Naomi B. Williams of 2400 Burton St., Apt. 213, entered eternal rest October 18, 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fonsby Williams. Cherishing her memory are her sister, Margie Moody; her daughter, Rosa L. Hatchett; four grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A Eulogistic service will be conducted Tuesday, 2 p.m. at the All Faiths Chapel of the A.D. Price Funeral Establishment, 212 E. Leigh St. Bishop Fred Bridy officiating. ABRAMS
Margaret Eileen Abrams, age 65, of Blacksburg, left to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 9, 2002 at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born in New Kent, Va. on October 2, 1936 to the late Jacob Leonard and Mary Estelle Meredith. She was preceded in death by a brother, McKinley Meredith; and a sister, Lorene Meredith. She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her loving memory her husband, James Stanley Abrams; her children, Carlette Estelle Abrams of Newport News and James Garry Abrams of Richmond and Margarita Angela Abrams of Blacksburg; a daughter-in-law, Maria Alexandria Abrams of Richmond; grandchildren, Aundrea Danielle Scott, Jonathan David Scott, Parker Nathaniel Abrams, Kristina Margarite Abrams, Christopher Alexander Abrams; brothers, Leonard Harold Meredith and Robert Junious Meredith; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Meredith and Claretta Meredith, Lucille Manning, Dorothy Abrams, Nel Abrams, Mary Meredith; aunts, Inez Miller, Sophronia B. Woodson, Gracie Braxton; uncles, Luther Braxton and Meaco Woodson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 13, 2002 at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, 1730 West Street in Radford, Va. 24141 with Rev. C. Cole Casey officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park, Radford. The viewing for Mrs. Abrams will be from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Saturday at the church. There will be no family visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 554, Roanoke, Va. 24003-0554. BLANKENSHIP
Samuel K. (Buddy) Blankenship III, age 76, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of WWII, a member of the Sandston Masonic Lodge No. 216, the Scottish Rites Bodies, the Worthy Patron of Blanche Spencer No. 11, O.E.S, and past Patron of the Hanover Chapter No. 1301 O.E.S. Mr. Blankenship was preceded in death by his father and mother, Samuel K. Jr. and Katie Liggan Blankenship. Survivors include his wife, Patricia S. Blankenship; two daughters, Sandy Stilwell of Loveland, Colorado and Sylvia Blankenship of Richmond; two sons, Joel L. Blankenship and James H. Smith, both of Richmond; 11 grandchildren, Nicholas, Thomas, Corey, Katie, Ashley, Keith, Jason, Sarah, Elana, Jacob and James. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2002 at Seventh Street Christian Church on the corner of Malvern and Grove Ave. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blanche Spencer Chapter No. 11, O.E.S., for charitable contributions, 11034 Gould Hill Rd., Hanover, Va. 23069. Arrangements are being handled by the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home.

BOGANS
Departed this life July 8, 2002, Mrs. Edna M. Bogans of 2205 Rawlings Street. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah K. Short. She is survived by her husband, George T. Bogans; three daughters, Pamela J. Samuels, Velma D. and Bessie C. Bogans; three sons, Ronnie, Byron N. and Robert S. Bogans; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Kate Blalock; one aunt and cousins; one son-in-law, Robert Short; three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and other relatives, among them Frances Nelson, Mary Dumas and Betty Wilson; and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave. Funeral Saturday 1 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 1902 Rosewood Ave., where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Ronnie Flemming (pastor), Rev. Robert Short officiating. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45 p.m. Saturday.

CARTER
Mattie Alice Carter of Deltaville, Va., formerly of West Point, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at the age of 79. Her husband, Milton L. Carter, preceded her in death. She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church, Deltaville, Va. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Marie and Amos Taylor of Centerville, Tennessee; two sons and their wives, Leon and Vivian Carter and Wayne and Louise Carter, all of West Point; three brothers, James and Jesse Alderson of Warren, Michigan and Fred Alderson of Honaker, Va.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday 2 p.m. at Vincent Funeral Home, West Point, Va. Interment in Sunny Slope Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Middlesex/Deltaville Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 98, Deltaville, Va. 23043.

CARTER
Departed this life July 10, 2002, Mr. Theodore C. Carter of 3110 Fourth Ave. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 North 25th St. Funeral notice later.

COOK
Jim Cook of Forest City, N.C. died Tuesday, July 9, 2002. He was a retired school principal for Henrico Public County Schools for 16 years. Survivors include his wife Juanita Cook of Forest City, N.C.; four daughters, Linda Cook, Sandra Iscoe, Susan Katz and Kathryn Cook, all of Richmond, Va.; two stepdaughters, Denise Price and Ronea Newton, both of N.C.; one brother, Thomas Allen Mielbourne of Baltimore, Md.; and one stepson, Douglas Newton of N.C. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2002 at Danieltown Baptist Church, Forest City, N.C. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Crowe's Mortuary.

