Ann White Gillispie, 56, of Caroline County died on Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at the University of Virginia Hospital due to an auto accident. Ann was a member of Round Oak Baptist Church. She was a cashier at Walmart and had previously worked at the Western Sizzlen of 18 years. Ann enjoyed working and her grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters, Debbie K. Gillispie of the home, Tammy G. Chewning of Woodford and Rhonda L. Aleshire of Fredericksburg; a son, Ronnie L. Gillispie of the home; her mother, Lalah M. White of Fredericksburg and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 14, 2003 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Fredericksburg from 7:00-9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2003 at Round Oak Baptist Church at 11:00 am with the Rev. Randy Newsome officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Round Oak Baptist Church, General Fund, PO Box 129, Corbin, VA 22446.

John Barr, Sr.

John Alden "Big John" Barr, Sr., 48, of Stafford County died on Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at Mary Washington Hospital. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Barr, of Stafford; a son and his wife, John and Donna Barr, Jr. of Spotsylvania; a brother, Martin Barr, Jr. of Spotsylvania, a sister, Doris Carnwell of Nokesville and a granddaughter, Katie. John was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Barr, Sr. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2003 at Dumfries cemetery.

Molly Jenkins

Molly Ann Jenkins, 87, of Culpeper died Sunday January 19, 2003 at the Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Jenkins was born December 18, 1915 in Rappahannock County to the late Mr. James Kennedy and Carrie Hawkins Kennedy. Molly is survived by her three sons; Irvine Jr.and his wife Joyce, Bobby and his wife Madelline, and Billy Jenkins all of Culpeper, and her four daughters; Mary Lee Shifflett of Culpeper, Doris Myers, and her husband Wallace of Brandy Station, Judy Fincham and her husband James, and Nancy Geer and her husband Turner, of Brightwood. Nineteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her four sisters; Ruth Brown, Roberta Soutter, Peggy Smith, and Myra "Sis" Suder, and one brother, Jimmy Kennedy. In addition to her Parents, Molly is preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Jenkins, four brothers; Billy, Marshall, Albert, and Burgess Kennedy, and two sisters; Eva Lillard, and Nina Rowland. The Family will receive friends Tuesday January 21, 2003 from 7-8:30p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at 11a.m. in Fairview cemetery, Culpeper with Rev. Sanford L. Martin Officiating. Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper is in charge of the arrangements.

Jack Bumgarner, 76 of Culpeper died Friday, December 19, 2002 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. Mr. Bumgarner was born April 11, 1926 in Wilkesboro, North Carolina to the Late Arthur and Hatava Miller Bumgarner. Jack is survived by his wife of 46 years, Betty W. Bumgarner one son, Mark Bumgarner and his wife, Denise and their children, Kyle and Keri of Stafford, Virginia and one daughter, Ann Hearn and her husband, Mark and their children, Jack and Alex of Frederick, Maryland. He was the youngest of 10 children and is survived by one sister, Claire Burnett and her husband, Bill of Falls Church and one brother, Clate Bumgarner and his wife, Alpina of Millers Creek, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 22, 2002 from 2 - 4 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike. A funeral service will be held Monday, Decemeber 23 at 11a.m. at Found and Sons Chapel with the Dr. Ted W. Fuson officiating. Interment will follow in Culpeper National cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dan Arnold, Jack Persinger, Robert Aylor, Alton Willingham, Clarence Batten and Jim Whitesell. Found and Sons Funeral Chapels is in charge of the arrangements.

Frederick Garrison

Frederick Hume Garrison, 89, of Madison died Sunday, December 22, 2002, at Mountain View Nursing Home where he received much loving care. He was born October 18, 1913 in Fauquier County to the late Edward Milton Garrison and Jenny Bertie Hume Garrison. Mr. Garrison is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Garrison and two children, Edward Frederick Garrison of Carson, CA and Jerry Francis Garrison of Charlottesville. Additional survivors include one sister, Grace Lee Weaver of Remington and five grandchildren, Jordan, Bryce, Erica, Nicole and Madison. A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 26, at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Chapel with Rev. Joseph B. Anderson, Jr. Interment will follow in Jeffersonton Baptist Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Habitat for Humanity of Madison County, P.O. Box 171, Madison, VA 22727. Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is in charge of the arrangements.

