Woodfork Humphries Allen, 87, of Ruther Glen, died Thursday, April 1, 2004 in Bowling Green Health Care Center. Born in Spotsylvania, she was the widow of Roscoe Beasley and Carlyle Allen. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dolores and Ed McCann of Richmond; two brothers, Granville Humphries of Bumpass and Woodrow Humphries of Texas; two nieces and one nephew.
A funeral service will be held Monday, April 5 at 11:00 AM in Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with Dr. Fred Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill cemetery, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday 6:00 - 8:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to County Line Baptist Church, 3461 Ladysmith Road, Ruther Glen, Virginia 22546 or Mary Washington Hospice, 2300 Fall Hill Avenue, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401.

Judy Gouldman Arms, 59, of Port Royal died Monday, March 29, 2004 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Mrs. Arms was a member of Memorial Baptist Church; a member of the Order of Eastern Star #29 of Fredericksburg; a past member of the Caroline Garden Club; a member of the Country Living Club of Port Royal; and she and her mother had operated the Country Store of Port Royal. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Arms and her parents, Edith and Edward Gouldman.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Marie Arms of Elkwood, Virginia; a son, Douglas Linwood Arms of Port Royal; two sisters, Phyllis Gouldman Carpenter of Port Royal and Joan Gouldman Campbell of Pasadena, Maryland; a brother, James Edward Gouldman, Jr; an aunt, Margaret Crawford; numerous nieces and nephews; and her devoted caretaker, Linda Martin.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green with Rev. Dwight Storke officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn cemetery, Bowling Green.
The family will receive friends 7-8:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

William A. Bruce, 81, of Bowling Green, died Sunday, March 28, 2004 in Mary Washington Hospital. Born in an area of Caroline County, that is now a part of Ft. A.P. Hill, he had retired from FMC and General Crushed Stone. He was a Navy veteran, a member of Bowling Green United Methodist Church and was the widow of Iretta Bruce.
Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Brisson of Woodford; two grandchildren, Billy Burkins and Brandy Brisson and a great grandson, Aaron Burkins.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 31 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with Rev. Terry Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Lakewood cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday 7:00 - 8:30 PM.

Roy D. Day, Sr., 49, of King George, died March 24, 2004 at his home. Born in Richmond, he was a bricklayer for Day Masonry of King George.
Survivors include his companion, Nancy Day of King George; a sister, Joyce Atkins of Richmond; two brothers, Cecil Day and Edward N. Day, Sr., both of Ruther Glen and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his children, Roy, Jr. and Stacy Day.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 11:00 AM in Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with Rev. Steve Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday 7:00 -8:30 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o of Marjorie M. Cramer, 9345 Canvasback Court, Port Royal, Virginia 22535.

Matthew D. Day, 27, of Ruther Glen, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at his home. Born in Richmond, he was a bricklayer for Day Masonry in King George.
Survivors include his mother, Nancy L. Day of King George; his father and step mother, Edward Day, Sr. and Joe Ann Madison of Ruther Glen; three sisters, Lillie Tingen of Ladysmith, Laura Day of Bowling Green and Angela Fields of Port Royal and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 11:00 AM in Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with Rev. Steve Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday at the funeral home from 7:00-8:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. P.O. Box 1385 Fredericksburg, Virginia 22402.

Robert James Cawthorn, 47, of Savannah, Georgia, formerly of Caroline County, departed this worldly life to be with our Heavenly Father on March 22, 2004. He was preceded in death by his father, Jackie C. Cawthorn.
He is survived by his three loving children, a daughter and her husband, Angela Cawthorn and Brooks Perez, their children, Brooke Danae and William Brent; a son, Harley David and his daughter, Elizabeth Lacie, all of Savannah, Georgia; his mother, Harriet W. Wilson; a brother and his wife, Jack and Lori Cawthorn and their children, Trista and Joshua; a brother, Steve and his daughter, Stormie, all of King William; a sister, Deborah Cawthorn and her finace, Jeffery C. Marano of Mechanicsville and her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Taryn Barlow of Ruther Glen; a sister and her husband, Laura and Norman Jacobs and their daughters, Danielle and Chelsea all of Mechanicsville; a brother and his wife, Chris and Terri Cawthorn and their children, Travis and Casie all of Richmond and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Beulah Baptist Church at Aylett with Pastor Edward Shepard officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beulah Baptist Church.

William Lee Jennings, 72, of Brookline, Massachusetts, died Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at his home. Born in Virginia, he was a member of Fredericksburg Baptist Church and a Korean War Navy veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, Carole M. Lane of Hyannis, MA; a son, William Christopher Jennings of Arlington, MA; a brother, Franklin Dee Jennings of Fredericksburg; four grandchildren, Nichole Baguley, Rachel Newman and Alexander and Madeling Jennings; one great granddaughter, Emma Newman.
A graveside funeral will be held Monday, March 22 at 1:00 PM in Crewe cemetery, at Crewe, Virginia. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pine Street Inn, Attn. Development Dept., 444 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA 02118.

