LOEHR
George Anthony (Tony) Loehr, 76, of Henrico, died September 8, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Loehr; and three sons, Carroll, Bubba, Eddie. Also a brother, Carroll; and a sister, Mary; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; an aunt, Beatrice Walton; and a “special friend”, Heidi. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Monday, with interment at Westhampton Memorial Park.

Baby Boy Nasir A. McCauley of Henrico departed this life suddenly September 6, 2001. He is survived by his devoted mother, Petrice D. Taylor; father, Preston V. McCauley; a loving and devoted great-grandmother, Mrs. Aldean B. Melton; loving and devoted aunt, Nichole "Coco" Taylor; maternal grandfather, Ashton "Sarge" Taylor; paternal grandmother, Viola Taylor; great-aunts, Mrs. Mary B. Jones, Loretha Parker, and Mrs. Hilda Dixon; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave., where funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 10, at 1 p.m. Reverend Ronald C. Taylor Sr. officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Claudette Virginia Washington Myers of Richmond, departed this life September 7, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Joseph E. Myers; sisters, Ophelia M. Washington, Consuelo W. Brown, Anna M. Washington and Robinette W. Miller; brother, Robert H. Washington Jr.; sisters-in-law, Ruth Myers and Bernice B. Washington; brother-in-law, Andrew Miller; nieces, nephews and cousins, one devoted, Elizabeth Roberts; other relatives, godchildren, and a host of devoted friends, among them, Gloria Green and Ruth Little. Her remains rest at the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home, where an Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Omega Service will be held Monday at 6 p.m. After 10 a.m. Tuesday, her remains will rest at St. John Baptist Church, 4317 North Ave., where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Rev. Michael Felton officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Contributions may be forwarded to the American Cancer Society.

OWNBY
Elizabeth Taylor Ownby of Richmond, widow of Leo Ownby, died Friday, September 7, 2001. She is survived by her brother, Walter M. Taylor of Knoxville, Tenn.; and her sister, Margaret T. Irwin of Bristol, Tenn. Mrs. Ownby had been a partner in the W. Hugh Ownby Auction Co. for many years. She was a member of River Road Church, Baptist. Remains rest at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., where the family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, in the Chapel of River Road Church, Baptist. Interment in Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to River Road Church, Baptist.

PARKER
Robert Homer Parker Sr., age 76, of Burgaw, N.C., died Saturday, September 8, 2001 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be Monday, September 10, 2001, 11 a.m. at the Burgaw Presbyterian Church. Rev. Dr. Ray Mendenhall will officiate. Burial will follow in the Burgaw Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Parker was born June 16, 1925 at Newtons Crossroads in Sampson County to the late Frederick Henry and Ulla Moore Parker. He is survived by a son, Robert H. Parker Jr. of Sevierville, Tenn.; a daughter, Patricia Parker Slomanski of Richmond, Va.; four grandchildren, Eddie Wilson, Patti Grace Wilson, Jacob Parker and Hank Parker; two sisters, Mamie Everett of Wilmington, Odessa Koen of Wellsburg, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Ruby Parker of Tarboro, Brenda Parker of Wilmington, Mildred Parker of Lake Wales, Fla. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Grace in December 1999; and also brothers, Thelton, Alvin, and Richard Parker. Mr. Parker was a member of Burgaw Presbyterian Church where he served in earlier years as an ordained deacon and a choir member. He retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation after 18 years of service. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and was stationed in Jacksonville, Fla. He was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Parker enjoyed repairing clocks for friends and local residents. Pallbearers will be Johnnie Ruddell, Jamie Littleton, Junny James, Joe Bannerman, Danny Sanderson, and David Sanderson. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the Burgaw Presbyterian Church and at other times at the family residence at 204 N. McRae Street. A service of Harrell's Funeral Home Burgaw, 910-259-2136.

SATTERWHITE
Mrs. Christine Satterwhite of 3113 First Ave. departed this life September 8, 2001. Remains rest at the Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave. Funeral notice later.

SIBLEY
Richard M. "Sonny" Sibley Jr., age 66, of Hartfield, formerly of Richmond, died Saturday, September 8, 2001. He was owner of the former Big B Hardware Store in Church Hill and was a member of Moose Lodges No. 148 in Richmond and No. 2401 in Middlesex. Survived by his mother, Annie G. Sibley; children, Stephen M. and Richard W. Sibley and Sherrie Sibley Sturtz; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Carolyn S. Lucas and Ann S. Martin. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home, Saluda. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Landmark Baptist Church Building Fund, 4000 Creighton Rd., Richmond, Va. 23223 or Middlesex Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 98, Deltaville, Va. 23043.

