Mrs. Patricia A. Willis of 4900 Laurie Lane departed this life February 16, 2002. The staff of the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home is serving her family.

WITHERSPOON
Dora Maye Carroll Witherspoon, age 47, of Sandston, left us suddenly to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 16, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Gil Witherspoon; her children, Angela Marie and Wayne Eugene Witherspoon and his wife, Jennifer; her mother, Nina Carroll and her father, Roy Carroll; a sister, Rhonda Gayle Moss and her husband, Ronnie; a beloved nephew, Ryan Nicholas Moss; and her mother-in-law, Hester S. Witherspoon. Dora was a longtime employee of Henrico County and a member of Sandston Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday. Entombment Washington Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Sandston Baptist Church. NELSEN FUNERAL HOME

AL-SHAIF
Hamood Al-Shaif, age 26, of Richmond died July 13, 2001. A private service was held July 19, 2001.

ALVIS
Douglas Jackson 'Jack' Alvis, 70, of Goochland, Va., died July 18, 2001. Survived by two sisters, Viola A. Bickley of Louisa and Minnie Alvis of Goochland; one brother, James Alvis of Richmond; also, two special friends, Shirley and R.J. Holman of Goochland. He was predeceased by one brother, J. Rogers Alvis. He was also a Korean veteran. Remains rest at the Norman Funeral Home, Goochland, Va., where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Graveside service will be held Friday, July 20, 11 a.m. at Hollins Family Cemetery, Sandy Hook, Va. Memorials may be made to the Goochland Fire & Rescue Squads, Co. 5.

ATKINSON
Hermine Maier Atkinson, age 71, formerly of Richmond, died July 16, 2001 in Jacksonville, Fla. Survivors include her husband, Clyde D. Atkinson Sr.; two children, Clyde D. Atkinson Jr. and Elizabeth A. Atkinson; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and other loving family members. Mrs. Atkinson was a retired Chesterfield Co. School bus driver. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, and where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.

BLAKES
Departed this life July 18, 2001, Mrs. Edna Mae Blakes of 1311 Wallace Street. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral notice later.

CARTER
Dianne A. Carter died Sunday, July 15, 2001. Beloved daughter of Louis H. and Gertrude G. Carter; mother of Cynthia D. Carter of Richmond, Va.; also survived by four sisters, eight brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; a devoted friend and other relatives and friends. Family visitation 12 noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 21. Funeral services at Latney's Funeral Home, 3831 Georgia Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. Rev. Jerry Harris officiating. Ebony M. Coleman of 921 Old Denny St. entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 16, 2001. She was preceded in death by her father, George (Ned) Brooks. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted mother, Regina C. Williams; stepfather, Samuel R. Williams Jr.; four sisters, Katrina, Larita, Nieta and KaTammy; two brothers, George Jr. and Fernanza; three stepsisters, Michelle, Pamela and Samita; one stepbrother, Samuel Robinson; maternal grandmother, Florence Hieskill; 10 uncles, Percy, Clarence, Lloyd, Breyan, Michael, Alan, Dana, Ron, Steve and Glen; 12 aunts, Sandra, Florence, Virginia, Cynthia, Freda, Amanda, Brenda Lee, Sharlene, Joann, Betty, Cathy and Lorraine; five great-aunts, two great-uncles, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; godmother, Tonette Jones; a host of other relatives and friends, among them a loyal friend, Theodore Trueheart; and a devoted friend, Unique Berry. Remains rest at the Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where the family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. Remains will lie-in-state 12 noon Saturday at Mount Zion Baptist Church, Hanover County, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Rev. Stephen W. Pugh officiating. Burial church cemetery.

COLLINS
Bette Grace Collins, age 60, died Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Col. Albert and Beatrice Satterthwaite Raudabaugh; and one son, Jeffrey A. Corwin. Survivors include her husband, L. Grayson Collins; three sons, Richard W. Corwin III and his wife, Deborah, Philip P. Corwin and his wife, Leigh Anne, Steven D. Corwin and his wife, Jackie; six grandchildren; three brothers, Albert S. Raudabaugh Jr., Skip Raudabaugh and Eddie Raudabaugh; and a host of many devoted friends. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., Glen Allen. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2001, at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bon Secours Hospice, 8580 Magellan Pkwy., Bldg. 4, Richmond, Va. 23227.

DALRYMPLE
Ross Lawrence Dalrymple, 54, of Midlothian, departed this life to live with the Lord on Wednesday, July 18, 2001 at his home after a courageous and honorable battle with cancer. Born December 15, 1946 in Lockport, N.Y., he was the son of the late Daniel M. And Esther M. Dalrymple. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Frederick) Dalrymple; sons, Ian R. Dalrymple and Colin A. Dalrymple, at home; daughter, Heather C. Dalrymple of Richmond; three brothers, Dana G. Dalrymple and wife, Helen of Washington, D.C., Douglas J. Dalrymple and wife, Nancy of Bloomington, Ind., Roger D. Dalrymple and wife, Pam of San Leandro, Calif.; and one sister, Anne D. Krantz and husband, Ted of Amherst, N.H. He is also survived by eight nephews and seven nieces as well as many cherished friends, colleagues, and family members including parents-in-law, Pat and Arnold Frederick of Irwin, Pa.; sister-in-law, Pam Piper and husband, Dennis; and brother-in-law, Martin Frederick and wife, Barbara. Ross was an architectural sales representative of Daltile Corporation. He graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in 1969 and received a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Buffalo in 1972. He served in Vietnam as a first lieutenant in the Army Quartermaster Corps after receiving a distinguished ranking in ROTC at Cornell. He was a member of the Brandermill Church, active in Indian Guides, and was a member and former secretary of the Richmond chapter of The Construction Specifications Institute. A service to celebrate his life will be held at the Brandermill Church, 4500 Millridge Parkway, Brandermill at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 21. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Brandermill Church Building fund or the Colin A. Dalrymple and Ian R. Dalrymple Scholarship Fund established by Daltile colleagues at the Franklin Federal Savings and Loan, Attn: Barbara Moss, 9000 West Huguenot Rd., Richmond, Va. 23235.

