WRIGHT
Died January 23, 2001, Blanche Parrish Wright, 87, of Glen Allen. She is survived by her children, Frances W. Hazelwood of Glen Allen, Berkley L. Wright of Richmond, Helen W. Harris of Richmond, Edwin W. (Whitey) Wright of Ashland and Marion R. Wright of Richmond; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Wright was retired from the American Tobacco Co. with 35 years of service and a member of Goodwill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Nathaniel Kellum dies at 56

Nathaniel Warren Kellum's faith in God was "everything about his life," said his daughter, Andrea Kellum of Blacksburg.
"Church and family were foremost, and church was work, too."
Mr. Kellum, treasurer and director of business management for the Virginia Baptist Mission Board of the Baptist General Association of Virginia since 1982, died Wednesday, apparently of a heart attack, at his Ashland home. He was 56.
The Gloucester native graduated from Carson-Newman College in Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in mathematics in 1967.
He taught math in the Hampton Public Schools and later served, with his wife, as a house parent for the Virginia Baptist Children's Home in Salem, concurrently working for Shenandoah Life Insurance Co. in Roanoke.
A former trustee of the Richmond-based Southern Baptist Foreign (now International) Mission Board from 1982 to 1991, he also served as chairman of deacons at Cool Spring Baptist Church in Mechanicsville.
Survivors besides his daughter include his wife of 34 years, Doris Ann Daughtry Kellum; a son, Wendell Kellum of Allentown, Pa.; and a sister, Lucille Warren of Gloucester.
A funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Union Baptist Church in Achilles, with burial in Rosewell Memorial Garden in Gloucester.
A memorial service will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at Cool Spring Baptist Church in Mechanicsville.

ANDERSON
A memorial service and luncheon for Rev. Marshall Wilson Anderson Sr., who died on February 25, 2002, will be held on Sunday, March 24, 1 p.m., Providence UMC, 901 S. Providence Rd. Memorial gifts may be sent to Providence UMC.

BISHOP
Rebecca McDowell Bishop, age 71, widow of E. Earl Bishop, died Friday, March 22, 2002. She was preceded in death by brother, F.C. (Tip Jr.) McDowell. She is survived by her son, Edward E. Bishop Jr. and his wife, Pamela G. Bishop of Glen Allen; her daughter, Carol Bishop Elmore and her husband, Thurman E. Elmore of Prince George, Va.; three grandchildren, Kerri A. Bishop, Daniel E. Elmore and Kevin E. Bishop; her sister, Frances Lafoon of Hampton, Va. Mrs. Bishop was a member of Westhampton United Methodist Church and was a heart transplant recipient of over 14 years. Remains rest at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, and where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

BLAIR
On Wednesday, March 20, 2002, David M. Blair, age 27, went to be with the Lord. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Kathy Brashier; his brother, Lee Blair; and other loving family. The family expresses gratitude to the staff at Ruxton Health Care and Bon Secours Hospice. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2002 at the Ramsey Memorial United Methodist Church, 5900 Hull Street, where gifts may made in his memory.

CUGLE
Constance S. Cugle of Baltimore, Md. died Saturday, March 16, 2002. She is survived by her son, Howard Cugle; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4600 Cox Rd., Suite 130, Glen Allen, Va. 23060.

DUNKLEY
Funeral services for Milton Dunkley who departed this life on March 17, 2002, will be held at Chiles Funeral Home today at 1 p.m. He is survived by a loving family, and host of friends.

EDWARDS
Lillian Winston Edwards entered into eternal rest on March 20, 2002. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert W. Edwards Jr.; two loving children, Myra E. Miller (Oscar), Robert W. Edwards III (Florinda); one devoted sister, Esther W. Kimball; four grandchildren, Capt. Oscar Miller (Lynea), First Lt. Kelly Miller, Danielle Miller and Robert W. (Doll Baby) Edwards IV; two great grandchildren, James and Elizabeth; several brothers-in-law, sister-in-laws; nephews and nieces, among them three devoted, Lolita W. Anderson, Marie Deloris and Colleen Winston; a host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 25, 2002 at 1 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, 1400 Idlewood Ave. and Randolph Streets with Dr. James W. Harris officiating. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens (Glen Allen). The remains will rest in church 1 hour prior to services where the family will receive friends 12 noon until time of funeral. EURE
Eugene Jordan Eure, 63, of Chester, died Friday, March 22, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Peggy D. Eure; two stepsons, Cary B. Zuckero and Alan M. Zuckero; one brother, Worth Bagley Eure Jr., one sister, Nancy Carolyn Brockwell; several nieces and nephews; and five stepgrandchildren. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a retired bookstore manager with MCV/VCU and a retired employee of Food Lion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 25 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 West Hundred Road, Chester. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bensley Bermuda Rescue Squad.

