ALEXANDER
Joseph "Joe" A. Alexander Jr., formerly of Richmond, died November 15, 2001 at his home in Ocean City, Md. Mr. Alexander was born in 1912. He was a graduate of John Marshall High School, the University of Richmond, and T.C. Williams School of Law. He was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity and O.D.K. During World War II he served as Lieutenant in the Legal Department of the Army. After the war he worked for Lawyer's Title Insurance Agency in Richmond. Later he opened the Alexander Title Agency in Washington, D.C. Since retirement he had made his home in Ocean City, Md. and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. He was a son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Alexander of Richmond. He is survived by two brothers, Mr. Stuart Alexander of Richmond and Dr. Louis Alexander of Mechanicsville; one sister, Mrs. Virginia Alexander Luter of Greensboro, N.C.; and nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Falls Church, Va.

ANGEVINE
James Woodrow "Jimmy" Angevine, 62, of Ophelia, died November 15, 2001. Surviving are his mother, Jeannette Lewis Angevine, Ophelia; sisters, Joan A. Mitchell, Ophelia and Madeline A. Gough, Burgess; nieces and nephews, Angela Kelly, Terry Keyser, Steve Mitchell, Kirk Mitchell and Brett Mitchell. Graveside services 2 p.m. Saturday, Roseland Cemetery, Reedville. Memorials may be made to Northumberland Rescue Squad, Box 1, Reedville, Va.

BABB
Mary E. Babb, 86, of Franklin, Va., died November 12, 2001 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Ms. Babb was born September 30, 1915 in Sebrell, Va. to the late Vernon Thomas and Nannie Simms Babb. She is survived by one sister, Nancy Babb Sewell of Norfolk, Va. and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers, George, Howard, Herbert, Cecil and David Babb; three sisters, Ruby Babb Birkett, Alma Babb Norris and Betty Ann Babb. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Franklin Baptist Church on Sunday, November 18 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Franklin Baptist Church Building Fund, 208 N. High St., Franklin, Va. 23851.

BARKSDALE
Margaret Mallory Barksdale, 89, of Mineral, died Wednesday, November 14, 2001. She was the widow of Howell W. Barksdale. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda B. and Eugene W. Trainum; brothers, Eugene Ray Mallory and Alvah L. Mallory Jr.; sisters, Dorothy Sharpe and Jacquline Wash; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Black and Betty Mallory; brother-in-law, Herbie Sharpe; grandchildren, Gregory W. Trainum and Kimberly D. Trainum; great-grandchildren, Allison and Nicole Trainum. She was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Eanes; and a brother, John Henry Mallory. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Woodward Funeral Home, Louisa, Va., where funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Mineral Baptist Church Cemetery.

BASKERVILLE
Alice Lee Baskerville quietly entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 10, 2001. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her brother, John Fox; sisters, Pauline Moore of New Jersey and Marie Robinson; devoted niece, Tracy Williams of New Jersey, whom Alice loved as a daughter; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave., where funeral services will be conducted Saturday, 12 noon. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. BUNTS
Dora G. Bunts, 92, died November 14, 2001. She was born May 30, 1909 in Wisconsin and was a retired nurse and a long-time resident of Richmond for over 50 years. She resided at Hathaway Towers and is survived by one niece, Aldeen Kay Fjelstad of Madison, Wisc. She was the widow of Dr. Robert C. Bunts and was a former member of Willow Oaks Country Club. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice or to the Robert C. and Dora J. Bunts Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 26311, Richmond, Va 23260.

DENNIS
Charlie B. Dennis Sr. of 3913 Larchmont Lane departed this life Thursday, November 15, 2001. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts. Funeral notice later.

DuBAY
Myrtle Baskett DuBay, age 77, died Friday, November 9, 2001. Myrt worked over 20 years at the City of Richmond Juvenile Detention Home. A Bible scholar, Myrt taught Sunday School for many years at Skipwith Baptist Church and was a volunteer for the Good News Mission prison ministries. Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Harriett R. Baskett and Martha Baskett; four nieces, Cyndie Baskett, Ginger Baskett Glenn, Mary Beth Baskett Joyave and Maria Baskett; one nephew, William Carol Baskett Jr.; E. Clinton Wilkinson, who was like a son to her, and his family; and close friend and caretaker, Doris Viar. A memorial service will be held at Skipwith Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2001. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tuckahoe Rescue Squad.

ELLIOTT
James Robert Elliott of Stevensville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 14, 2001. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Ida Langford Elliott; one daughter, Joan Packett; one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Mary Elliott; five grandchildren, one devoted, Marci Wharton; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Clifton Elliott. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at B.W. White Funeral Home, Aylett. Graveside services Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bruington Baptist Church Cemetery.

