Sterl W. Sharp Sr. died May 29, 2001. Mr. Sharp is survived by his wife, Josephine A. Sharp of Covington; and one son, Sterl W. Sharp Jr.; and by two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. Arrangements by Loving Funeral Home, Covington.

SZUCHY
Anna S. Szuchy, age 94, of Amelia, died on May 29, 2001. She is survived by her nephew, Arthur Lehman; and her niece, Helen Lehman, both of Amelia. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St., Amelia. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery. ULLOM
Merilyn R. Ullom entered her eternal life with the Lord on Monday, May 28, 2001, after a relatively short cancer illness. She was cared for and is survived by her loving husband, Jack; her children, Pam and John Hamilton, Cindy and Bob Grissom, Rick Ullom, and Diane and Richard Vacca. Ma is loved and will be missed by her seven grandsons and one granddaughter. Merilyn is also survived by her mother, Myra Hanley; brothers, Glen and Tommy and their wives; nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins dear to her. She lived and walked with the Lord and will be missed. We all await the day when we will be together again. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 1, at the funeral home. Interment Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Father's Wings COC, 10131 Post Horn Drive, Richmond, Va. 23237.

WADE
Martin Hazelwood Wade Jr. of Richmond passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2001. He is survived by two close friends, Annie L. Wood and Joan Henderson. Mr. Wade was retired from the city of Richmond after 45 years. Remains rest at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., where friends will gather from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. A service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the graveside in Riverview Cemetery.

WILEY
Mrs. Charlotte G. Wiley, 70, of Powhatan, died Monday, May 28, 2001. She was the widow of Billy R. Wiley. She is survived by a son, Edward "Buck" Glascock; two daughters, Jane Anne Wiley and Elizabeth W. Goodwyn, both of Powhatan; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday. Interment Maury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

WILLIAMS
Departed this life May 28, 2001, Mr. Robert H. Williams Jr., formerly of the Nottingham Apartments. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Rosalyn Cannon; sons, Ronald, Robert and Rodney Williams; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara A. Christian; one daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives. Remains rest at the Scott-Lightfoot Funeral Home, 3021 "N" St., where funeral services will be held Thursday, 12 noon. WILLIS
Sally Mary Branche Willis, 89, of Montpelier, the widow of William W. Willis Jr., passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2001. She was preceded in death by a son, William W. "Billy" Willis III and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy W. and Tyree J. Harris of Montpelier; also three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Willis was a member of Northminster Baptist Church. Friends may call at the Laburnum Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

WOOD
Jane E. Wood died in Richmond, Tuesday, May 29, 2001. The widow of Robert D. Wood, she is survived by her sons, David Wood and his wife, Michelle, of Richmond, and Jerry Wood, and his wife, Deborah, of California; her grandchildren, Kimberly, Kristin and Todd; her great-grandchildren, Jessica, Taylor, Jacob and Chase. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull St. Rd., where the family will receive friends Wednesday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and where funeral services will be held Thursday at 5 p.m. Interment private.

WRIGHT
Mary Maynie Taylor Wright, age 95, died May 29, 2001. She is survived by six daughters, Doris Freed of Richmond, Shirley Mitchell of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Jane Unmussig of Richmond, Jo Ann Pearson of Emporia, Frances Thompson of Gaston, N.C., and Lois Stafford of Richmond; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Thursday, May 31, in the Gardens of Emporia, Emporia. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the Echols Funeral Home, Emporia.

ALEXANDER
Sidney H. Alexander, 83, of Mechanicsville, died Thursday, August 2, 2001. He is survived by three sisters, Mary A. Blanchard of N.C., Venie A. Sullivan of Sandston, and Joyce A. Kirby of Mechanicsville; several nieces and nephews. After noon Saturday, friends may call at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee Davis Road, where services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. Interment Enon United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Daybreak at Heritage Green or Enon United Methodist Church.

Shannon Britt Via Alphin, 50, of Richmond, Va., died Thursday, August 2, 2001 at her home. She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Britt Via; and her sister, Ann Stafford Via. She is survived by her father, George Edward Via Jr.; daughter, Bayley Britt Alphin; son, Jacob Via Alphin; brother, George Edward Via III; sister, Betty Ramsey Via Franke; sister-in-law, Michele Dendtler Via; brother-in-law, Gustav William Franke; nieces, Brannon Ramsey Via and Ansley Augusta Via Franke; and nephews, G.E. Stafford Via and Gustav William Franke II. Private service and burial.

BARNES
David Whittaker Barnes, age 48, of Cumberland, Virginia, died August 1, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was employed at Crutchfield Corporation in Charlottesville. He was in the Hospice Care Program at the home of his friends, Georgia and Gary Ludgate, of Farmville. Surviving are his parents, Bill and Mettie Barnes, of Richmond; his son, Jason Barnes, of Farmville; and a brother, Steven Barnes, of Richmond. His sister Julie preceded him in death February 7, 2001. He leaves many friends to cherish his memory. May God bless Georgia and Gary, his caregivers.

Nicole Clark Daniel, 20, of Chesterfield, died Thursday, August 2, 2001. She attended Meadowbrook High School and was active in field hockey and softball. Nicole was a member of the Southside Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by her husband, Richard Bryan Daniel of Ft. Knox, Ky.; a son, Dakota Preston Daniel of Chesterfield; her parents, Mike and Carol Clark of Chesterfield; a brother, Chris Snow of Chesterfield; maternal grandparents, George and Rena Yates of Monticello, Fla.; paternal grandparents, Frieda Clark and the late Ernest Clark of Monticello, Fla.; as well as aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 5, 2001 at 3 p.m. at the Southside Church of the Nazarene, 6851 Courthouse Road, Chesterfield. Pastor Jerome Hancock officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights.

deKOZAN
Ruth deKozan, 90, a long-time Richmond resident, died August 2, 2001 at a Lawrenceville, Ga. nursing home. Mrs. deKozan is survived by two sons, Raymond L. deKozan of San Diego, Calif. and R. Paul deKozan of Flowery Branch, Ga.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Her husband, Levon deKozan, preceded her in death. She was a member of Weatherford Memorial Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 7 at 11 a.m. at Maury Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street, 804-355-3800. DILL
Frances Leese Dill, age 87, of Fredericksburg, Va., died August 2, 2001, at Mary Washington Hospital. The widow of Andrew William Dill Sr., she is survived by two daughters, Rebecca D. Williams and Darlene "Dee" Dill; two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 4 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Mullins & Thompson Fredericksburg Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 5, at Riverside Community Church, Beaverdam, Va. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

EDDINS
Douglas Ray "Dink" Eddins Jr., 20, of Sutherland, died August 2, 2001 as a result of injuries sustained in a construction accident. Mr. Eddins was a lineman with C.W. Wright Construction Company. He is survived by his father, Douglas Ray Eddins Sr. of Sutherland,; his mother, Cathy Lentz of Church Road; a brother, David Eddins of Dinwiddie; a sister, Mandi Eddins of Sutherland; his paternal grandparents, Ila Mae and Ira David Eddins of Dinwiddie; his maternal grandmother, Bobbie Jean Eason of Petersburg; his maternal grandfather, Charles Lentz of Littleton, Mass.; stepmother, Patricia Hinchey; stepsisters and brother, Shenna Ilinchey, Brandon Kovalaske, Brittany Hinchey, all of Sutherland; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 6 in the Petersburg Chapel, Wythe and Adams Sts., of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Homes. The interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
