Ruby Pavy Wiggins, 94, of Richmond, passed away, Saturday, November 28, 1998. Mrs. Wiggins, a member of First Baptist Church, was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett I. Wiggins; and her beloved sister, Bessie P. Satterwhite. She is survived by her niece, Frances S. Graham; and nephew, George W. Satterwhite; eleven great-nieces and nephews. Remains rest at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave. where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 30 in Riverview Cemetery.

AbouHana
Fouad (Fred) AbouHana, 57, of Richmond, died June 14, 1997 after a 17 year courageous battle with heart disease. survived by his wife, Josephine F. AbouHana; a daughter, Rhonda B. AbouHana of Baltimore, Md.; a brother, Ameen AbiHana; a sister, Amal AbiHana. Family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., where services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn. or the American Diabetes. Assn.

ADKINS
Marvin Adkins, 48, of Charles City, died June 14, 1997. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Adkins; a daughter, Christina and a son, Ryan Adkins; a sister, Louella and her husband, Dalhart Adkins; a brother, Dean Adkins; devoted friends, Alvin and Vance Jones; and foster sisters, Milly Hargis and Brenda Montez. His remains rest at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday in Samaria Baptist Church, Charles City. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Cora T. Doswell Allen, of Mechanicsville, Va. departed this life June 13, 1997, at her residence. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Catherine Dabney; one son, Harry Doswell; son-in-law, Horace Dabney; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers; one sister; a host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Henry W. Dabney Funeral Home, Washington Highway (U.S. 1 North), Ashland. Funeral service Monday 1 p.m. at Greater Nazarene Baptist Church, Mechanicsville. Rev. Richard A. (Rich) Ashburn, 49, of Richmond, died June 4, 1997. He is survived by his children, Christine, Alyssa, Shannon, Arron, and Bev- Ann; his parents, Dorothy and Arnold Ashburn; two brothers, DC and Rusty; a sister, Judy; one grandson, Austin. Mr. Ashburn was a member of the I.B.E.W. Friends may call at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., Monday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m., and where services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Mildred Mae S. Astin, of Richmond, widow of Ira Astin, died June 14, 1997. survived by a son, Ira Thomas Astin; daughter, Nan A. Murray; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; son-in- law, Thad; four grandchildren, Susan and Beth Ann Astin, and Neil and Kent Murray. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., where services will be held 12:30 p.m. Monday. Interment Woodland Cemetery, Ashland, Va. Harvey Mark Aytes, of 2285 New Market Road, died June 14, 1997. Remains rest at the Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Funeral notice later.

BEACH
Mrs. Jessie G. Gunter Beach, age 91, entered into eternal rest on June 13, 1997. She is the widow of Charles Herbert Beach. She was the daughter of James Monroe Gunter and Ella Watson Ragland of Rockbridge County, Va.; Mrs. Beach was retired from Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary A. Eades of Chesterfield, County; three granddaughters, Mary E. McCune and husband James of Meadowview, Va.; Linda E. Hensley, of Chesterfield County, Sharon E. Carson and husband Garland of Fisherville, Va. She has five great-grandchildren, Holly L. Massie of Round Hill, Va., Christopher E. Hensley, of Chesterfield, Va., Angela D. and Jessica L. White of Meadowview, Va.; Cody Allen Carson of Fisherville, Va.; one great- great-granddaughter, Emily B. Massey of Round Hill Va.; one surviving sister, Gracie Monroe Wray of Pelham, N.C. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Road, where the family will receive friends Sunday 7 to 9 p.m. and where funeral service will be held 12:30 p.m. Mon day. Interment Forest Lawn.

