COOKE
Tina Brown Cooke died Wednesday, February 20, 2002. She was born June 3, 1928 in Fredericksburg, Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles Braxton Leary and Virginia Vaughn. Mrs. Cooke was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert H. Brown and Edward Cooke and is survived by two sons, Robert H. Brown Jr. and his wife, Cynthia Hickey Brown of Dallas, Texas, Charles Wilson Brown of Siesta Key, Fla.; five grandchildren, Coleman Randolph, Charlotte Elizabeth, Robert Wilson, Jeffery Leary and Laura Adelle Brown, all of Dallas, Texas. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation.

COSBY
Mrs. Mary F. Cosby of Hildreth Street departed this life Monday, February 18, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Venus Cosby; brother, Willie T. Henderson; three sisters, Barbara Henderson, Dale Plummer and Shirley West; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one uncle, Thomas Henderson; several brothers-in-law, among them Jerry Plummer and devoted Eddie L. West; several sisters-in-law; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Streets. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 22, 1 p.m., at Cedar Street Baptist Church of God, 2301 Cedar Street, Dr. Benjamin W. Robertson, pastor, officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. Remains will rest in church one hour prior to services. Relatives and friends attending funeral services assemble at the church Friday, 12:30 p.m.

CRADDOCK
Myrtle Leigh Jones Craddock, born January 21, 1936, went home to be with her Savior on February 19, 2002. She leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Parker and Sarah Jones; her loving husband of 48 years, Lloyd E. Craddock; four sons, eight daughters, 20 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother, a brother-in-law, a sister-in-law, three daughters-in-law, seven sons-in-law, a host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at J. Leroy Charity Funeral Home, Charles City. At 12 noon Saturday Mrs. Craddock will rest at Little Elam Baptist Church, where services will be held 2 p.m. Burial church cemetery. Family will receive friends in the annex after the burial. No repast, please omit food.

CRICHLOW
Departed this life February 20, 2002, Mrs. Daisy G. Crichlow of 2643 Pilkington Rd., Powhatan, Va. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 North 25th Street. Funeral notice later.

DANKO
George J. Danko Sr., 87, of White Stone, died February 20, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Danko; three sons, David M. Danko of Adamstown, Md., Paul J. Danko of Eldersburg, Md. and Peter J. Danko of York, Pa.; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, George J. Danko Jr. A Mass of the Resurrection will be said on Saturday, February 23 at 10 a.m. in the St. Francis DeSales Church, Kilmarnock, with interment in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kilmarnock-Lancaster Vol. Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 333, Kilmarnock, Va. 22482.

DIXIE

EDMUNDSON
Wilmoth Booth Edmundson, widow of the late James R. Edmundson of Wilson, N.C., died on Tuesday, February 19, 2002 at Eden Pines where she resided for the past four years. A native of Petersburg, Mrs. Edmundson attended Petersburg High School and Gunston Hall. She was a daughter of Judith Cecile Evans Booth of St. Louis, Mo. and Benjamin Saunders Booth of Petersburg. She lived in Petersburg until 1940 when she moved briefly to Venezuela, S.A. with her husband, Frank A. Deffenbaugh III. Later, she and her second husband, James R. Edmundson of Wilson, N.C., made their home in Smyrna, N.C. She returned to Petersburg after his death. Mrs. Edmundson was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include cousins, Leslie M. Booth of New York City and Charlottesville, Mary Spencer Sonneborn of Charlotte, N.C., Patrick H. Booth Jr. and John R. Booth of Petersburg; and a nephew, Benjamin Saunders Booth III, also of Petersburg. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by the J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Petersburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the S.P.C.A., 1906 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Va. 23834.

FAULCONER
Oscar L. Faulconer, 87, of Richmond, died February 20, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Jean Faulconer; three children, Barbara Marrin and Richard and John Faulconer; brother, John Faulconer; sister, Gracie Morris; five grandchildren, Mary Beth Selby, Melissa Lohss, Dina Hamilton, Anne Marrin and Rory Faulconer; and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday (tonight) at Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad.