COTMAN
Anthony Lee (Lee-Lee) Cotman, born July 8, 1959 to Hazel Cotman-Setzer and the late Clarence Parnell Cotman. He departed this life on Tuesday, July 9, 2002. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, Hope D. Cotman; two daughters, Shak'era Armstead and Shak'ena Cotman; his mother, Hazel; two sisters, Princess Diann Lee and Parnella M. Cotman; three brothers, Carl Wendell, Micheal and Lionel Cotman; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 North 25th St., until Friday 5:30 p.m., after which remains will rest at Little Elam Baptist Church, 8840 Church La., Charles City, Va., where the family will receive friends Friday 7 to 8 p.m. Remains will also lie in state Saturday 12 noon at the church, where funeral services will be held Saturday 1 p.m. Rev. CRONE
Howard M. (Slim) Crone, 85, of Mechanicsville, died Tuesday, July 9, 2002. He was the widower of Vivian Koetzel Crone. He is survived by a daughter, Pamela C. Bohannon; a son, Harvey (Bubba) Crone and his wife, Nancy Crone; a granddaughter, Sharlee M. Crone; a grandson, Brian C. Crone; and a sister, Julia Bolling. Mr. Crone was a retired member of Boilermaker Local No. 45 and a Army veteran of World War II. His remains rest at Bliley Funeral Home's, Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday (today). Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park.

CROXTON
Francis Walter Croxton, 72, of Beaverdam, Va., went to be with the Lord July 10, 2002 at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Hospital, Hanover, Va. Mr. Croxton retired from Virginia Power in Richmond. Survivors include his wife, Fern Croxton; four daughters, Juanita Cooke and Barbara, Nancy and Linda Croxton; three sons, David, Junior and Leroy Croxton; a stepdaughter, Betty Wratchford of Spotsylvania, Va.; two sisters, Judy Fulmer and Marie Finn of Highland Springs, Va.; a brother, Dean Croxton of Greenwood, Ark.; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Spotsylvania Chapel.

DOBYNS
Doris Eldridge Dobyns of Lexington, Va. died Thursday, July 11, 2002. She was the daughter of the late Levy Jefferson and Martha Locke Eldridge. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Elton Buel and Joe Wilson Eldridge; and her sister, Evelyn Runkle. She is survived by her husband, Samuel W. Dobyns; and their daughters, Elizabeth D. Larkin of Virginia Beach, The Rev. M. Susan Dobyns of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Martha D. Kennedy of Mechanicsville; five grandchildren, Girard C. Larkin III, Matthew W. Larkin, Sarah E. Larkin, Kathleen W. Kennedy and Charles C. Kennedy; three sisters, Mary Madge E. Hinson and Mavis E. Todd of Dothan, Ala. and Jean E. Wagner of Lafayette, Ind.; and nieces and nephews. Interment will be in Jackson Memorial Cemetery Saturday, July 13 at 9 a.m. The graveside service will be conducted by The Reverends William and Deborah Klein of the Lexington Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to charity are preferred. Visitors will be received at home, 10 Sellers Avenue, on Friday, July 12 and after the service.

DONOHO
Delbert M. Donoho, 87, of Richmond, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002. He was preceded in death by his sons, Wayne M. Donoho Sr. and Rudy Alan Donoho. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Juanita M. Donoho; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Donoho was a member of the Hanover Church of the Nazarene and a retired employee of the Thom McCan shoe company. Remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Ave., where services will be held 2 p.m. Friday. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. Richard L. Stevens Elliott, 39, of Richmond, died suddenly Thursday, July 11, 2002. He is survived by his mother, Mary L. Elliott of Salisbury, Md.; and three sisters, Lynn S. Hume, Deborah S. Doctor and Catherine A. Stevens. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ROSMY, P.O. Ms. Mary L. Glover departed this life Wednesday, July 10, 2002. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Streets. Funeral notice later.

On July 8, 2002, Mrs. Grace Carry Harris, retired Associate Professor of English at Virginia State College and widow of Professor Emeritus Dr. Albert T. Harris, passed into eternal rest after a long illness. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Gilda Harris Lambert of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Mrs. Edwina Carry Williams of Durham, N.C.; two grandchildren, Albert Jason Lambert and Jennifer Maya Lambert; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Louise Fitzgerald Harris and Mrs. Dorothy Overby Harris, both of Danville, Va.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Harris will be held on Monday, July 15, 2002, at the James M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, Va. The Rev. Grady W. Powell, pastor emeritus of the Gillfield Baptist Church, officiating. Friends may visit the family from 2 to 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home, during which period the Petersburg Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will conduct the Omega Omega service. The funeral service will begin at 3 p.m., with burial following at Blandford Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the staff of the James M.