Laura Anna Haun, 69, of Culpeper lost her battle to Pancreatic Cancer Monday, December 23, 2002, after a five-week stay at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 27, 1933 in Madison County to the late Eppie Daniel Woodward and Laura Frances Nicholson Woodward. Mrs. Haun worked at Gayheart Drug Store for fifteen years. She was dedicated to her family, being a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed flower gardening especially her roses. Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, Charles William Haun of Culpeper and four children, Charles L. Haun and his wife, Loretta of Fredericksburg, Larry W. Haun and his wife, Judy of Culpeper, Roger S. Haun of Middleburg and Roy A. Haun and his wife, Marcy of Culpeper. Additional survivors include eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three brothers, Jessie Woodward of Brynmawr, PA, William Woodward of Front Royal, Frank Woodward of Orange, and two sisters, Ginger Woodward of Spotsylvania, Brenda Ness of Culpeper. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 27, at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Chapel with Pastor Charles Shifflett officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church cemetery. Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is in charge of the arrangements.

Dale Denson

Mr. Dale Denson, 59, of Fredericksburg died on Thursday, November 21, 2002. He is survived by his four children, Matthew Denson, Kristina Kellie Denson, Jeffery Todd Denson and Tammy Turner Clapper, all of Fredericksburg and two beloved grandchildren. Mr. Denson was an avid bowler and spent much of his free time playing in a bowling league. He also loved spending time with his two grandchildren. He served in the Army and the Air Force. He later was employed for ten years at Mary Washington Hospital as head of the Orthopedic Floor. Mr. Denson worked as a grounds man doing general maintenance and tree service in the Fredericksburg area. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, Fredericksburg with internment at Quantico National cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2002 at the funeral home.

Robert Gene Ream, 69, of Spotsylvania, formerly of Taylorville, Ill., died on Friday, December 27, 2002 at Fairfax Hospital. He is survived by his wife Lois G. Ream; a sister, Marian Norville; a brother, Lynn Ream both of Springfield, Ill., and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Mayme Ream and his brother, Donald Ream, Jr. The family will receive friends at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, Fredericksburg on Monday, December 30, 2002 from 6:00 to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel on Tuesday at 11:00am with the Rev. Victor Gomez officiating. Interment will follow in Quantico National cemetery. She is survived by her husband, John Scheidenberger; two daughters, Jackie Martin of Metz France, Monique Rabuel of Nece France; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, Fredericksburg, Friday November 29, 2002 at 11:00am with Father Donald J. Rooney officiating. Burial will be private.

Charles Woodard, Jr.

Charles Raymond Woodard, Jr., 30, of Stanardsville died Saturday, March 22, 2003, at his residence. He was born April 2, 1972 in Culpeper County to Charles Raymond Woodard, Sr. and Tilta Marie Foster Woodard both of Culpeper. In addition to his parents, Mr. Woodard is survived by his wife, Whitney Woodard of Culpeper and two children, Devin Conrad Woodard and Rachel Marie Woodard both of Culpeper. Additional survivors include one sister, Joyce A. Johnson and her husband, Mark both of Elkwood and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 28, at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Chapel with Rev. Lee Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. Interment will follow in Fairview cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raymond Brown, Jr., Jack Bright, Roger Gough, Jr., Jeff Wise, Ronnie Atkins and Eddie Burke. Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is in charge of the arrangements.

Yogendra "Yogi" Patel, Ph.D.

Yogendra "Yogi" M. Patel, Ph.D., 75, of Arlington died Monday, December 23, 2002, at Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community. He retired after 24 plus years from the Enviromental Protection Agency, Office of Water. He volunteered much of his time at the Gatsby Tavern Museum in Alexandria, the Smithsonian Institute and the White House. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Cousins and her husband, Mark and their son, Brian all of Dumfries, and his extended family in India. A Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday, December 28, from 11 to 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, Att: Web, P.O. Box 102454, Atlanta, GA 30368-2454. Frederic Duncan, Sr.

Mr. Frederic Carroll Duncan, Sr., 63, of Woodford died on Monday, November 11, 2002 after a long illness at Mary Washington Hospital. Mr. Duncan worked for Mary Washington Hospital Environmental Services for a number of years. He lived to make people laugh and he enjoyed sports and fishing. He is survived by his loving companion, Sharon Loring; three daughters, Penny, Michelle and Cynthia; a son, Frederic C. Duncan, Jr., a sister, Dorothy Donnelly of AZ and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Fredericksburg from 6:00-9:00 pm. No funeral service is planned at this time.
