A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7, at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Chapel with Rev. John S. Farrar officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 5, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Preddy Funeral Home in Orange.

Marshall Woodrow Kirkley of Culpeper, Va., died on Monday, June 30, 2003, at his home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7, at 11 a.m. at W.C. Thompson Funeral Home. Interment will be in Culpeper National cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Culpeper American Legion Post #330 and the Culpeper Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2524. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 6, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at W.C. Thompson Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. W.C. A funeral service for Robert Lee Thompson of Richmond, Va., will be held today at 11 a.m. at Satchells Funeral Home in Orange, Va. Interment will be in Westview cemetery in Orange. Rev. Ludwell Brown will officiate.

Mary Frances Hill
Mary Frances Hill, formerly of Madison, Va., died on Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Major W. Washington; her mother, Ophelia C. Washington; her husband, Robert E. Hill; her brother, James M. Washington.
She leaves to mourn three sisters, Ethel Washington of Culpeper, Eva Hall of Warrenton and Sally Davidson of Hyattsville, Md.; a very special sister-in-law, Christine Washington; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Criglersville, Va. at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, with the Rev. Wayne Carpenter of Madison officiating.
Interment will be in the family section of the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 noon until time of the service.

Merril Austin Kiser
Merril Austin Kiser, 83, of Amissville, Va., died on Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at Fauquier Hospital.
He was born on February 15, 1920 in Kentuck, WVa.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served with the 9th infantry in WWII. He received many commendations and awards including the Bronze Star and Silver Star. He was a Past Master of the Concord Lodge #307 A.F. & A.M. He retired from NSA.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Catherine P. Kiser of Amisville, Va.; two daughters, Dianne McCuen of Gastonia, Va., Catherine Lynne Bohrer of Fairfax, Va.; two sons, Merril Austin Kiser Jr. of Chantilly, Va., Roger Wayne Kiser of Rixeyville, Va.; one sister, Mardel Pepper of Alabama; seven grandchildren, Amanda Bohrer, Rebecca Doehring, Matthew Bohrer, Joshua Bohrer, Monica Phillips, Kim Huestess, Tim Ferguson; four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Austin Kiser and his mother, Ada Savage Kiser.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28, at 10 a.m. at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton.
Interment will be in National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Va. at 1 p.m.

Tom Lee Osborne
Tom Lee Osborne, 77, of Culpeper, Va., died on June 26, 2003, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va.
He was born on January 5, 1926 in Norton, Va.
He was a retired educator and farmer.
Tom will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed farming.
His parents were the late Walter Benjamin Osborne and the late Delphia Maddux Osborne.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia O. Osborne, his son, John T. Osborne, his grandson, Thomas Lee Osborne, his granddaughter, Georgia Lynn Osborne, all of Culpeper; his brothers, W.B. Osborne of Haines City, Florida, Harold Osborne of Lexington, N.C.; his sisters, Ruth O. Franklin of Knoxville, Tenn., Nell O. Culver, Freeta O. Campbell, Patricia O. Wininger all of Kingsport, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Bruce, Fred, George and Ronald Osborne.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30, at 11 a.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Bobby Sylvia and Mr. Luther Nussbaum officiating.
Interment will be in Culpeper National cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post 330 and VFW Post 2524.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 29, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home.

Evelyn L. Singleton
Evelyn L. Singleton, 86, of Rixeyville, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2003, at her son, Billy’s residence. She was born April 17, 1917 to the late Herbert and Ida Scott of Rixeyville.
Mrs. Singleton was a member of Gourdvine Baptist Church, the Jefferson Homemakers Club, Farm Bureau Women’s Committee and the Gourdvine B.A.L.L. group. She retired in 1982 after more than twenty-five years of service as a school bus driver with Culpeper County Schools.
Mrs. Singleton is survived by her son, Billy Singleton and his wife, Sandi of Rixeyville, and her daughter, Sharon Williams and her husband, Dick of Haymarket.
Additional survivors include seven grandchildren, Anthony Ross Singleton of Saudi Arabia, Tracy Williams of Nokesville, Gwen Cranston of Florida, Richard Williams of Haymarket, Daniel Minton of Fredericksburg, Maile Martin of Culpeper and Julie Singleton of Richmond, and four great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two sisters, Pearl Creel of Culpeper ande Pat Corbin of Rixeyville and one brother, James Scott of Culpeper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie R. Singleton and one sister, Hazel Shipe.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28, at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Chapel with the Rev. John L. Miller and Rev. Wayne Richards officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of a contribution to the Gourdvine Baptist Church Building Fund.

