Departed this life April 3, 2002, Mrs. Dora M. Glover of Richmond. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St. Funeral notice later.

GOULDMAN
On Easter Sunday, our father, Douglass Gordon Gouldman III went to be with the Lord. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from AT&T. He was also retired from the Virginia State Police as a motorist assistant. He is survived by five children, Susan Chisholm, Tina Hughes, Scott Gouldman, Carl Gouldman and Windy Derby; five grandchildren, Brandon Chisholm, Courtney Gouldman, Nikki Gouldman, Amelia Gouldman and Rebecca Gouldman; and a sister Jean Jolley. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2002, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, Va., with visitation one hour prior. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Va. 23060.

HOLDEN
Mrs. Lillian Holden of Richmond departed this life Sunday, March 31, 2002. She is survived by five children, among them, Charles McKay (Faye); four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Streets. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 6, 11 a.m., Cornerstone Baptist Church, 6100 Cornerstone Blvd. Rev. Stanley Bennett, pastor, officiating. Interment Maury Cemetery. Remains will rest in church one hour prior to service. Relatives and friends attending funeral services assemble at the church Saturday, 10:30 a.m.

JETT
Edythe Barfield Martin Jett, born June 21, 1918, of Powhatan and formerly of Richmond, widow of Stapleton C. Jett, died April 2, 2002. She is survived by four children, Martha Karen Jett, Deborah Taylor Dunn and her husband, David, Gail Martin McFarlane and her husband, Michael, Gary Stephen Jett and his wife, Pamela; seven grandchildren, Ryland Kuper Jr., John Smart Jr., Christel Seidlitz, Sarah McFarlane, Bradforde Jett, Stephen Jett, Cadence Jett; three great-grandchildren, Elaina Kuper, Coty Smart and MaKayla Seidlitz. Mrs. Jett was a member of Tuckahoe Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60), Powhatan. Interment will be held April 25, 2002 at 11 a.m. in Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Tuckahoe Presbyterian Church, 7000 Park Ave., Richmond, Va. 23226.

LANGSTON
Departed this life April 1, 2002, Wilbert L. Langston of 2108 1st Ave. He is survived by two sisters, Mable Gunn and Audrey Langston; three brothers, James, Joseph and Wallace Langston; host of nieces, among them Shirley Hewlett, nephews and cousins; one brother-in-law, James Gunn and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave. Funeral Friday 1 p.m. Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street, where remains will lie in state one hour prior funeral time. Dr. Earl M. Brown, pastor, officiating. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45 p.m. Friday.

LEWIS
Dr. Jason Lewis, born September 16, 1915 in Lewistown, Maine, died April 3, 2002. He is survived by a son, Steven N. Lewis; daughter, Karen R. Lewis; daughter-in-law, Cheryl B. Lewis; stepson, David Barber; stepdaughter, Lisa Sanford; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Howard Lewis of Providence, R.I.; sister, Ruth Abrams of Lauderhill, Fla.; and dear friend and companion, Rosemarie Tilney. Dr. Lewis was educated at Bates College, graduating in 1937, Harvard Dental School, and University of Maryland. He served in the Army from 1943 to 1946 and was a Major in the Dental Corps during WWII. He was a pediatric dentist in private practice in Richmond from 1948 to 1988 and served on the faculty of the MCV Dental School from 1948 to 1960. Dr. Lewis was the President of the Richmond Dental Society, Founder and President of the Southeastern Pediatric Association, and President and Fellow of Virginia State Dental Association. He was a member of the State Board of Health (Medicaid), Richmond Board of Health and Chairman of the Fluoridation Committee of the City of Richmond. Dr. Lewis was the founder of the Tuesday Club, member of the Rotary Club, Sertoma, and board member of the Navy League. He was a member of the International College of Dentists and American College of Dentists. He was on the Board at the Children's Museum and Temple Beth Ahabah. Dr. Lewis was a member of Temple Mishkan Israel, the National Historical Railway Society, the Virginia Museum, and the Engineer's Club-Jewish Community Center. He was also on the Children's Hospital Dental Staff, involved with the McKee Dental Study Club, member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon-Scholastic, Alpha Omega Fraternity and a Haiti Dental Volunteer. Funeral notice later.

LINDENAU
Robert Allen Lindenau Jr., 51, of Henrico, died April 2, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Vivian E. Lindenau; son, Grant H. Lindenau Sr.; grandson, Grant H. Lindenau Jr.; mother, Mary Doris Kyle; three sisters, Beatrice Louise Anderson, Katherine A. Garnett and Grace Carrington; brother, Curtis Shettle; stepbrother, Randy K. Kyle; loving best friend, Letra Thompson; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday. Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park.

LIVESAY
James Kent "Jimmy" Livesay departed this life April 2, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Becky Higgins Livesay; and son, Kent; his parents, Leon and Peggy Livesay; a brother, Mark and his wife, Melissa; niece, Loren; nephew, Adam; other loving family and friends. He was a graduate of Trinity Episcopal High School and attended Elon College. Jimmy was owner and operator of Tri Lawn Company. He was a loving father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and where funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Friday with interment in Maury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 7151 West Belmont Rd., Richmond, Va. 23219.

MEREDITH
Judith Meredith of 2102 Creighton Rd. died April 1, 2002. Graveside services Friday, 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements by Scott-Lightfoot Funeral Home.

