Jordan F. Woolfolk, 68, of Ruther Glen, Va., died January 24, 2001, at his home. Remains may be viewed Sunday, January 28, from 1 to 8 p.m. at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Va. and also one hour before the funeral. Funeral service will be held at Reedy Baptist Church in Ruther Glen, Monday, January 29, 11 a.m. Rev Richard E, Tillman, officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery. Services of comfort entrusted to: C.W. Edwards Funeral Home of Bowling Green.

WRIGHT
Algie V. Wright of Richmond died January 25, 2001 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Frances Alley Wright; daughters and sons-in-law, Eileen and Bernard Robertson, Carol and Charlie Benton; grandsons, Charles Garner, David Tunkel and Christopher Tunkel; brother, Ralph R. Wright. He was a veteran of WWII and served with the 843rd Signal Service Battalion in Alaska. His entire 42 years of employment were with the C&P Telephone Co. and he was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. He was a member of Branch's Baptist Church and formerly a member of Westover Hills Baptist Church for many years. His family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10), with memorial services to be held at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making memorial contributions to Bon Secours Hospice, 5875 Bremo Rd., Suite 710, Richmond, Va. 23226 or to your favorite charity.

ZURN
Virginia Lloyd Zurn, of Danville, formerly of Richmond, Va., widow of H. Anthony Zurn Jr. died Saturday, January 27, 2001. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, A. Lloyd and Scarlet Zurn of Danville, Va.; also three grandchildren, Daniel, Stacey, and Leah; one great-grandchild, Sydney. Remains rest at the Laburnum Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Monday. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

ANDERSON
Annie Badgett Anderson, 99, of Louisa, Va., died Tuesday, October 9, 2001. She is survived by two daughters, Sadie A. Hubbard of Kents Store and Dorothy A. Vogt of Louisa; three sons, Edward O. and Wesley M. Anderson of Louisa, and Russell T. Anderson of Kents Store; grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2001 at the Lacy Funeral Home, Route 522, Mineral, Va. A private interment will follow in the family cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Thursday.

ANDERSON
James W. (Boots) Anderson, age 63, of 1433 Drewry St., Richmond, departed this life October 8, 2001. He was an Air Force and Army veteran. He leaves behind his loving wife, Rachel K. Anderson; and brother, Harvey Randolph Anderson of Harrisburg, Pa. He will be missed by his sisters-in-law, Ola Morris and Esther Anderson. James also has a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. His remains rest at K.L. Jordan Funeral Services, 5008 Nine Mile Rd. on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and where funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2001 at K.L. Jordan Funeral Services. BARNES
Dr. Lemuel G. "Greg" Barnes III, age 49, of Prince George, Va., died Sunday, October 7, 2001. He graduated in 1970 from Prince George High School and was admitted to the Corps of Cadets, V.P.I. and State University. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1975, Master of Science Degree in 1985, and Doctorate Degree of Philosophy majoring in Electrical Engineering in 1994. He is survived by his mother, Pearl B. Krantz of Richmond; two brothers and their wives, Stephen Hardy and Connie Barnes, Michael Gee and Darlene Barnes; three nephews, Stephen H. Barnes Jr., Michael Travis Barnes and Gregory Taylor Barnes, all of Prince George; a niece, Natashia Fawcett; and a great-niece, Lindsey Fawcett, both of Dinwiddie. Chapel funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 10 at 2 p.m. at the Hamner-McMillian Funeral Home, Blackstone, Va., where the family will receive friends at 1 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.

BOOKER
Mrs. Addie Wyatt Booker, of 2123 N. 29th St,. died October 9, 2001. Remains rest at the Scott-Lightfoot Funeral Home, 3021 "N" St. Funeral notice later.

BOYD
Melvin Holmes Boyd Sr., 81, of Richmond, died Monday, October 8, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Watkins Boyd; one son, Melvin H. Boyd Jr. and his wife, Lynnette Boyd; granddaughter, Carrie; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Boyd retired after 38 years with the Chessie System. He was a member of Chamberlayne Baptist Church. Remains rest at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and where services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 11. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lakeside Vol. Rescue Squad or Chamberlayne Baptist Church.

