ROBINSON
Departed this life May 29, 2002, Mr. Willie John (Pop) Robinson Sr., age 73, of 2809 E. Marshall St. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie L. Robinson. He leaves to mourn his memory two sons, Willie Jr. and John E. Robinson; three stepdaughters, Virginia Dickerson, Gladys Woodson and Mary Cooley; a host of grandchildren; one brother, Harold Robinson of Yonkers, N.Y.; one aunt, Agnes Gordon of Richmond; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; one devoted daughter-in-law, Chantel Robinson; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where the family will receive friends Sunday 5 to 6 p.m. and where funeral services will be held Monday, 11:30 a.m. Rev. Willie Woodson officiating. Burial Quantico National Cemetery.

SEAY
William (Bill) R. Seay Jr. passed away May 31, 2002. He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey B. Seay; and son, Kevin R. Seay of Mechanicsville; his mother and stepfather, Mary and Eddie Hills of Stuart, Fla.; and one brother, Norman (Randy) Seay of Mechanicsville. Mr. Seay was a devoted family man who loved his family very much. The family will receive friends at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee Davis Rd., from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 2. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 3, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ashcake Volunteer Rescue Squad, 8375 New Ashcake Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23116.

SHOTT
Frank S. Shott, 82, of Hershey, Pa., died Friday in Hershey Medical Center. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II, had worked at the former Olmstead Air Force Base and was employed by the U.S. Department of Defense in Richmond, Va. He was a member of West Shore F&AM Lodge 671, Camp Hill, Scottish Rite Bodies and Harrisburg Consistory, William H. Nauss American Legion Post 143, New Cumberland, NARFE, Community United Methodist Church, New Cumberland, and attended First United Methodist Church, Hershey. Surviving are his wife, Allison; three daughters, Judith Bidding of Annville; Pamela Horn of St. Charles, Mo., and Donna Conner of Richmond; one son, Steven Shott of Richmond; eight grandchildren, Todd, Troy, Bruce, Julia, Jason, Rachel, Sarah and Brandie; and one great-granddaughter, Tara. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Musselman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Lemoyne, Pa. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fairview Twp. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends at the home of Donna and David Conner on Friday, June 14, at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Capital Region Division, 1517 Cedar Cliff Dr., Camp Hill, Pa. 17011.

SMITH
Alfred Littlefield Smith Jr., 56, of Richmond, died May 29, 2002. He was a graduate of St. Christopher's School and Virginia military Institute, and received his J.D. from the University of Richmond and L.L.M. from New York University. He served as a First Lieutenant in Vietnam in the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment. Mr. Smith was a law professor in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University and a partner with the Law Offices of Saunders, Cary and Patterson. Mr. Smith was a longtime VHSL football official. He was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, the Commonwealth Club and The Country Club of Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Hallie Darby Smith; his son, Alfred Littlefield Smith III; his daughter, Allison Smith Heverin and her husband, Timothy; and two aunts, Mrs. John Smith of Lyman, Maine and Mrs. J. Paul Wyatt. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2002 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 6004 Three Chopt Rd. Interment Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Virginia military Institute, P.O. Box 932, Lexington, Va. 24450; or St. Christopher's School, 711 St. Christopher's Rd., Richmond, Va. 23226.

SNYDER
Owen A. Snyder, a Richmond resident since 1953, died May 31, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Edna M. Snyder. A son, Rick Snyder, was killed in a plane accident in 1979 in Aspen, Colorado. Mr. Snyder was born in Paris, Tenn., attended college in Bowling Green, Ky., and was employed by North American Coal Corp., Prenter, W.Va. from 1937 through 1941. He served in the U.S. Navy Supply Corps from 1941 to 1945 on new ship commissioning units in Philadelphia and in South Pacific areas. After a short period of employment with U.S. Gypsum Co., he joined Reynolds Metals Co. in Louisville, Ky. in 1947. He was transferred to Richmond in 1953. He held various positions in production control, metal planning and distribution, and retired after 35 years of service. He was a member of Derbyshire Baptist Church and a life member of Hermitage Country Club. Remains rest at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., where friends will be received from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, and where a funeral service will be held on Monday, June 3, at 11 a.m. Private entombment in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Derbyshire Baptist Church, 8800 Derbyshire Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229, or Hampden Sydney College, Hampden Sydney, Va. 23943.