BOWLES
Edwin Wade Bowles, 62, of Colonial Heights, died Friday, June 13, 1997 at Medical College of Virginia, Richmond. Mr. Bowles, a native of Franklin Co., was the son of the late Lewis F. and Nannie Oglesby Law Bowles, a retired 3M employee, and the widower of Bonnie Bowles. Mr. Bowles was also a Charter member of the Colonial Heights Quarterback Club, the Woodfin Hunt Club, and an active member of the Brotherhood at Woodlawn Baptist Church. Mr. Bowles is survived by his sons, Ray and Roger Bowles, both of Colonial Heights, and Mark Bowles of Suffolk, Va.; stepmother, Ruby Bowles of Franklin Co., Va.; stepbrother, Gary Hairslip of Franklin Co., Va.; half-brother, Lewis M. Bowles of Lynchburg, Va.; half-sister, Betty Gay Clingenpeel of Salem, Va.; 12 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 1997, in the chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, officiated by Rev. Roland Powell with the assistance of John Parker and Steve Ingram. A procession will leave the funeral home immediately after the service for Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Franklin Co., Va. for a 5 p.m. service at the church. Interment will follow the church service at Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 16, 1997 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

CARTER
Warner Carter Jr., of Richmond, died June 11, 1997. Graveside services will be held Monday 11 a.m. at Woodland Cemetery. Rev. Wallace J. Cooke officiating. Arrangements by Scott's Funeral Home.

COLEMAN
Departed this life, June 10, 1997, Wallace I. (Cricket) Coleman of 1611 4th Ave. He is survived by three daughters, Veleria Coleman, Gwedolyn Ross, and Hannah Johnson; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Calvin and Augustus Coleman; three sisters, Mary Tolliver, Juanita Burnette, and Loretta Battle; one uncle; two sisters- in-law; three brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave. Funeral services will be conducted Monday 1 p.m. from Triumphant Baptist Church, Lamb Ave. and Poe St., Dr. Arthur M. Jones, Pastor, Rev. Delores Seay officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. The remains will rest in church one hour prior to funeral service. Mr. Coleman was a retired employee of Connie's Shoe Store.

COX
George A. Cox, 85, died Friday, June 13, 1997 at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg. He was the son of the late George B. and Mae Parsons-Cox. A lifelong Sussex County resident, Mr. Cox was a member of Waverly Congregational Christian Church, a farmer, and avid woodworker. Mr. Cox is survived by his wife, Virginia Lewis Cox; sons, Dwayne and Keith Cox of Waverly; daughters, Joyce Cox Harwell of Waverly, Selma Cox Crabtree of Petersburg, and Bernardine Cox Koslow of Richmond; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, Sunday, June 15, 1997 at 4 p.m. Dr. David Brown and Rev. Charles Chappell officiating. Burial in Spring Hill Christian Church Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Waverly Rescue Squad or the Spring Hill Cemetery Fund, c/o Waverly Congregational Christian Church. The family will receive friends at the residence.

CRAWFORD
Margaret Billups Crawford of Richmond died June 14, 1997. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Crawford Jr. She is survived by her two sons, Robert E. Crawford and William B. Crawford; one sister, Katherine G. Goodman; three grandchildren, Daniel, Seth, and Susan. She was a member of First Baptist Church, DAR, Tuckahoe Woman's Club, Antique Collector's Gill, and a former member of Collector's Circle. Mrs. Crawford's husband, William Crawford, was a partner of Arthur Young, currently Ernst and Young LLP. Funeral arrangements by Bliley's Funeral Home are incomplete.

ENGLAND
Cheryl Kines England of Midlothian died Friday, June 13, 1997. She is survived by her husband, Tommy W. England; her daughter, Lauren M. England; her son, Mark C. England; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis H. Kines of Callao, Va. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., where the family will receive friends Sunday evening, 7 to 9. Funeral services will be held Monday 11 a.m. at Bon Air Baptist Church. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Ovarian Cancer Research, 4240 Park Place, Glen Allen VA 23060.