GRAVES
Mrs. Ila J. Graves of 742 Northampton Rd., Petersburg, departed this life Wednesday morning, November 14, 2001 at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg. Ila was born June 25, 1967 in Luton, England, but lived in Petersburg, Va. most of her life. She was the daughter of Jivanbhai and Laxmiben Patel. She graduated from Petersburg High School in the class of 1985 and attended John Tyler Community College. She was a former employee of Human Resources and Aapco of Richmond. Ila leaves to cherish her memory a devoted husband, John Graves; one brother, Dr. Rai Patel and sister-in-law, Priya Patel of Fredericksburg, Va.; mother-in-law, Ruth Graves of Petersburg; five other sisters-in-law, Virginia Graves, Rosalyn Graves and Amy Graves, all of Petersburg, Ida Paul (Glenn) of Escondido, Calif. and Mary Edmonds (Ronnie) of Cleveland, Ohio; one brother-in-law, Frances Graves Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio; eight nephews, Saaja Patel and Milan Patel of Fredericksburg, Ronnie Edmonds Jr., Stephen Edmonds and Brandon Graves, all of Cleveland, Ohio, Kevin Paul, Korey Paul and Kasey Paul, all of Escondido, Calif.; two nieces, Lea Edmonds and Tennille Graves of Cleveland, Ohio; a host of other relatives and many friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 17 at 2 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Halifax Rd., Petersburg. Brother Floyd Campbell officiating. Services under the direction of Tucker's Funeral Home, 415 Halifax St., Petersburg.

GRAZER
Joseph F. Grazer, 87, of Richmond, died Wednesday, November 14, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Clara R. Grazer; three sons, Joseph F. Grazer Jr. and his wife, Jane, Dr. William F. Grazer and his wife, Kathleen and Walter E. Grazer and his wife, Anita; six grandchildren, Kevin Grazer, Ellen G. Basile, Mike Grazer, Scott Grazer, Christine L. Donahue and Susan Grazer; four great-grandchildren. Mr. Grazer was a mechanical engineer and worked for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad in Richmond and Huntington, W.Va. for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 395 and the Giuseppi Lodge of Richmond. His remains rest at Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and where a Christian Wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Benedict's Catholic Church. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

GREEN
Departed this life November 13, 2001, Mrs. Lillie Mae Green of 210 Hospital Street. She is survived by three sons, Warren I. Green Jr., William D. Green Sr. and Adrian G. Green Sr.; five grandchildren, Brian, William (Jr.), Ashley and Adrian (Jr.) Green and Nachelle Carter; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Ella B. Hatcher; two daughters-in-law, Sheila Green and Ellen Green; and other relatives and friends, among them two devoted, Gertrude Epps and Caroline White. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Ronnie Fleming officiating. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 10:45 a.m. Saturday.

HAZELWOOD
Irene Elizabeth Martin Hazelwood, 98, of Richmond, died Thursday, November 15, 2001. She is survived by her granddaughter, Jayne Irene Smith Holcomb and her husband, Michael W. Holcomb of Powhatan; several nieces and nephews. Remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Funeral notice later.

HAZLEWOOD
Mrs. Myrtle C. Hazlewood, age 76, died Wednesday, November 14, 2001. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Mike Gaylor of Gloucester Point, Va.; her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Paula Hazlewood of Oxford, Ala.; one sister, Mary Cochran Perkins of Burkeville, Va.; and two grandsons, Kyle and Kory Hazlewood, both of Oxford, Ala. Mrs. Hazlewood was a member of Antioch Methodist Church, a member of the D.A.R., the Lunenburg Historical Society and the Burkeville High School Alumni. A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2001 at Farrar Funeral Home with interment to follow in Kenbridge Heights Cemetery. Memorial considerations may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Va. 23060. Condolences may be emailed to farrar@msinets.com. HEATH
Edna E. Heath, age 94, of Amelia, died on Wednesday, November 14, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, B.L. Heath; and her son, Wesley C. Wilkinson. She is survived by her son, Dewey Lee Wilkinson of Moseley; two daughters, Rachel Virginia Pollard of Tucker, Ga., and Rose Koch of Amelia; ten grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St., with interment to follow at Union Baptist Cemetery. HENDRICKS
William S. Hendricks Jr., 74, formerly of Richmond, Va. and Baltimore, Md., passed away November 13, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Hendricks; his sons, Stephen W. and Thomas R. Hendricks, both of Baltimore, Md. and John Hendricks of Naples, Fla.; one grandson, Thomas Ray Hendricks Jr. His remains rest at Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, with a graveside service to follow 2 p.m. at Dale Memorial Park.

HOLLAND
Rev. Thomas D. Holland Sr. of 2501 West Broad departed from this world on November 12, 2001. He is survived by his wife Beatrice Holland; one sister, Margaret Brown; three daughters, Beatrice, Sheila and Paulette; one son, Thomas Jr.; and a host of family and friends. HOLLOWAY
Myrtis St John Holloway, 93, of Ashland and formerly of Lunenburg County, Va., died November 15, 2001. She was the widow of Joe B. Holloway. She is survived by one sister, Elizabeth s. Smith of South Hill; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, November 17, 12:30 p.m. in the Cool Springs Christian Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Cool Springs Christian Church. Clarke Funeral Home, Kenbridge is in charge of arrangements.