Charles A."Charlie" Orrock, Sr., 62, of Woodford, died Sunday, March 13, 2004. He had retired after 30 years with Southern States and enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include three children, Julia O. Pitts of Woodford, Charles A. "Joe" Orrock, Jr. and his wife, Teresa of Woodford and Mary O."Henny" Huff and her husband, Thomas of Beaverdam; his mother, Gladys Stephens of Ruther Glen; four sisters; one brother; five grandchildren, Kellie and Kaitlyn Orrock, Corinne and T.C. Huff and Stephanie Pitts. He was preceded in death by a brother.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 18 at 2:00 PM in Bethany Baptist Church, Woodford, with Rev. Amos Healy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Wednesday 7:00 - 9:00 PM.

Weldon R. Herrington of Ruther Glen died peacefully on Saturday, March 13, 2004 in Mary Washington Hospital. Mr. Herrington, the son of Jesse and Cora Reagan Herrington, was born in Broadford, Pennsylvania on June 9, 1911. He graduated from Southeastern University in 1941 with a degree in Accounting and settled in Arlington, Virginia where he raised a family and worked for the Civil Aeronautics Board. Mr. Herrington also served in the Army's 3rd Division during World War II and received the Purple Heart after being wounded at Anzio Beachhead. After retirement in 1971, he built a home and moved to Lake Caroline in Ruther Glen where he served as past president of the Property Owners Associate and was a devoted friend to many residents of the area. Weldon was a long-time member of Wrights Chapel United Methodist Church where he was Treasurer for nine years. Mr. Herrington was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Herrington.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Hilda Herrington; a sister, Isabelle Blades of Scottdale, Pennsylvania; a brother, Jesse Herrington of Langhorne, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Joanne Sargent and her husband Keith of Salt Lake City, Utah and Linda Strube and her husband, David of Raleigh, North Carolina; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 17, at 10:00 AM at Wrights Chapel UMC with Rev. Charles Tillapaugh officating. Burial will follow in Lakewood cemetery, Bowling Green. The family will receive friendsf at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Tuesday, 7:00 - 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at Wrights Chapel UMC, 8063 Ladysmith Road, P.O. Box 193, Ladysmith, Virginia 22501.

Barbara W. Wright, 60, of Bowling Green, Virginia. Loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend departed this life Saturday, March 13, 2004 with her family by her side. Barbara is fondly remembered as being a fun-loving person always thinking of others during special events and holidays. She enjoyed many wonderful times with her family and multitude of terrific friends. Barbara was an employee of The Caroline County Sheriff's Office as a Records Clerk for 25 years.
Her father, David P. Wilson and her son, William "Rogers" Wright, Jr., precede her in death. Cherishing her memory are her mother, Audrey M. Wilson of Charleston, West Virginia, daughter, Angel and her husband, Ted Lambert of Bowling Green, Virginia, her brother, Sonny Wilson and his wife, Teresa of Doswell, Virginia and daughter-in-law Tracy Wright, grandson, William "Randy" Wright and granddaughter, Courtney Jean Wright of Ruther Glen, Virginia and many wonderful family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Storke Funeral Home in Bowling Green, Virginia with the Rev. Kevin James officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Storke Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 from 6:00 - 8:30 PM. Contributions may be made to the Bowling Green Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 621, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427.

Henry W. Siegrist, 63, of Woodford died Monday, March 8, 2004 in the Richmond VA Medical Center. Born in Nashville, he was a retired truck driver and an Army veteran of Viet Nam.
Survivors include his daughter, Patricia A. Madison of Woodford; a sister, Annette Gardner of Portland, TN and two grandsons.
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 12 at 11:00 AM in Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green with burial to follow in Lakewood cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

William A. Drumheller, Jr., 62, of Ruther Glen, died Sunday, February 29, 2004 at Bowling Green Health Care Center.
He is survived by four children, Denise Borley, William Albert Drumheller, III, Jean Marie Heflich and Teresa Ann Dulaney; four sisters, Evelyn Wagner, Roberta O'Connell, Joyce Phipps and Betty Lou Williams; two brothers, Robert and Donald Drumheller; seven grandchildren, Angela and Bryan Heflich, Brett Drumheller, Dale Dulaney, Jr. and Rodney and Sierra Borley.
Storke Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Megan E. Carter, Megan Elizabeth Carter, 6 year-old daughter of Diane Burgess and Michael Carter of Woodford, died Friday, March 5, 2004, at her home. One of God's little angels went to be with her Lord.
Megan was a student at Bowling Green Primary School.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her brother, Justin Carter of the home; her maternal grandparents, Bobby and Betty Burgess of Stafford County her paternal grandmother, Dora E. Carter of Woodford; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Everett R. Carter.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with the Rev. Randy Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bowling Green Rescue Squad, Box 621, Bowling Green, Va. 22427.