Lottie Pearl Woodward
Lottie Pearl Woodward, 92, of Remington, died Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 15, 1910 in Rappahannock County to the late Earnest Peyton and Pearl Alice Sisk Peyton.
Mrs. Woodward is survived by five children, Richard William Woodward of Forest, Shirley Lou Campbell of Culpeper, Franklin Jacob Woodward of Culpeper, Douglas Eugene Woodward of Remington and James Robert Woodward of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include a sister, Margaret Buraker of Culpeper, twenty grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Anderson Woodward, one son, Edward Leroy Jenkins and one brother, Bernard Frazier.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28, at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Chapel with Elder Toliver Utz officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Steve, Gary, Kenneth and Jay Woodward.

Lottie Elizabeth Collier, 96, of Arlington, died on Saturday, June 7, 2003, at Fairfax Nursing Center in Fairfax.
She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Clarendon and a member of the Eastern Star, JOPPA Lodge #35 in Washington, D.C. She loved to cook and garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Collier, Sr. in November of 1998.
She is survived by her sons, Jay (and Ann) Collier, Jr. of Lorton, Va. and Richard (and Nancy) Collier of Burke, Va.; her grandchildren, Rick Collier, Doug Collier, Karen Vaughn, Mike Collier, Michelle Paul and Dan Collier; 10 great-grandchildren; her nieces, Peggy King and Janice Ramsey and her nephew, Art Collier.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 9, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home, 8521 Sudley Rd., Manassas.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 10, at 10 a.m. at Lee Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Valley View cemetery in Nokesville.

Dorothy Fouche Harlow
Dorothy Fouche Harlow, 84, of Maple Springs Farm, Culpeper, Va., died on June 6, 2003, at Culpeper Health & Rehab. Center.
She was born on February 19, 1919 in Frederick, Md.
She was a homemaker, a member of Culpeper Baptist Church since 1945, the Eggbornsville Home Demonstration Club and the 4-H All Stars.
Her parents were the late William Fouche and the late Valley Ruckers Fouche.
Her husband was the late Lawrence Harlow.
Survivors include one son, Charles Harlow of Maple Springs Farm, Culpeper, Va.; one brother, Arthur Fouche of Boonesboro, Md.; two grandsons, Dennis Harlow of Culpeper, Va. and Kenny Harlow of Dillwyn, Va.; one granddaughter, Bonnie Menefee of Brightwood, Va.; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William Fouche.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9, at 11 a.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ted Fuson officiating.
Interment will be in Fairview cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday one hour prior to the service.

Lois Mildred White Hedrick, 92, of Charlottesville, Va., died Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at her residence.
Born December 10, 1910 in Beckley, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Edgar H. and Ruby L. Cavendish White. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William C. Hedrick, Sr.; sons, William C. Hedrick, Jr. and William Bleakley; sisters, Alma Worthington, Marie Meadows, Rachel Inskeep, and Jessie Harman; and brothers, James E. White and Lyle L. White.
Survivors include a son, Charles M. Hedrick and his wife, Mary Jo of Charlottesville, a daughter-in-law, Patricia M. Hedrick of Springfield, Va., grandchildren, William C. ("Kico") Hedrick, II and his wife Tammi, Charles M. Hedrick, Jr. and his wife, Kelley, Sheri Jo Hager and her husband, Andrew, and Karin Nicole Hedrick, great-grandchildren, Chuck Hedrick, Logan Hedrick, Lindsey Reisser, Trenton Maupin and Julia Maupin; and a sister, Betty Rae Bucher of Littlestown, Pa.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 6, at Holly Memorial Gardens with Dr. Joel Jenkins officiating. The family will be receiving friends at her home.

Cecil James Nicholson, 90, of Front Royal, died peacefully Wednesday, June 4, 2003, in Winchester.
Mr. Nicholson was born February 24, 1913 in Culpeper, Va., son of the late John and Betty Belle Dodson. He was retired from Avtex Fibers. He was preceded in death by a brother, Manuel Nicholson and two sisters, Vinnie Bly and Aldean Nethers.
Survivors include two daughters, Margie A. Twaddle of Marianna, Fla. and Shirley M. Chiveral of Front Royal; two sons, Burnie R. Nicholson of Dexter, New Mexico and Ernie L. Nicholson of Front Royal; 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 6, at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7, at 11 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Dr. Michael Normoyle officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview cemetery in Culpeper.
Pallbearers will be Sonny Chiveral, Danny Stonebreaker, Tony Chiveral, Tom Nash, Erick Poe, and Miguel Oaxaca.
Honorary pallbearer will be Rick Stonebreaker.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