PAULETTE
Aubrey Holmes Paulette, age 83, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at Community Memorial Healthcenter. He is survived by his wife, Mary Gill Paulette; a son, William Aubrey Paulette and his wife, Carolyn of Richmond; and a daughter, Mary Jane Elkins of South Hill. Mr. Paulette had four grandchildren, Emmeline Paulette Reeves and her husband, Eric, William Harrison Paulette II and John David Elkins, all of Richmond and James Edward Elkins and wife, Suzanne of Lexington, Ky. He is also survived by a sister, Jane Paulette Taylor of South Hill. Mr. Paulette was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of WWII. He fought in the South Pacific at Guadalcanal and Pelelia. He was a member of "The Greatest Generation". He retired from Liggett and Meyers Tobacco Company and was a longtime member of the South Hill United Methodist Church. In addition, he enjoyed farming, gardening and golf. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4 at Farrar Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Shiloh United Methodist Church on Friday, April 5 at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Memorial Healthcenter Foundation, P.O. SKEENS
Mr. Sebert Frank Skeens, 66, of Yale, died Sunday, March 31, 2002. He is survived by one son, Jeffrey F. Skeens; three brothers, Herbie Skeens, Chris Skeens and Brother Skeens; four sisters, Lucille Estep, Charlotte Palmer, Gail Woodard and Gloria Sue Peters. Mr. Skeens was a retired U.S. Army veteran who served in both Vietnam and Korea and was awarded the Bronze Star. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday (tonight) at Owen Funeral Home in Jarratt. A graveside funeral service with full military honors will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2002 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 11, Yale, Va. 23897.

Mrs. Ella Osabell Smith departed this life April 1, 2002. She is survived by her loving family. STURT
Elizabeth Sturt, 87, of Summit Square, Waynesboro, died March 27, 2002. She was a dedicated Registered Nurse in Richmond. Her body was donated to the Virginia Anatomical Program. She is survived by her brother, Watson Sturt Jr.; sisters, Sabra Sturt Russell, Nannie Sturt Wheeler and Charlotte Sturt Johnson; nephews, Donald Sturt Wheeler and Herman Manson Wheeler; a niece, Elizabeth Johnson Isenkul; and one great-nephew, Koray Isenkul. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 at Concord Presbyterian Church, Rawlings, Va. STURT
Watson Jerome Sturt Jr., age 90, a longtime citizen of McKenney, Va., died March 29, 2002 at Heritage Hall, Blackstone, Va. He graduated from Randolph Macon College. Mr. Sturt was a well-known carpenter and house builder. A World War II veteran, he obtained the rank of Chief in the Navy Sea Bees with service in the Pacific Theater. He donated his body to the Virginia Anatomical Program. He is survived by sisters, Sabra Sturt Russell of California, Nannie Sturt Wheeler of Maryland and Charlotte Sturt Johnson of McKenney; one stepson, George Edward Coleman; one stepgrandson, Eli Coleman; and one stepgranddaughter, Erinn Coleman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Cotton Coleman Sturt; and two stepsons, Tommy Dale Coleman and Bobby Scott Coleman. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6 at 2 p.m. at Concord Presbyterian Church, Rawlings, Va. Contributions may be made to the Concord Cemetery Fund, c/o Della Tucker, Rawlings, Va. 23876.

TEMPLE
Robert James Temple entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 2, 2002. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Elizabeth Temple of Washington, D.C.; one devoted daughter, Flora Temple of Capital Heights, Md.; two sons, Henry Temple (Iva) and James Temple (Jean) of King William Co., Va.; one sister, Edith Holmes of California; four sisters-in-law, Bertha Temple and Hattie Wilkerson, both of King William, Va., Willana Valentine of Baltimore, Md. and Gladys Dabney of Ashland, Va.; 14 grandchildren, one devoted, Robert Barnes; 27 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, one devoted nephew, Harold Judd (Doris). His remains rest at the Henry W. Dabney Funeral Home, 518 N. Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va. His funeral service will be held Friday, April 5, 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church, King William, Va. THOMPSON
Mrs. Emma Mae Parker Thompson, 83, of Tappahannock, died Monday, April 1, 2002 in a Richmond hospital. She married Harvey L. Thompson in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1988. Mrs. Thompson was a retired school teacher having taught at the Port Royal School for five years and in Essex County for 30 years. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church, Supply, having taught Sunday school there for 60 years. She was also a member of the Essex County Womans Club and the XYZ Club. She is survived by her two sons and their wives, William Harvey and June E. Thompson of Toccoa, Ga. and Dr. Carl Ivan and Nance Nuckols Thompson of Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.; one sister, Mrs. Katherine Parker Chinault of Tappahannock; two grandchildren, Stephen Patrick Thompson and Deborah Allison Thompson; five stepgrandchildren and three nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 4, 2002 at 2 p.m. in the Marks-Bristow Funeral Home, Tappahannock, with the Reverend Steve Mills officiating. Interment will follow in Essex Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Enon Baptist Church Restoration Fund, c/o Francis Allen, 15429 Tidewater Trail, Fredericksburg, Va. 22408.

TOKER
Helen Levitin Toker, 88, of Richmond, died Monday, April 1, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Ronne Toker Jacobs and her husband, Cecil; her son, Jeffrey Barton Toker and his wife, Susan; her grandsons, Stephen Jacobs and his wife, Mary, Andrew Jacobs and his wife, Elisabeth; granddaughters, Allison Toker Musa and her husband, Jeff and Jody Beth Toker; six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Bernard Levitin, Portsmouth, Va. Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Hebrew Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Jewish Family Services, Legal Information Network for Cancer (LINC) or Temple Beth Ahabah.
