BYRNE
John J. Byrne of Ruther Glen, President and CEO of J.J.B. Advertising, Inc., passed away November 9, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Ward Byrne and her mother, Marilyn Ward Byrne of Midlothian; his fiancee, Beth L. Phillips and her children, Peter A. Verzi and Kristin Glenn Verzi of Richmond; sister, Jill Zane and her husband, Kenneth and their children, Ashley and Gregory of Cheshire, Conn.; brother, Christopher Byrne and his family of Westerly, R.I.; sister, Jane Gavin and her family of Aiea, Hawaii; and his many many friends. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the Woodstock Academy Scholarship Fund.

CANDELARIO
Walter Candelario, age 36, of Midlothian, died Monday, November 12, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Martha Candelario; three children, Walter Jr., Fabien and Derick Candelario; his mother, Antonia Serrano; sisters and brother, Maria, Jose, Brenda and Lorraine Serrano. Mr. Candelario, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and was a private duty registered nurse. The family will receive friends Wednesday night 6 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, and where funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2001. COBB
Virginia T. Cobb, 91, of Richmond, widow of Benjamin C. Cobb, died Friday, November 9, 2001 in Richmond. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Cobb Peniston-McFadden; one grandchild, Anne S. Peniston; one niece, Elaine Toler-Erickson of Pensacola, Fla. Mrs. Cobb was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Brook Hill. Graveside services will be Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to your favorite charity. Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., in charge of arrangements.

COLEMAN
Rena Hopkins Coleman, 87, of Richmond, widow of Irving Lewis Coleman, died Monday, November 12, 2001. She is survived by two sons, Ronald S. Coleman and Dr. Wayne Thomas Coleman; a sister, Maggie H. Kilpatrick; two grandchildren, John and Christi Coleman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Coleman was retired from Miller & Rhodes. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2001 in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

CORBIN
Archie S. Corbin Sr., age 80, of Roanoke, died Sunday, November 11, 2001. Among the survivors are a son and his family, Stephen Tyler and Rhonda C. Corbin; and their children, Trent and Trevor Corbin of Richmond. Funeral services will be conducted from Bonsack Baptist Church, 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2001. Burial will military honors will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke. Arrangements by Oakey's East Chapel, 5188 Cloverdale Rd., Roanoke, Va.

CREAMER
Bessie Mae Creamer, 89, died Saturday, November 10, 2001. Survived by a son, Arthur P. Creamer of Tappahannock. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at Beech Grove Methodist Church, Suffolk.

CURLEY
Arlington "Lynn" Curley of Windson, Conn., formerly of Richmond, wife of David P. Curley, died peacefully Sunday, November 11, 2001. Born in Richmond, daughter of the late Richard A. Bowen II and Elmira Ruffin Bowen. She is survived by seven children, 16 grandchildren. Funeral services and burial will be in Windsor, Conn. on Wednesday, November 14.

DABNEY
Joe Dabney of Richmond died November 8, 2001. Surviving are a daughter, Doris Dabney; two sisters, Rosa Dean and Bernice Matthews; several nieces and nephews, one devoted, Eunice Booker. Memorial services will be held Wednesday 12 noon at Scott's Funeral Home. Rev. Alonza Lawrence officiating.

DAVIS
Jessee Davis, 31, of Chesterfield Co., died November 11, 2001. He is survived by his father, Weldon R. Davis Sr.; and his mother, Peggy Shifflett; his paternal grandmother, Gracie Davis of Lyndhurst, Va.; his brothers, Weldon Davis Jr. and Michael Wayne Davis; and numerous other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at Washington Memorial Park.

DICKERSON
L. Michael (Mike) Dickerson, 44, of Richmond, died Sunday, November 11, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Jill; a son, Michael; two very special pets, Toby and Tory; his parents, James B. and Jean H. Dickerson; a sister, Angela D. Sprouse; a brother, Timothy D. Dickerson; his maternal grandmother, Mary Hornbarger; four nephews, extended family, and a host of friends. His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Percy E. Giles Sr. of Richmond departed this life Friday, November 9, 2001. He is survived by his son, Deacon Percy E. Giles Jr.; devoted daughter-in-law, Mrs. Shirley A. Giles; two grandchildren, Chanda J. and Percy E. Giles III; one brother, Delaware Giles; two brothers, Deacon Walter and Minister Frank Jasper; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, November 14, 2110, at Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts., Pastor Cleveland Hill, of New Beginning Tabernacle Ministries, officiating. Relatives and friends attending the services assemble at the funeral home 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

HADEN
Mildred Whitlock Haden, age 77, of Goochland, Va., died Sunday, November 11, 2001 after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, D. Trice Haden; one son, Douglas Haden Jr.; daughter, Joan Jaques and son-in-law, Larry Jaques. Remains rest at the Norman Funeral Home, Goochland, Va., where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Mizpah Christian Church. Interment church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mizpah Christian Church, Goochland, Va.

HENDERSON
Kenard Lee Henderson entered peacefully into eternal rest November 10, 2001. He is survived by his loving mother, Ann Marie Henderson; uncles, aunts, cousins, other family members and special friends. Private memorial services were held for our beloved Kenard November 12. JONES
Russell W. "Bill" Jones Jr., of Richmond and Covington, died November 12, 2001. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Styles Jones; two sons, Ralph E. Jones, of Chesterfield and Craig S. Jones, of Norfolk; one brother, Les L. Jones; and one sister, Ann J. McKinley, both of Richmond; one grandson, McKabe Jones. Mr. Jones was retired from Virginia Power after 37 years of service. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Avenue. If desired, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

JONES
Walter A. Jones Jr., 81, of Richmond, formerly of Irvington, passed away November 11, 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia. Survivors include his daughter, Paula Meade and her husband, Dan; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Mark, and Adam Meade, and Amy Watson, and her husband, Shane; one sister, Mildred Paulette. Mr. Jones was a former member of Branch's Baptist Church, lifetime Deacon of Irvington Baptist Church, and current member of Bon Air Baptist Church. He was a dedicated employee of Ukrop's. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Bon Air Baptist Church. Interment will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Irvington Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bon Air Baptist Church.

JUDKINS
Andrew H. Judkins of Richmond departed this life Monday, November 12, 2001. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts. Funeral notice later.
