2002 in Baltimore, Md. Also surviving are brothers, Roy and Jacob; sister, Sarah; and his grandparents, Martin and M. Patricia Janner of Richmond. Services and interment in Frederick Md. on March 5.

JARMAN
Hazel Baughan Jarman, 82, of Crozet, died Friday, March 1, 2002 at Martha Jefferson Hospital. Born July 5, 1919 in Ashland, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Pearl Tiller Baughan. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, William and Irving Baughan; two sisters, Pearl B. Stansbury and Dorothy B. Brannan. She was a member of Crozet Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, W. Massey Jarman of Crozet; two sons, Walter M. Jarman Jr. of Greensboro, N.C. and George B. Jarman of Grant, Fla.; a daughter, Ann J. Frank of Crozet; three brothers, Charles B. Baughan Jr., Linwood Baughan and James T. Baughan; a sister, Page B. Atkins; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2002 at Crozet Baptist Church, with Dr. Roy Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Gate Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Bryce S. Masincup, 75, of Colonial Heights, died Friday, March 1, 2002 at her residence. A native of Green County, North Carolina she was the daughter of the late Jesse Hardy and Bela Johnson Sutton. She was a retired Customer Service Representative for Bank of America. Her husband Fred A. Masincup preceded her in death in 1989. She is survived by a daughter, Susan L. Masincup of Chester; a son, Gregory Elliott Masincup of Lake Gaston, North Carolina; two stepgrandchildren, Candy Fusco and Michael Heaton; and four great-stepgrandchildren, Taylor Heaton, Haley Fusco, Aron Heaton and Samantha Heaton. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 4, 2002 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights with the Rev. Marshall Bonds officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