EUBANK
Bernice Fawthrop Eubank, 66, a longtime resident of Tulsa, Okla., died Monday, June 10, 1997, at Saint Johns Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Asbury Methodist Church with the Reverend Bill Mason officiating. Burial services will be Tuesday, June 17, at Ontario Christian Church in Keysville, Va., 2 p.m., at the graveside. Born January 30, 1931, in Lawrence, Mass., she was the daughter of Granville and Irene Fawthrop. She married William M. Eubank on February 23, 1952. Known as "Bunny" to her friends, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia in 1952. Bunny taught school in Virginia, Maryland, as well as Horace Mann Jr. High School in Tulsa. Bunny was very involved with Rainbow Girls, a Masonic organization for girls ages 11-20. She was Mother Advisor of W. Mark Sexson Assembly in Tulsa from 1970 until 1989, and was a State Executive for Rainbow Girls from 1979 until her death. Known throughout the Inter national Order of Rainbow for Girls as "Mama U", she had an immeasurable positive impact on the lives of thousand of young women in this organization. Her drive, enthusiasm, and genuine caring will be missed. She is survived by her husband, William; two daughters and son-in-law, Irene and Tony Smith of Tulsa, Elizabeth and Mike Bucher of Houston; son and daughter-in-law, Monty and Jackie Eubank of Houston; a brother, Earl Fawthorp of Tulsa; five grandchildren, Theresa Smith, Rachel Smith, Shaun Smith, and Benjamin Smith, all of Tulsa, and Marissa Eubank of Houston; one great- grandchild, Mara Smith of Tulsa. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Beck of Tulsa, Joe Blair of Merrimac, Jim Blue of Tulsa, Dean Field of Tulsa, Bill Meyberg of Tulsa, George Miller of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Jim Miller of Tulsa, and Brian Pierson of Guthrie. In lieu of flowers, contributions made to the "Bunny Eubank Rainbow Memorial Scholarship Fund" would be appreciated. Contributions should be sent c/o Brian Pierson, Supreme Deputy, Oklahoma, for the International Order of Rainbow for Girls, 109 East Oklahoma, P.O. Box 1459, Guthrie, Oklahoma 73044. Family will receive friends Monday, June 16, 1997, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Browning Funeral Home, Keysville.

FAZIO
Sally Marie Fazio, 57, of Richmond, died Wednesday, June 11, 1997. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Moseley; a son, Jeff Fazio; a grandson, Dominick Fazio; her mother, Mary K. Schroeder; a brother, John (Jack) Schroeder; a devoted friend, Tom Brown; and her loving pets. She was an employee of the State of Virginia for 22 years. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Animal Adoption Rescue Foundation; or to the Reward Fund which will be established at a later date.

FRANCIS
Mary Malenda Francis, 83, of Richmond, died Saturday, June 14, 1997, at home. She is survived by her husband, Edward Francis; two sons, Dennis Allen Francis and Edward Lewis Francis; daughter, Mary F. Brubaker; and five grandchildren. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Road, where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday; and where services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

GARRETT
Wilber E. Garrett Jr., 53, died unexpectedly on June 14, 1997. He is survived by his wife, Jean Blackburn Garrett; a son, Michael David Garrett of Midlothian; a daughter, Elizabeth Paige Garrett of Del Ray Beach, Fla.; his mother, Marceline L. Garrett; a sister, Della Conti; and four nieces and nephews. Mr. Garrett was a 1962 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and obtained an accounting degree from the Richmond Professional Institute (VCU) in 1966. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Garrett joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a special agent in 1971, and retired in 1996 after a 25-year career. He then joined the Virginia Department of State Police. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., where the family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday; 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday; and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.

GOWEN
Joyce W. Gowen, 68, widow of Paul C. Gowen, of Richmond died Friday, June 13, 1997. She is survived by three daughters, Gayle Powell, Linda and her husband, Louis Davis and Donna and her husband, Ben Thom as; four grandchildren, Tommy Powell Jr., Paul Powell, Danny Davis and Misty Thomas. Her remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday and where services will be conducted 11 a.m., Monday, June 16. Interment Washington Memorial Park.

GREER
Anne L. Greer, 86, died June 12, 1997 after a long illness. She was the widow of Deward D. Greer and is survived by her daughter, Kathleen A. Baker and a son, James D. Greer; six grandchildren; five great-grand children and sister, Stella I. Epps. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A Rosary will be said 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be held 1 p.m. Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 4491 Springfield Rd, Glen Allen. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

GRUBBS
Jessie Hennessy Grubbs, 51, of Glen Allen, died Thursday, June 12, 1997. She is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Grubbs; a daughter, Angela Grubbs Branch of Daytona Beach, Fla.; two sons, Brian C. and Michael T. Grubbs, both of Glen Allen; a grandson, Ian James Branch; three sisters, Effie Decatur of Fredericksburg, Mary Craven of Mechanicsville and Margaret Hennessy of Richmond; two brothers, William Hennessy of Partlow, Va. and James Hennessy of Richmond. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Bonnie Brae Church of Christ. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
