Vanessa Lynn Myers
Vanessa Lynn Myers, 15, of Culpeper, died Monday, April 21, 2003, at Culpeper Regional Hospital. She was born October 15, 1987 in Warrenton to Patrick Lewis Watson and Vickie Lynn Myers Watson.
Vanessa loved music, shopping and especially being with her friends.
In addition to her parents, Vanessa is survived by two sisters, Kimberly Nicole Myers and Heather Michelle Watson both of Culpeper, her paternal grandparents, Lewis and Billie Watson both of Lignum, maternal grandparents, Archie and Nancy Myers of Remington, paternal great-grandmother, Thelma Watson of Lignum and maternal great-grandfather, Harvey Simpson of Appomattox.
Additional survivors include her aunts and uncles, Michael and Lisa Myers and their children, Brittany and Michael, Jr. all of Richardsville, Ronnie and Audrey Watson and their children, Ronnie Jr. and April all of Spotsylvania and Doug and Barbara Myers and their children, Mandy Roop and her husband, Dale, and Tonya, Amy and Dillon all of Fredericksburg.
She is also survived by her best friend, Tashania Williams of Culpeper.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 27, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held Monday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at Mount Holly Baptist Church, in Remington with Pastor James Woods officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Holly Baptist Church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Watson, Jr., Richard Southard, Kevin Giles, Gary Edwards, Anthony Edwards.

Gene Marshall Dodson of Viewtown, Va. went to be with the Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 22, 2003. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 26, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 27, at 2 p.m. at Gourdvine Baptist Church with Rev. John L. Miller and Rev. Milton Switzer officiating. Marian Tucker Douglas
Marian Tucker Douglas, 72, of Fredericksburg, Va., died on April 20, 2003, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Va. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26, at 11 a.m. at the Temple of Deliverance-Holy Church of God, 5756 Zachary Taylor Hwy., Mineral, Va. with Elder Lynn W. Beanum officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the church. Richard Joseph Riddick
A graveside service for Richard Joseph Riddick, of Fairfax, Va., will be held today at 11 a.m. at Culpeper National cemetery with Pastor Debbie Frye officiating. Full military honors will be provided by Culpeper American Legion Post #330 and V.F.W. Post #2524. The family will receive friends immediately following the service for a reception in Rixeyville, Va. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Northern Virginia, or St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Culpeper, Va. Arrangements are being handled by the Everly Funeral Home in Fairfax, Va.

Joseph Rudolph Parvin, III “Trey”
Joseph Rudolph Parvin, III, known as “Trey”, age 18, of Culpeper, died Monday, April 21, 2003, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. He was born January 7, 1985 in Culpeper to Joseph Rudolph Parvin, Sr. and Mary Frances Jenkins Parvin both of Culpeper.
Trey loved riding dirt bikes and being with his friends.
In addition to his parents, Trey is survived by four sisters, Kimberly Blair Elliott and Betty Jane Furr both of Culpeper, Vickie Moots of Virginia Beach and Lori Waters of Chesapeake and one brother, Rudy Parvin, Jr. of Chesapeake.
Additional survivors include his maternal grandparents, Roberta and Bobby Clift of Fredericksburg, five nieces and the youngest being Skylar his little buddy, and three nephews and a host of uncles and aunts.
He is also survived by a multitude of friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James R. Jenkins and paternal grandparents, Henry Alston and Alethea Parvin.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will held on Thursday, April 24, at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Chapel with Pastor Josh Shifflett officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National cemetery.
Pallbearers will be T.J. Dunn, Garrett Lynch, Jarrett Leathers, Tim Embrey, Justin Stanley, Jayson Jarrells, Daniel Jenkins and Tom Embrey.

Virginia Ann Gallihugh
Virginia Ann Gallihugh, 57, of Lynchburg, Va., died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at the Lynchburg General Hospital.
She was born on March 23, 1946 in Charlottesville, Va. and was the daugher of the late Charles Henry Gallihugh and Edith Deal Gallihugh.
She is survived by four brothers, John and Jesse Gallihugh both of Oak Park, Charles Gallihugh and wife Annie of Keswick, Va., Shirley Gallihugh and wife Madalyn of Oak Park, Va.; five sisters, Ruby Walker and husband J.W. of Culpeper, Va., June Chastain and husband Ralph of Oak Park, Va., Bertha Johnson and husband Bill of Rochelle, Va., Edna Peyton of Madison, Va., Rosa Hartman of Ohio; a special niece, Frances Middleton and husband Cecil of Orange, Va.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Garner and a brother, Claude Gallihugh.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery at Oak Park conducted by Rev. Barry Van Pelt.

Roger Dale Hawkins
Roger Dale Hawkins, 56, of Warrenton, Va., died on April 19, 2003, at the Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton, Va.
He was born April 8, 1947 in Front Royal, Va. and grew up in Rappahannock County, Va.
He worked as a salesman for Culbertson Company of Virginia, a commercial roofing company in Manassas, Va. He was a member of Fauquier Springs Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar B. Hawkins and one brother, Bobby Hawkins.
He is survived by one son, Christopher Hawkins of Warrenton, Va.; one daughter, Kimberley Hawkins of Warrenton, Va.; his mother, Annie Bennett Hawkins of Washington, Va.; two brothers, Frank Hawkins of Fredericksburg, Va., and Billy Hawkins of Stephens City, Va.; three sisters, Jean Alther of Washington, Va., Mabel Burke of Woodville, Va., and Dorothy Burke of Gainesville, Va.; one grandchild, Christian Hawkins of Warrenton, Va.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton, Va.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, at 11 a.m. at Washington Masonic cemetery, Washington, Va. The funeral procession will leave from Moser Funeral Home on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. for the graveside service.