SIMMONS
Altha Roscoe Simmons, 77, of Richmond, Va., retired superintendent of Steel Industries, Wheeling-Pitt and LTV in Cleveland, went to be with the Lord, September 7, 2001. He is survived by his wife of ten years, Doris C. Simmons; two sons, Earl William Simmons and his wife, Jo of Rockledge, Fla., and Stanley K. Simmons of Grand Forks, N.D.; three stepchildren, Jan Campbell and her husband, Dan of Hanover, Jim Porter and his wife, Elizabeth of Midlothian, and Judith Lowry and her husband, Jim of Hanover; two brothers, Harold Simmons of Steubenville, Ohio, and Leslie Simmons of Crystal River, Fla.; two sisters, Susie Cole of Lecanto, Fla., and Jean Harrison of Scio, Ohio; also six grandchildren, Keith, Michelle, Deana, Ellen, Porter and Spencer. Mr. Simmons was a member of Huguenot United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Pilgrim Lodge #691, AF&AM, in Steubenville, Ohio, the Black Heath Lodge #1982, AF&AM, Midlothian, Va., and a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. The family will receive friends Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Huguenot United Methodist Church, where services will be held Monday, 7 p.m. Interment Wednesday, 2 p.m. at Union Cemetery, Steubenville, Ohio, with Masonic graveside Rites, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Simmons Memorial Fund at Huguenot United Methodist Church.

SINGLETON
Darren Dommonic Floyd Singleton departed from this life on August 31, 2001. He is survived by his mother, Gloria Idajean Singleton; father, Douglas James Prentiss; sister, Diamond Gloria Idajean Singleton; two sons, Emanuel Hall and DeMari Simms; aunts, Leola L. Johnson and Mary Harris; uncle, Wilbert Johnson Sr. He leaves behind several cousins with loving memories, William M. Johnson, James R. Johnson, Marion Hicks, Veronica Hicks, Shirleen Hicks, Zina Hicks, Frank Hicks, Sherilyn Hicks, David Harris, Linda Harris, Deborah Johnson Alexander, Sharon Johnson Spinner and Wilbert Johnson Jr. Mr. Singleton was carpenter and painter by trade. He accepted Christ at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Richmond, Va. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 10, 2001, 2 p.m. at the W. S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home. Interment, Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of William M. Johnson, 1613 W. Wallace Street, Richmond, Va. immediately following burial.

Alease D. Taylor, 78, of Richmond, died September 6, 2001. She was the widow of Garland Taylor Sr. Her survivors include her daughter, Barbara A. Taylor; her son, Richard W. Taylor and his wife, Sherrie; one grandson, Andy Taylor; granddaughters, Ann Renee Saunders and Sarah and Rachel Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Marie and Jordan Saunders. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2001 at Chesterfield Square Retirement Community, 1017 Hioaks Rd. from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Southside Church of the Nazarene's Teen Bible Quizzing, 6851 Courthouse Rd., Chesterfield, Va. 23832.

Departed this life September 5, 2001, Mrs. Madeline Delores Taylor of 1306 N. 26th St. She is survived by her five children, Marcellus F. Jr., Clarence and Selena Taylor, Deborah T. Page, and Dianna Wright; her mother, Iva Lee Friend; six grandchildren; three sisters, Lillian Brockenbrough, Joyce Morton, and Carol Francis; two brothers, Junius and Lewis Friend; a host of nieces and nephews, one daughter-in-law, one son-in-law, two sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends. Seymour Taylor, 84, of Ruther Glen, died September 6, 2001. He is survived by his wife 54 years, Miriam; two sons, Steven and Les; his daughter, Lori, his grandson, Eric. Charles E. Traylor, age 70, of Glen Allen, died Saturday, September 8, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Yanzhi Ju Traylor; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joanne and Oliver Johnson, Pat and Ray Carter; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Mr. Traylor was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. and a retired employee of the Richmond City Health Department. The family will receive friends Monday 7 to 9 p.m. at K.L. She is survived by her husband, Mosby Lester Wigginton Sr.; two sons, Mosby Lester Wigginton Jr. and Michael Wesley Wigginton, graduate of Cerebral Palsy Center; two daughters, Donna Wigginton Reese and Cynthia Wigginton Quillon; daughter-in-law, Julia C. Wigginton; two sons-in-law, Robin Quillon and Dawson Reese; brother, Donald E. Jones; and sister, Rosine J. Catron, both of Roanoke; 12 grandchildren, Christina M. Sharkey of Summerville, S.C., Morrie L. Horning, Philip M. Meade Jr., Melonie M. Borman of Columbia, S.C., M. Neil Wigginton, Natalie C. Wigginton of Glen Burnie, Md., Nicole L. Wigginton, Brooke E. Wigginton, Candace M. Quillon, Molly L. Quillon, Caroline P. Quillon, and Ty R. Quillon; and five great-grandchildren. Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home assisting family with arrangements.