FELTON
Harold William (Bill) Felton, M.D., 74, died peacefully at his home in Deltaville surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 19, 2002. Dr. Felton practiced medicine in Deltaville for 42 years, opening his office in July of 1956. He was a member of the American Medical Association, a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and also a member of the Medical Society of Virginia, the Mid-Tidewater Medical Society, the Board of Directors of Rappahannock General Hospital, and a former member of the Board of Directors of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Virginia. Dr. Felton was among the eight men who started the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad of Deltaville in 1956. It was the county's first rescue squad, and one of the first in the state of Virginia. He was the squad's medical director for more than 40 years. Dr. Felton was also a community leader, a Middlesex County School Board member from 1966 to 1973, a good listener and humorist, and a confidant to his patients. A World War II Navy veteran, he served as a pharmacist's mate, stationed in California. He graduated from West Virginia University with a B.A. and B.S. in Medicine, and the Medical College of Virginia with a M.D. degree. He served his internship at Wayne County General Hospital in Michigan and his General Practice Residency at Sheltering Arms Hospital in Richmond. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marie B. Felton; two sons, Gregory L. Felton and his wife, Susan of Richmond, Philip A. Felton and his wife, Susan of Gainesville, Florida; two granddaughters, Kyra Lyn and Kess Marie; his mother, Lillian Felton of Locust Hill; and two sisters, Elizabeth Felton of Marydel, Delaware and Shirley Handley of Olney, Maryland. The family will receive friends at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home in Saluda from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2002. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2002 at Clarksbury United Methodist Church in Hardyville, with burial to follow at the cemetery. A reception will be held immediately after the interment at the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad building in Deltaville. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad, Inc., P.O. Box 98, Deltaville, Virginia 23043 or Clarksbury United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 10, Hardyville, Virginia 23070.

GEIGER
Jeannette Marie Geiger, age 18, of Phenix, Va., died Monday, February 18, 2002. Surviving are her mother, Cindy Longerbeam Kreykenbohm; stepfather, Warren C. Kreykenbohm; father, Frank W. Geiger; two sisters, Elizabeth and Rebecca Geiger; two brothers, Billy Geiger and W.C. Kreykenbohm; her fiance, William Hall. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Browning Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the Browning Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

GREGORY
Doris Baquol Gregory of Naples, Florida, formerly of White's Heritage, Chester, Maryland, died February 15, 2002 at The Windsor. She was the daughter of the late Charles J. Baquol and Mary Dersch Baquol. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Joseph Baquol. She is survived by her husband, Luther Weston Gregory of Naples, Florida; her daughter, Susan Gregory Landin and son-in-law, David Craig Landin of Richmond; her son, David Weston Gregory and daughter-in-law, Marian Frances Gregory of Queenstown, Maryland. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Peter's Church, Queenstown, Maryland at 1 p.m. on February 18, 2002, with interment following in the church cemetery. Contributions may be made to The University of Virginia School of Nursing, c/o Linda Davies, Post Office Box 800782, Charlottesville, Virginia 22908.

GRIGGS
Minnie Witt Griggs, 93, of Richmond, formerly of Arlington, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2002. Mrs. Griggs, wife of Methodist minister, Louis W. Griggs, was born in Winchester, Ky. and moved to Virginia in 1929. She is survived by her children, Carlton G. Griggs and Virginia Irvin; grandchildren, Christopher H. Griggs and Brian, J.D. Jr. and Richard Irvin; and a nephew, Hugh Witt. The family will receive friends Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m., at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd. Graveside services will be held Saturday, 12:30 p.m. at National Memorial Park, Arlington, Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Belmont United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Mrs. Sadie Bell Hicks of Richmond, Va. died Tuesday, February 19, 2002 in Louisa County, Va. The staff of the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home is serving her family.

HOSKINS
Mrs. Jean C. Hoskins, 61, of Henrico, died on Wednesday, February 20, 2002. She was a native of Port Washington, N.Y. and had been a local resident for nine years. She is survived by her husband, Collin H. Hoskins; two daughters, Jeanne M. Jaramillo of Potomac Falls, Va. and Kathleen Coyle of Rochester, N.Y.; and her mother, Genevieve Dunn; and sister, Joan Kolb; both of Gonzales, La. JERMAN
Rev. Carla Binford Jerman of 2928 Northumberland Ave., formerly of Sharon, Conn., died February 18, 2002. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Eleanor R. Binford; one brother, Terry Jerome Binford; five great-aunts, Mrs. Ruby G. Robinson, Mrs. Ethel Y. Yancey, Mrs. Leola B. Parks, Mrs. Louise B. Boyd and Dr. Virgie M. Binford; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. She was a retired teacher for Richmond Public Schools, where she taught at John F. Kennedy High School, Henderson Middle School and Chandler Middle School. Her remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where the family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. and where the Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc.