DeNITTO
Dorothy Ridgell DeNitto, 80, of Richmond, died Wednesday, July 18, 2001. She was the widow of Louis Carman DeNitto; and is survived by her eight children, Barbara Leonard, Louise DeNitto, Donald DeNitto, Louis DeNitto, Antoinette Giovenco, Constance Lewis, Dana DeNitto, and Angela McDowell; 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Guy and Agnes Faunco, both from Leonardtown, Md.; and dear friend, Shirley Pridgen. Her remains rest at Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Avenue, where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and where a Christian Wake will be held at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Bridget's Catholic Church. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Bridget's School or Church, 6006 Three Chopt Rd., Richmond, Va. 23226-2730, St. Gertrude's High School, 3215 Stuart Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23221, or the charity of your choice.

DONOHO
Rudy Alan Donoho, 47, of Mechanicsville, died Thursday, July 19, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Judy C. Donoho; son, Jason Dale Donoho; grandson, Ryan Wayne Donoho; and his parents, Delbert and Juanita Donoho. Mr. Donoho attended Hanover Church of the Nazarene, and was an employee of Saxon Shoes for over 20 years. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Homes, 1771 Parham Rd., where services will be conducted 12 noon Saturday, with interment in Westhampton Memorial Park.

EPPS
Stella I. Epps, 88, of Richmond, daughter of Joseph and Bessie Isaacs, died Thursday, July 19, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia E. Dressler and her husband, Frank C. Dressler and stepgrandson, Frank C. Dressler Jr.; and a special freind, Kathy Wiggins. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 21 from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church followed by 11 a.m. Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church, 4491 Springfield Rd., Glen Allen, Va. Woody Funeral Home, Atlee Chapel, is handling arrangements.

FALZOI
Frank John Falzoi, Chief Corpsman, U.S. Navy (ret), 61, of Chester, died July 18, 2001 in Hunter McGuire Veterans Hospital. Chief Falzoi was born in Hornell, New York, a son of the late Salvadore V. and Ethel Bailey Falzoi. He retired as a Chief Corpsman after 20 years of service; his duty time included two tours of duty in Vietnam as an Independent Duty Corpsman with the USMC. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prince George where he taught the adolescent confirmation class for 10 years and was a member of Pax Christi. Survivors include his wife, Judith Parker Falzoi of the home; a son, Thomas Falzoi of Tallahassee, Fla.; a daughter, Margaret M. Marquardt of Panama City, Fla.; two grandchildren, McKensey and Ethan Marquardt of Panama City, Fla.; a sister, Melanie Falzoi of Hornell, New York; two brothers, Robert Falzoi of Laurel, Md., Jeffrey Falzoi of Rochester, New York; aunts, Margaret, Rita and Lena of Hornell, New York. A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 21 in Sacred Heart Church, 4415 County Dr., Prince George, with Father James Gallagher celebrant. The interment, with military honors, will follow in the church cemetery. A Christian Wake service will be held at 7 p.m. tonight in the church. The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to his memory to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or to Pax Christi. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapter of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.

FOLDS
Thelma G. Folds, 81, departed this life on July 19, 2001. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Linda Campbell; and a brother, Warren Glenn; as well as three grandsons, Chuck, Todd and James Campbell. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Maury Cemetery.

FOSTER
Margaret Lucille Foster, 82, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2001. She was the widow of William B. Foster Sr. and is survived by her children, Ann Stott, William B. Foster Jr., Ernest Foster, Shirley Small; 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; two brothers, James H. Throckmorton and Fred R. Throckmorton; four sisters, Louise Toth, Lillian Stone, Florence Fowler and Pauline Gray. Mrs. Foster was a member of Laurel Hill United Methodist Church and a member of the Varina American Legion Auxilliary No. 233. Her remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday and where funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21. Interment Washington Memorial Park.

FOSTER
Mrs. Sarah Louise Thames Foster of Virginia Beach, Va. and formerly of Jacksonville, Fla., and Richmond, Va. died June 11, 2001 in Virginia Beach. Her husband, Mr. Hugh Foster Jr., preceded Mrs. Foster in death in 1982. Survivors include a son, Hugh B. Foster and his wife, Monica, of Ponte Verde Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Susan Foster Leonard and her husband, Benny, of Virginia Beach, Va.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A memorial service and celebration of life for Mrs. Foster will be held on her birthday at 2 p.m., Friday, July 27, in the penthouse of Westminster Canterbury, 3100 Shore Drive, Virginia Beach, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mrs. Foster's memory and in honor of her daughter to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Hampton Roads Chapter, 405 Parliament Dr., Suite 105, Virginia Beach, Va. 23462.