SPURLIN
Ms. Kay Powell Spurlin, 57, of Gasburg, Va., formerly of Richmond, Va., passed Friday, May 31, 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Maude Powell; and a sister, Daphne Thompson. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Stewart and her husband, Philip of Richmond, and Kristi Meyer and her husband, Matthew of Southern Pines, N.C.; three grandchildren, Tyler, Hayden, and Bailey Stewart; special care giver and friend, Margie Harrison; beloved pets Mitzi and Lucy. Ms. Spurlin was retired from the U.S. Postal Service with over 25 years of service. She was a master sergeant with the 80th Division (IT), United States Army Reserve for 24 years. Remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. Family will receive friends Monday, 6 to 8 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held 7 p.m Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at the funeral home. Interment private. TOPP
Jackson Henry Topp went to be with the Lord May 27, 2002. He was the infant son of Jonathan and Alice Topp; and the brother of Dabney, Maxwell, Sydney, Charlotte, Zachary and Harrison Topp. A Memorial Mass will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 25 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with a reception at the family's home following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes School or the Down's Syndrome Association of Greater Richmond.

TYLER
Departed this life May 30, 2002, Rev. George N. Tyler of Strath Rd., Pastor Emeritus of Fairfield Baptist Church, 1500 Mechanicsville Turnpike. He is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth T. Tyler; three sisters, Mildred B. Temple, Deacon Rosa T. Smith and Deacon Emily T. Corbin; one brother, Rev. Phillip E. Tyler; host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one sister-in-law, Blanche Tyler; two brothers-in-law, Deacon Raymond Smith and Harold Corbin; and other relatives and friends, and devoted Fairfield Baptist Church family. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave. Funeral Monday, 12 Noon at Fairfield Baptist Church, 1500 Mechanicsville Turnpike, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Alice K. Weiners, 79, of Richmond, formerly of Long Island, New York, died Thursday, May 30, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Tansey; son, William E. Anderson; seven grandchildren, Christine Johnson, Debra Tansey, Shannon Smith, Robert E. Tansey II, Robert and Stacey Anderson and William Anderson Jr.; also nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Weiners was a naval veteran of World War II and a former volunteer at McGuire VA Hospital. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 pm Sunday at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road. A graveside service will be conducted 1:30 pm Monday at Quantico National Cemetery. Geraldon (Go) Williams, U.S. Marine Corps Reserve (Ret.), died May 31, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Flo Williams; two daughters and their husbands, Laurie and Greg Rowe and Leslie and Bill Cocchiola; six grandchildren, Adam, Lindsey, Justin, Michael, Katie and Kendall; and two sisters. WILMOTH
Tad A. Wilmoth, 47, of Midlothian, died Thursday, May 30, 2002. He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Wokaty. He is survived by his wife, Deborah; son, Jason Scott Wilmoth; father, Thomas A. Wilmoth; brother, Terry and his wife, Trudy; and his in-laws, the Richardson family. Tad retired from the Henrico County Police Dept. and later worked as an investigator for Marks & Harrison. He was a member of the Henrico County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #4 and a member of Midlothian Masonic Lodge #211, Scottish Rite. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends after 1 p.m. Sunday and all day Monday, with a Masonic service to be held 7 p.m. Monday, and where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday. Services will be conducted by Pastor Clarence (Whitey) Davis and Chris Newcomb. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Henrico FOP, Scottish Rite Childhood Language Center or Oak Forest Baptist Church Youth Ministry.

WRIGHT
Maurice Wright Jr. of Richmond, died May 25, 2002. He is greatly missed by his loving mother, Micale Browne; and father, Maurice Wright; grandparents, Jubelee Browne, Carolyn and Van Williams Sr. will greatly miss their grandson, who fought the whole way home to see the Lord. Jon Gothard Bach, 46, of Ashland, died July 6, 2001 after a long and brave battle with leukemia. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Jones Bach; two sons, Allan Gotthard Bach and Robert Austin Bach; his father, Lieutenant Colonel Austin Bach and his wife, Christine; his brother, Kai Bach; three stepbrothers, Charlie Tompkins, John and George Piper; two stepsisters, Nina Piper and Lassie Tompkins. He will also be deeply missed by the entire Jones family, including Robert "Earl" and Janice Jones, Nancy and John, Mike and Melissa and Riley, and Bobby. Mr. Bach was a graduate of Randolph-Macon College and was employed by the University of Richmond. Friends may call at the Reid Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Mr. Harold D. Bethune departed this life July 4, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Rosalind Bethune; two sons, Harold Jr. and Stacey Bethune; stepdaughter, Wanda Gadson; grandchildren, Dina Harris, Shantel McDaniels, Dextor Jr. and Shawann Gadson; great-grandchildren, Jada and DeShan Harris; daughter-in-law, Jackie Bethune; son-in-law, Dextor Gadson Sr.; brother, Samuel Johnson; two brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His remains rest at the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home, where his family will receive friends Sunday, 5 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, 11 a.m. at the Richmond Christian Center.