BRINKLEY
Lemuel R. "Pete" Brinkley Sr., 77, of Richmond, died Monday, October 8, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 54½ years, Martha Griffin Brinkley; daughter, Linda Darlene Spires and her husband, George; son, Lemuel R. "Rusty" Brinkley Jr. and his wife, Beverley; three granddaughters, Laurie Haley and her husband, Michael, Mary and Elizabeth Spires; three grandsons, Shawn, Phillip and Daniel Brinkley; two great-grandsons, James and Kameron Haley, all of Richmond; sister, Dorothy Kaster and her husband, Fred of Titusville, Pa.; sister-in-law, Annie Mary Brinkley of Newport News, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Brinkley served in the Army in Europe during WWII with the 114th Evacuation Hospital Unit, and was an engineer with VDOT for almost 38 years. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd. Services will be held at Bon Air Presbyterian Church, 9201 West Huguenot Rd., on Thursday at 11 a.m. conducted by Dr. Charles Grant. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4600 Cox Rd., Glen Allen, Va., 23060.

Marcellous Chaney of Danville, Va., died Saturday, October 6, 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Wade Chaney. He is survived by seven daughters, Connie C. Carter, Cynthia C. Halstock, Corlette C. Holiness, all of Danville, Claudia Chaney, Carolyn C. Hall, both of Newark, N.J., Candacy C. Mitchell of Blanch, N.C., and Carmelita Chaney of Columbia, S.C.; 29 grandchildren, two sisters, Rev. Lillie C. Adams and Bernice C. Schowers, both of Danville; three brothers, Ben Chaney of Lynchburg, Stephen Chaney of Danville and Rev. Bernard K. Chaney of Richmond, Va.; three sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 11, at the Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home in Danville. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, Danville.

CHRISTIAN
Anne Katherine Smith Christian "Bobbie," 86, of Richmond, died October 9, 2001. She was born in Winchester, Va. in 1915, the daughter of Allie Humston and William Breckenridge Smith. Mrs. Christian's mother died when she was nine months old and she was raised in Marshall, Mo. by her father and stepmother, Alta C. Smith. She attended Westhampton College in Richmond, was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, and was a former member of the Ginter Park Woman's Club. She was the widow of Clyde West Christian and was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Clyde West Christian Jr. Survivors include a daughter, Kay Christian Hunter and son-in-law, James Staples Hunter; five grandsons, David West Christian, Brett Stephan Christian, Dr. James Staples Hunter Jr., Thomas Christian Hunter and Robert Kirk Hunter; two granddaughters, Katherine Christian Pemberton and Michelle Brianna Christian; and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, October 10 at 11 a.m. in Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bon Secours Hospice, 8580 Magellan Parkway, Building IV, Richmond, Va., 23227 or a favorite charity.

Geraldine G. "Jerry" Coleman departed this life on October 6, 2001. She leaves to cherish fond memories her husband, Robert E. Coleman; mother, Sarah Gray; daughter, Geraldine Delores Harris; two grandchildren, Carlise J. Harris of Mitchellville, Md. and Collins J. (Janice) Harris III of Bowie, Md.; one great-grandson, Collins J. Henry Lee Cox, 64, of Goochland, Va., departed this life Tuesday, October 9, 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Geneva Cox. He is survived by three sons, Henry L. Cox Jr. of Goochland, Kenneth W. Cox and John W. Cox of Richmond; six grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, a devoted friend and a host of nieces and nephews. Remains rest at the Robert Mealy Funeral Home, Goochland. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 11, 2 p.m. at First Union Baptist Church, Crozier, Va., where his remains will lie in state one hour prior to service. Rev. Frank Lomax, pastor, officiating. Interment church cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church Thursday, 1:30 p.m.

Gary Andrew Groves, 21, of Powhatan, left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 7, 2001. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Sue Groves. He is survived by his loving parents, Sue Andrews and Terry Groves, both of Powhatan; grandparents, Howard and Margaret Taylor of Hertford, N.C.; sister, Rhonda Partin and her husband, Wes of Mechanicsville; brothers, Rusty Groves and his wife, Linda of Powhatan, Rick Groves of Virginia Beach, Chuck Groves of Richmond and Howie Groves and his wife, Amanda of Southport, N.C. Also surviving are nine nieces and nephews, Tyler Simmons, Emily Partin, Rikki Groves, Arienna Groves, Charlie Groves, Carly Kerr, Summer Groves, Jarrett Groves and Dylan Stafford. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Huguenot Rd. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Midlothian Ward, Duryea Rd., Midlothian, Va. Interment will follow in Powhatan Community Cemetery. Ethel Brock Hawk, 80, of Maidens, Va., died Monday, October 8, 2001. She is survived by two sons, Raymond W. Brock Jr. and Ryland D. Brock; her daughter, Jerry Rainier; her sister, Lillian Snipes; 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Her remains rest at the Lacy Funeral Home, Route 522, Mineral, Va., where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in the Hawk Family Cemetery, Maidens.