Harry Lewis Mills
Harry Lewis Mills, 84, of Culpeper, Va., died on April 20, 2003, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va.
He was born on May 8, 1918 in Culpeper County.
He retired from Rochester Corp. after 35 years.
He was married to the late Margaret H. Mills for 62 years.
His parents were the late William H. Mills and the late Anne Sours Mills.
Survivors include five sons, William Mills and wife Joyce of Charlottesville, Va., Earl Mills and wife Karen of Culpeper, Va., Lester Mills and wife Kristie of Manassas, Va., Donald Mills and Esther Abel of Spotsylvania, Va., and Charlie Mills and wife Brenda of Culpeper, Va.; four daughters, Hazel Ross of Warrenton, Va., Lee Mills of Culpeper, Va., Audrey Anderson and husband John and Ann Mills and Bob Gollahon of Falmouth, Va.; 19 grandchildren, Mike Mills, Debra Mills, Susan Ross, Stephanie Spicer, Scott Ross, Sandy Carter, Warren Anderson, Cynthia Anderson, Christina Gimbel, Steve Mills, Erin Mills, Andrew Mills, Kelly Mills, Mark Mills, Donna Mills, Michele Mills, Jonathan Mills, Greg Mills, and Lauren Mills; nine great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Malcolm Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and three brothers, Roy Mills, Charles Mills, Leonard Mills; a sister, Lourena Hill; and a grandson, Jason Martin.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, at 11 a.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home with the Rev. John Miller of Alum Spring Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be in Fairview cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home.

Richard Joseph Riddick
Richard Joseph Riddick, 83, of Fairfax, Va., died on April 16, 2003, at the Hospice of Northern Virginia, following a long illness.
Mr. Riddick worked as Executive Secretary and assistant to the
President of Freight Forwarders Institute, the national organization representing freight forwarders to the Interstate Commerce Commission.
He was born in Richmond, Va., and lived in Alexandria, Va. and Fairfax, Va. since the 1930’s. During World War II he served with the Asiatic Fleet on the USS John D. Ford DD228 in the Java Sea Campaign and later with the Office of Naval Intelligence. Following the war, Mr. Riddick was employed by the Southern Railway Company as Secretary to the Vice President of Operations. He was a founder member of the American Society of Traffic and Transportation, vice president of the Washington Chapter, National Defense Transportation Association, Freight Forwarder editor of the ICC Practitioners Journal and former member of the National Press Club.
Mr. Riddick is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Muriel C. Riddick. He was the loving father of James L. (Ilse) Riddick; caring grandfather of Monica Stover, James C., Michael J. and Erica K. Riddick; great-grandfather of Mathew Bryce and Dana Marie Stover. He is also survived by his brother, William M. Riddick.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 24, at 11 a.m. at Culpeper National cemetery with Pastor Debbie Frye officiating. Full military honors will be provided by Culpeper American Legion Post #330 and V.F.W. Post #2524.

Dorothy Gibbs Flowers
Dorothy Gibbs Flowers 87, of Culpeper, Va., passed away Saturday, April 19, 2003, in Madison, Va.
She was born on April 17, 1916 in Madison County, Va.
She was retired after having taught for 28 years in the Arlington County School System. She loved music and playing the piano at Culpeper United Methodist Church where she was a member since 1981, and she also enjoyed teaching and flowers.
Her parents were the late Benton S. Gibbs and the late Mary Utz Gibbs.
Her husband was the late Harry Richard Flowers.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Hazel Verduce of Culpeper, Va., Norma J. Gibbs of Madison, Va., Delores Yowell of Madison, Va., Jack Rosson, Jr. of Bowie, Md., Mary Sue Seale of Madison, Va., and Harrison Lohr of Culpeper, Va. She is also survived by a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, brothers and sisters, Robert “Curtis” Gibbs, Anna Gibbs Rosson, Elbert Gibbs, Corrie Lee Lohr, and Carter Gibbs.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22, at 2 p.m. in the Clore-English Funeral Home.
The Rev. Henry Daniel Aylor and the Rev. Marvin C. Cook will officiate.
Interment will be in Oak Grove United Methodist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Ralph Douglas Wallin
Ralph Douglas Wallin, 78, of Lake of the Woods, died Saturday, April 19, 2003 at the Culpeper Regional Hospital.
Mr. Wallin was born Sept. 6, 1924 in Detroit, Mich., to the late John Frederick and Hildur S. Wallin. He was a graduate of Bethany College in Bethany, W. Va., and was a former sales director for several chemical companies serving the automotive industry.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie D. Wallin; one son, Douglas Wallin of Fairfax; and four daughters, Kristen Fraser White, Constance Rieger, and Kendra Schlenker, all of Houston, Tx. and Prudence Johnson of Phoenix, Az. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

Christine N. Frankson, 38, of Hume, Va., died on April 15, 2003, at her home. Mary Ann Hamm, 64, of Marshall, Va., died on April 14, 2003, at Fauquier Hospital. A funeral service will be held today at 12 noon at First Ashville Baptist Church, 4218 Ashville Road, Marshall, Va. with the Rev. William Swann officiating. Interment will be in the First Baptist Church cemetery, The Plains, Va. Joynes Funeral Home in Warrenton is in charge of the arrangements.

Tracy Alan Harmon
Tracy Alan Harmon, 39, of Rixeyville, Va., died on April 16, 2003, at his home. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 21, at 11 a.m. at Moser Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Bright View cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Middle Atlantic Samoyed Rescue, Treasurer, 2450 Johnson Rd., Huntington, MD 20639.

Mabel V. Lunceford
Mabel V. Lunceford, 85, of Warrenton, Va., died April 15, 2003, at the INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church. A graveside service will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Warrenton cemetery by Rev. I. Everett Hughes, Jr. Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton is in charge of the arrangements.