HAYDEN
Eleanor B. Hayden, 67, of Richmond, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002. She is survived by one son, Tom Hayden and wife, Shanda; two grandchildren, John and Lindsey Hayden; her parents, Clifford and Amy Berryman; one brother, Jim Berryman; one sister, Jean Cummings. Mrs. Hayden was a retired nurse with McGuire Veterans Hospital. HICKS
Rupert M. Hicks, 93, of Richmond and Colonial Beach, widower of Daisy Frye Hicks and Mildred Lohr Hicks, died Thursday, March 21, 2002. He is survived by his son, Thomas M. Hicks; stepson, Michael Lohr; stepdaughter, Elaine Wizda; sister, Booker H. Childs; five stepgranddaughters, Sherri Vaeth, Cindy Schumacher, Theresa Alfano, Susan Haarer and Angie Zepp; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Josh and Griffin Haarer; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Hicks retired in 1971 from Reynolds Metals. Remains rest at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., where the family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, with funeral services following at 2 p.m. Interment in Gethsemane Church of Christ Cemetery.

HORD
Genevieve Rawlings Hord of Richmond, widow of Granville L. Hord Jr., died Thursday, March 21, 2002. She was preceded in death by her sister, Beatrice Rawlings Herndon. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Georgette Rawlings of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; three nephews and their wives and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Mrs. Hord was a lifelong member of The Church of the Epiphany. She retired from Reynolds Metals Company after 45 years of service. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the graveside from 10:30 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Church of the Epiphany or the Scottish Rite Childhood Language Center at Richmond, Inc., 4202 Hermitage Rd., Richmond, Va. 23227. HUFNER
Margaret Eleanor Rush Hufner, 83, born July 20, 1918, of Richmond, entered eternal rest and went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ March 21, 2002. She was the widow of the late William Benjamin Hufner Sr. She was the daughter of the late William P. Rush and Iantha Maude Slayden Rush. She was a past member of Montrose Baptist Church. For 32 years, she was manager of the jewelry department for F.W. Woolworth Department Store, 5th and Broad Sts. She retired at the age of 70 and went back to work part time until the store closed in 1993. She is survived in loving memory by three devoted children: her daughters, Patricia H. Landis and Judith H. Currie; one son, William Benjamin Hufner Jr.; one son-in-law, John Y. Currie III; and one grandchild, Cynthia Bronwyn Currie. Remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery. JACOBS
Anne Campbell "Scotty" Jacobs passed away Thursday, March 21, 2002. She was the widow of Albert Luck "Petey" Jacobs. She is survived by her two sons, Dr. Malcolm Campbell Jacobs and Dr. Albert Luck Jacobs Jr.; two grandchildren, Hallie Jacobs Lacy and Albert Luck Jacobs III; three great-grandsons; and her much loved brother and sister, Eugene Leroy "Dick" Campbell and Martha Campbell "Pat" Dabney. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, the Tuckahoe YMCA and Lakewood Manor Retirement Community. Scotty was a kindergarten teacher at St. Christopher's School and a wonderful supporter of her husband's activities at St. Christopher's and the Collegiate Schools. She lived each day as if it were her last, loved life and inspired all those she met along the way. She will be missed. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church Tuesday, March 26, 2002 at 2 p.m.

JOHNSON
J. Wilson "Bud" Johnson, 76, of Richmond, Va., went to be with his Lord on March 20, 2002. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary C. "Fran" Johnson; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Sharon Johnson; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Tommy Jackson; and three grandchildren, Bobby, Kelly and Christopher; two sisters, Mildred J. Glasco and Bobbye J. Mooney; and a host of other relatives. Bud served in the Navy during WWII. He was retired from General Electric Co., member and deacon of Northminster Baptist Church and a teacher of the Ready Class. He had a longtime membership with the Highland Park United Methodist Church and the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the Metropolitan Lodge No. 11, AF&AM and a 32nd degree member of the Richmond Scottish Rite Bodies. A memorial service will be held at Northminster Baptist Church, 3121 Moss Side Ave., on Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m. Following the memorial service, there will be a light reception, where the family will receive friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northminster Baptist Church.

Departed this life March 22, 2002, Mrs. Bertha M. Jones of Richmond. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St. Funeral notice later.

KELSEY
Irene Carroll Kelsey, 93, of Richmond, daughter of the late James T. and Katherine P. Carroll, widow of Dr. Harry R. Kelsey, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2002. She was also predeceased by three sisters, seven brothers, four nephews, one niece, two stepsons, one stepdaughter, and one stepgrandson. She is survived by eight nieces, 10 nephews, 11 stepgrandchildren, and their families. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday (today) at 10 a.m. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the James T. and Katherine P. Carroll Scholarship Fund, Benedictine High School, 304 N. Sheppard St., Richmond 23221 or St. Joseph's Home (Little Sisters of the Poor), 1503 Michael Rd., Richmond 23229.
